The stench of blood had spread in the hall. The girl, who had been writhing in pain earlier, lost consciousness for the second time, just after being whipped five times.
The fall to the side probably messed with her head again.
"Wake her up," The person with the whip said, and the leader, who was in charge of kidnapping and the efficient working of the team, nodded at one of the men, who brought the jug of water from the side and threw the water on Elara's face.
"Make her sit," the person said.
Elara, jolted awake from the water splash, her head swaying.
It was a good thing that she had fallen on the right side since her left side still ached from that bullet wound, and since she was tied to the chair, it took the major impact of the whippings. But it was painful nonetheless.
She looked at the person before her with seething eyes full of hatred, angst, and a fire of revenge.
The person looked at her observantly before smiling sinisterly.
