Cassian's POV
As I stepped into the garden, I spotted Alexandro with a servant; the lady's figure from the back looked like that of Celine.
I was agitated already without even finding out if she was the one.
As I drew closer, the more it dawned on me that the lady was Celine.
She was laughing, a part of her I've never witnessed. How could Alexandro spin his magic so easily?
"Emotions are for the weak; you don't care what others feel, you only think what benefits the empire. And if it means killing, you kill," the words of my father rang in my ears, forcing the growing warmth to disappear instantly.
Celine was my slave and nothing more, so why do I get agitated watching her laugh at my brother's joke?.
I considered heading over there and startling her, but it was of no use; I would rather let her be.
