"As much as the three of you seem to be troublemakers within the school, you three are also top of your class in your respective disciplines." Diaz began.
"Adam, top of his class at his in the Para-robotics corps. Koi is the rising star of the Wizardry school, and Ethan..."
Diaz looks up to Ethan. "Well, Ethan's really pleasant to look at :)"
Ethan smiles, quite satisfied with this.
"And besides that, Ethan's inborn powers are growing rather strong. So strong it took Adam's Paranormal energy understanding to challenge it and Koi's wizardry power to dispel it."
"So since we have a new program within the school of teaming up students from different departments, I think it would be a good idea to put you 3 on a team together. It'll work like checks and balances. You three will test each others abilities and strengthen them, and also keep each other in line. Because if either one of you ever destroys school property again or gets into any kind of major trouble."
A glint shone on Professor Diaz's glasses, which put a sort of exclamation point on the words he was about to say. "All three of you will go DOWN."
Adam gulped. Then all three boys looked at each other. This was about to be a major problem.
'So Adam, I'm going to need you to move from the Skyward dorms to the Seaward dorms so you can be closer to your new team mates. Think of this like a group project. You three pass, together. Or you fail together. I think you three have the ability to great job. I wish you all good look.'
And Diaz sat there smiling, waiting for the annoying children to vacate his office as soon as possible least he destroy them.
And the trio was dismissed Ethan found himself in kind of a daze as he left Diaz's office and walked out into the bright sunlight.
Yes, this would be a problem. Ethan didn't really "do" teams, he like working on his own. He also didn't like hanging out with other guys that much. He wasn't exactly
'A mans man."
Ethan was the fantasy of a lot of girls at Menzai. They gazed at him with longing eyes, hung on his every word. And fought to be around him. Ethan of course, liked to spread his love around. He was into "Charitable." He'd dated Ugly broads, braces faces, and a couple of fatties.
Women were like food, and sometimes Ethan had a taste for something more rugged, more succulent, something more destructively decadent.
He'd even go
'Vegan" if the mood struck him.
Why not? They were only women after all. Only one matter and she was far away...
Boys were the complex ones. He didn't hate them, but he definitely preferred a woman's company.
Friendships broken with other boys made a deep tear. A tear so deep Ethan couldn't even find it to begin stitiching it back together.
He couldn't go through that again.
It was late at night in the dormitory. A redhead was still sleeping next to him.
It was around one thirty when the screaming started. The redhead groaned but refused to get up. Ethan awoke and immediately. The voice of the screaming was familiar but not to these dorms. It didn't take much detective work after that to figure out who the screaming belonged to.
His head was aching, and he nearly tripped over a bottle of liquor as he tried to stumble out of bed. He was already fully dressed except for shoes, ready to ditch the red head and go out on another, more important date. He ran his fingers through his hair and tried to sober up enough to figure out what the hell was going on at 3 am.
He left red to continue sleeping safe and sound in his bed as he stumbled out of the dorm room, into the hall, and towards the sound. It came from the boys' bathroom at the very end of this hall.
Ethan knew to be cautious; his only weapons were a small pocket knife he always kept with him at all times, and his natural electric abilities. Since his powers were magical and inborn, they weren't able to be effectively bound like the wizardry kids powers. But they were subdued. Ethan couldn't really glow with his natural electric brilliance until he left the dorms.
The screams grew louder, and now there was banging, breaking, and begging…
Ethan tried to push open the bathroom door, but it was locked.
"Open the fucking door, dumbass!" He shouted, punching it hard, then regretting it immediately as his fist radiated with pain. The whole floor was awake now. People slowly crept out of their rooms to see the drama and gather more details to share with their friends in morning classes.
Fuck this. Ethan thinks. His body charges up, and he blows the doorknob open with one bright, loud crack of voltage.
When he walks in the scene is far more intense than he'd imagine. Blood was smeared all over the walls. There was a sink running over with cold water. In his rush, Ethan forgot his shoes, and his toes got instantly drenched in the icy, red-tinted liquid. Adam was cowering in the corner, stunned and shrieking. He was covered in blood, and Ethan could make out a loud, open gnash on the side of his face.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you screaming like that?" Ethan says, he looks around to see what Adam was screaming about. He could see nothing else in the bathroom. But what made that gnash on the side of his face?
There were some items strewn on the floor near him. His dorm keys, some loose change, and a pill bottle. Pill Bottle? Ethan grabbed Adam at both sides of his tee-shirt collar.
As soon as Adam feels Ethan's hand on him, he spazzes. Arms and hands flailing, and higher-pitched screaming.
The sting from a smack turns Ethan's head, but he doesn't let go. He flings Adam across the bathroom, making his body crack against the wall. Ethan approaches his hand begins cracking and sparking again.
"First night in our dorms and I'm already SICK of you, Kirage! I'm getting sick …very…really…" as Ethan says the words he becomes dizzy.
Oh crap. Ethan turns towards a toilet and collapses near it. He pulls himself up around the rim to vomit into the water.
"The blind leading the blind." A voice says now from the doorway.
Adam cowers in the corner, shivering and crying, but at least his screams have stopped. He looks at Ethan wretching into the toilet, but Koi feels he's seeing something else entirely.
Koi stomps over to Adam and grabs the pill bottle. After inspecting it for a minute, he twists it open and grabs Adam by his hair, pulling it back hard, making him open his mouth to scream again.
"Take your pills!" He yells at him. Pulling out a fist with two black pills.
"Adam!" He shouts at him as he keeps thrashing. "God damn you, crazy son of a─"
Koi straddles Adam and sits on his back. Pulling his head back, he smacks his hand hard against Adams' mouth to throw the pills in.
Ethan, meanwhile, had since passed out with his arms around the rim of the toilet bowl and his head on his arms. Sleeping peacefully as a child in his mother's arms. How nasty!
Koi looks from him back to Adam, who was still whimpering beneath him. Whatever was going on in his head moments ago, he was coming down off it.
"Shaddap!" Koi mutters. He gets off of Adam and trudges through the icy wet floors to start pulling up Ethan. The blond giggles a little, muttering something about Adam needing to see the school psychiatrist.
"Then I guess you need to see some kinda drug counselor," Koi struggles to walk him out the door. "What the hell made you think you could rescue Adam while you're drunk yourself?"
"Ain't no rule that says don't drink and save." Ethan snickers.
But in Menzai there was on that said "Don't drink and spell cast" since a drunk wizard could be extreamly destructive. Even though Ethans powers were inborn, the rules applied to him too. Hell, he had nearly thrown Adam threw a wall and the electrical shock he cracked popped the door off it's hinges could have killed someone if they were standing behind the door.
