Evan Lee — POV
I sit in the bathtub, warm water shimmering around us, steam clinging to the air like a veil. Rion is behind me, arms wrapped tightly around my waist, our bodies still tangled together. Even after everything—after taking far more than my strength—he refuses to let me go.
My whole body aches. Every inch of me is sore, marked, claimed. Bite marks bloom across my skin like bruised flowers.
Rion rests his chin on my shoulder, lips brushing lightly against my skin as he whispers,
"Are you okay?"
I stare at our reflection in the mirror wall—the way his body molds against mine, the way his arms cage me so naturally. After everything he did… he's asking that now?
I sigh and turn my face away.
He inhales deeply at my neck, voice low and coaxing.
"Kitten… are you angry with me?"
"Of course I am," I snap quietly. "Do you even realize the mess you created?"
He blinks, genuinely innocent.
"What did I do?"
I turn to face him, meeting his eyes directly.
