Chapter 12: Erin the Adventurer

A bright day started with the sun blessing the town of Riveria with its warmth. Erin's day began under the warm sun, training on the ground — sweat pouring from his body like water. Huff… huff…

It was Erin's first day in this town full of adventurers and warriors far above him, all with feats attached to their names. The legendary party, the pride of Riveria — S-RANKED.

The name of the party was NIGHTFALL OATH.

The party consisted of three members — two supporters and their leader, a swordsman worthy of the name, wielding a dark sword.

Erin went to the guild to get registered as an adventurer. The receptionist welcomed him kindly; her name was Meli. She was very kind to Erin.

Erin finished the paperwork and was taken to test a magic crystal to see what type of magic he had.

Erin had never used his magic before, ever — but his sword skills were on par with a master level.

The results shocked everyone.

CRACK—!

The crystal broke under his magical energy, releasing the brightest light ever seen.

The guild master took Erin to his room after being informed about the situation. Erin had passed the test, leaving everyone stunned by his results.

The guild master talked with Erin and tested him personally to make sure he was good enough for this town.

Erin passed with shocking results — without even using his magic.

The guild master asked,

"Why didn't you use your magic?"

Erin replied calmly,

"I have never practiced magic."

Making the guild master even more shocked… and stressed.

Erin was given D-rank, despite his results, until he practiced his magic and became stronger.

The guild master suggested he train under one of the supporters of the S-rank party to improve.

Erin looked through the board and took a quest for monster hunting.

Everything was going well for Erin, and he began his training with the support member of the S-rank party.

Later, the guild master spoke to their leader. His name was Zoro — the strongest swordsman ever, wielder of the dark sword.

He asked him to train Erin under him and his members, believing the boy had a bright future.

Zoro agreed and took Erin for training. They went to a ground to spar — Zoro wanted to see how good Erin truly was.

The fight began. Zoro closed one of his eyes, giving Erin a handicap, even using only one arm.

Erin smiled.

"Don't underestimate me this much."

Zoro smiled back.

"Come then — prove me."

CLANG!

A fierce battle started. Swords clashed — sparks flying — Zoro clearly having the upper hand, showing Erin how much work he still had to do.

Erin prepared a special attack. Zoro smiled at the sight, preparing his own.

Before Erin could move—

WHOOSH!

Zoro struck.

Wind Sword Style: Iaijutsu — Lion's Song.

PUFF—

Zoro was already behind Erin, sheathing his sword.

CLICK.

Erin collapsed to the ground as Zoro had struck him with the back of his blade, knocking him unconscious.

Zoro smiled as he noticed a small scratch on his face.

He laughed and asked his members to take Erin to his inn.

SMACK!

Zoro was slapped hard on the head by his members.

"Zoro, you idiot! Don't laugh — help us out!"

Until next chapter… see ya. 👍
