"Next stop, pet supply store." Voss carried large and small bags. "Buying a house for Tom and Jerry."
The pet supply store was filled with a dazzling array of cat houses and dog houses. Tom was very interested in a three-story luxury cat villa, while Jerry fancied a multi-functional mouse house with a slide.
"Sir, your pets are very special," the clerk looked at Tom and Jerry curiously. "They seem to understand human language?"
"They are quite smart. How long will it take to make them?" Voss explained.
Tom and Jerry also looked at the clerk, wanting to know the answer from him.
"A wooden house of this size will take about three days to make, and we will deliver it to your door then," the clerk said.
Next was the home goods store. Bedding, towels, bath towels, kitchen seasonings… a large pile of daily necessities quickly drained Voss's wallet.
Fortunately, the original house already had a TV, washing machine, and other furniture and appliances, otherwise Voss's savings would really not be enough.
The last stop was the supermarket, to buy groceries and daily necessities. Pushing a shopping cart around the supermarket, Voss felt like he was living a normal person's life.
"Milk, bread, eggs…" Voss muttered as he pushed the cart. "What else do we need?"
"Meat! Lots and lots of meat! I want to eat meat, Voss! (☆▽☆)." Artoria tugged at Voss's sleeve, her eyes sparkling, pointing at the meat section.
"And vegetables and rice."
Voss thought to himself: "Artoria is too cute, ah~ even if I die at this moment, I will have no regrets~"
"This goddess wants wine!" Aqua rushed to the alcohol section. "How can it be called life without wine?"
"You're only seventeen or eighteen, you can't drink!" Voss quickly stopped her.
"This goddess is an adult goddess!" Aqua protested. "And alcohol is this goddess's specialty!"
"In this world, you are underage!" Voss insisted. "At most, buy some juice."
Voss knew that Aqua was an alcoholic in the other world, addicted to drinking, and had caused Kazuma no end of trouble because of it.
Tom and Jerry were very interested in fish and cheese, but their appetites were small, so a little was enough.
By the time shopping was over, it was already evening. The four returned to their new home with large and small bags.
"So tired…" Voss collapsed on the sofa. "Shopping is more tiring than fighting monsters."
"This goddess thinks it's very interesting!" Aqua excitedly tidied up her newly bought clothes. "Especially trying on all sorts of clothes!"
Artoria was busy in the kitchen preparing dinner: "Master, what should I make for everyone with the new ingredients?"
"Anything will do," Voss said, smelling the aroma from the kitchen. "We've all seen your cooking skills."
Tom and Jerry sat in the living room, looking forward to their exclusive house being delivered in three days.
At dinner time, Artoria made a sumptuous meal. Although she used ordinary ingredients, they became exceptionally delicious under her skillful hands.
"It's too delicious!" Voss was so moved he almost cried. "It's so happy to have a roommate who can cook."
"This goddess also wants to learn to cook!" Aqua suddenly announced. "I can't always let Artoria be busy alone."
Artoria and Voss exchanged glances, both seeing worry in each other's eyes.
"You… Hmph~(ˉ▽￣～) Cut~~, yesterday you said you wanted to learn combat skills from Artoria, and today you want to learn to cook. Can you? You just learn everywhere."
Voss glanced at Aqua up and down, mocking her disdainfully.
"You! You! How dare you question this goddess's intelligence and wisdom! I am clearly very talented! ╰( )o" Aqua was already exasperated by Voss's taunts.
"Ahhh! I'll fight you! You insult this goddess every time!"
After Aqua finished speaking, she charged at Voss with a "boar rush."
Voss was caught off guard and knocked onto the sofa by Aqua's headbutt.
"Voss, are you alright?" Artoria quickly helped Voss up.
"I'm fine, just a little dead, o(￣┰￣*)ゞ"
"Hehehe, little brother, I told you not to laugh at this goddess. (～￣▽￣)～"
"Alright, alright, watch my deadly scissor kick! ε=( o｀ω′)ノ"
Voss directly pounced on Aqua with a "carp leap," clamping Aqua's head with his legs and tying up Aqua's legs with his hands.
"Help me~ Artoria, quickly teach me!" Aqua kept waving her hands for help.
"If a tiger doesn't show its might, do you think I'm a little rookie?! I'm asking you, have you surrendered?"
Watching this bickering couple, Tom and Jerry shook their heads wildly nearby, apparently they were used to these two lively characters fooling around.
"Alright, alright, you two calm down." Artoria helplessly separated the two wrestling on the floor.
"It's only been a new house and you're already making such a fuss, what kind of behavior is that."
"Voss provoked me first!" Aqua sat on the floor, tidying her messy hair. "This goddess clearly has a lot of talent for learning!"
"I was stating a fact." Voss patted the dust off his body, a look of disdain on his face.
"You can't even play games well, and you want to learn to cook?"
"Games and cooking are completely different things!" Aqua stood up indignantly.
"When this goddess was in heaven, I often attended various banquets and had a lot of research into cuisine!"
"Really?" Voss raised an eyebrow. "Then tell me, how many minutes does it take to fry an egg?"
"This…" Aqua's eyes darted around. "Five… fifty minutes?"
"Pfft!" Tom directly spat out the water he had just drunk, and Jerry also covered his stomach and rolled on the floor.
"Fifty minutes to fry an egg? Are you refining pills or cooking?" Voss looked at Aqua speechlessly.
"And research, I think you're researching how to blow up the kitchen."
Artoria lightly coughed nearby: "Actually… if Aqua really wants to learn, I can teach her some basics."
"Artoria, you're so kind!" Aqua immediately pounced and hugged Artoria's arm. "Unlike a certain mean guy!"
Voss rolled his eyes: "Fine, but let's be clear, if you blow up the kitchen, you pay for the repairs."
"This goddess won't blow up the kitchen!" Aqua said defiantly.
After dinner, the four were busy with their own things in the living room. Voss was tidying his desk, preparing to continue writing in his new home tomorrow.
Artoria was tidying the dishes in the kitchen, her movements graceful and skilled.
Aqua was holding her new game console, studying the instruction manual, occasionally asking questions like "Huh? What does this button do?"
Tom and Jerry were exploring their new environment in the living room. Tom was very interested in the small garden outside the French windows, while Jerry was studying the space under the sofa.
"Oh, right, Artoria." Voss suddenly remembered something. "I might be writing at home tomorrow, do you have any plans?"
"I don't have any special plans." Artoria walked out of the kitchen. "If Master needs me, I can help with some chores."
"Don't be so polite, you're not a maid." Voss waved his hand. "Do whatever you want, treat this as your own home."
"Then I want to go for a walk nearby and get familiar with the surroundings," Artoria said. "As a Servant, I need to understand the terrain of this area."
"This goddess wants to go too!" Aqua immediately raised her hand. "I heard Greenwich Village has a lot of interesting places!"
"Alright, you two go together." Voss nodded. "Remember to bring your phones, contact me if anything happens."
Tom made a gesture of "we want to go too" nearby, and Jerry also nodded in agreement.
"Alright, alright, you all go." Voss smiled. "That way I can write in peace."
And so, everyone had a happy and uneventful day.
