Andrew looked at the girl before him at some distance, who stopped at an ice-cream parlor, and a smile appeared on his face when he saw her chuckling at the vendor who made some kind of joke.
He watched Elara eat the ice cream with so much joy that he even forgot he had ever brought such a smile to her face.
All he could remember was her waiting for him to come home so they could eat together. And all the times her smile faltered because he would say something off or come home after eating outside.
Andrew sighed with guilt as he kept following her to the park.
He pulled out his cotton mask and wore it to hide half of his face before sitting on the bench at a further distance.
He saw Elara sit in a swing as she played with the kids.
Andrew had no intention of following her, but with his heavy heart, he just wanted to meet her once.
