One of the most common things that happens when submiting a manuscipt is not meeting the standard of how you visualize it. She already chose and imagined the whole plot and picked a proper location for a setting but if the main director has another suggestion in mind, it will be toss out to trash. Most of the time it resulted into a much better version but sometimes it does not.
An abandoned mansion or building is fine, but an abandoned church or watchtower is better. It means they will be having a long trip to do the shoot and everyone will be there. They are all overjoyed except for Debbie. Why did she create a script with a horror genre in the first place?
"You look so down?" Liam asked.
It started to irritate her. This guy is quiet most of the time yet somehow gets a little more talkative whenever he's with her and she only noticed that when she is already irritated in their conversation.
She smiled, "I think you have lots of spare time to be here, so I should just go," she said.
"Why don't you just lower your pride and date me?" He insisted. Wherein, he always does insist recently, everytime he talk to her. People around them is noticing such action that made them the most intriguing couples at work.
If you seek a quiet work–life balance, workplace romance does not always preserve it because everyone is fuzzing about it. Jealous girls are getting mad at her while that Liam seems to enjoy it.
"I don't want to be link with a popular guy and became an infamous cinderella villainess," she said directly and plainly.
Being exposed to too much attention, stress and negativity is exhausting. It's not funny, she really hates it.
"And it's quite obvious you want to date me because you want to avoid those women. Go find at least someone who is near your age," she added.
For most girls its an opportunity, to date a tall, younger & good looking guy but for her it is not a good idea. If only he is mentally stable and emotionally mature which are rare. Men mature 4 years later than women.
"Okay, let us put it this way. Why don't we make a beneficial deal? Will that change your mind?" He asserted.
She is worried about visiting haunted places because the things out there started to not just linger and manifest but to co exist at the same vibration as her. It will be more dangerous if she go however her presence is needed as a member of the team.
Debbie was baffled thinking why is he so eager to date her? Is it because he just want to won the bet? Or maybe he made a deal with the other boys about dating her? Or who knows maybe because he was bored? Is there any other reason behind his actions?
"I'll protect you while you date me in exchange? We can keep it exclusive as much as possible, if that's what you desire," He offered. "I won't benefit that much in this relationship but it will be help you so much,so what do you think?," he added.
She was silent. She did not reacted harshly and kept her gaze straight at him, thinking. "What a bright idea,' This is the first most beneficial offer she encountered this year.
She believed that everything will goes back to normal again and she can still endure up until the moment. Where from the peak it will start to descend back to the initial line. So, it means they do not need to be together for a very long time.
She got enough time since it is also a great opportunity to know more about the things that is happening around her, to find out the mystery about this guy and to understand more unknown facts about herself that she is still unaware of.
Yet before she comply she asked "Can I ask you something?"
"What is it for you? What benefits will you get from this set up? I am not the only one who will benefit, right? If it is not the same reason on why you are very eager about this. Would you just let me know? I cannot be ignorant with OUR deal, right?" Her emphasis, getting to the main point. They cannot enter a parasitic relationship where only one side benefits. He is not an id*t to do so. She asked intentionally so she might find out why.
"It is just merely repaying a debt." He said briefly.
He gave the idea that it is not about a romantic feeling but something so trivial. Debbie's expression was totally confused.There is no way she met this guy even once before this time in her life. Previous life? Where in she do not really believe in because she haven't proven it by herself yet. Would this be the opportunity she needs to support it? Or...
Does one of her family members help this guy? Or any one from her bloodline who do the charitable work? She would have believed him if he had said it was the other way around.
He wanted to stay with her and protect her until her debt is paid but is rather 'HIS debt' than 'HER debt'.
Earlier, she was almost convinced to enter the deal. Now, it makes her want to hesitate. She knows she is crazy most of the time because her family and friends never forgets to remind her that she always act that way all the time but this guy will complete the madness a hundred percent.
Though, 'crazy people does not know they are crazy.' The thought is pushing her to do the right thing and that is to ask just to check if she's right. "Excuse me, I don't want to be rude but are you crazy?" She dare to ask.
"No," he answered. "But if that's how you want to put it, maybe," He gave her a vague statement.
Debbie is trying to be positive as much as possible, thinking, 'maybe it will be cleared along the way'
"Fine but let me give you my terms and condition," she insisted.
She finally agree, "What would that be?" He asked. Baring a 'What now' expression. He sighed in relief at the idea that he is able to persuade her to comply but what requirement does se need?
"What would those conditions be?, " she corrected, with emphasis.
"I had this gut feeling that you will decline most of my terms just because it comes from me," he added which is in fact true.
"It's not like that, you see..." she said yet wad interrupted by his statement "But it is," he uttered.
She is close with almost everybody but somehow this Liam can get into her nerves easily like he knows her for a long time.
"First, I have boundaries, you cannot force me to something I don't want. Second, you should not control my life. Third, I prefer someone who respect my grounds," she stated because she definitely have a lot of grounds to take care of.
It is indeed hard to date someone who already have a fully developed brain. They are the people who wouldn't allow anyone to freely ruined their life.
"So no feelings involve, just needs to be taken care of?, " she stated summarizing the whole contractual relationship. The statement sounds awkward but she needs to make sure where they are standing and what will be the limits.
Will she be able to find answers to all her questions while keeping her personal bubble safe and untouched? Though she is already 30 so she need to at least try to be in a relationship again. It is not something to be scared about. Liam will definitely agree with her terms however will she be able to agree with his?
The next few days, the whole team prepared to go to the place. They are sorted by team and the props department went initially to prepare the area.
