Black Mask had accomplished his goal and won the SWF Universal Championship. However, this was only his first goal, he had much more in store for himself and the rest of his team.
In following weeks, Black Mask had made pushes for his subordinates to be given title shots of their own. The overall goal of the Dark Dynasty was to control every single belt in the organization after all.
Black Mask had won the SWF American Championship in a first to two falls match the previous week against the defending champion PA Knight.
With Twilight Killer and Black Knight both winning individual championships they were put on a fast track for a shot at the Tag Team titles. They won a top contender fight and would fight for the SWF Tag Team Championship belt at the next pay per view event.
The tag team of Night Queen and Black Maria had also been on a winning streak that earned them a chance to fight for the SWF Women's Tag Team Championship. Maria herself hadn't been competing in many individual matches, therefore she hadn't earned an individual title match up.
As Dark Mistress was technically not a part of the Dark Dynasty, Black Mask didn't make a push for her to compete for a major title. Though she was on track to eventually challenge for one of the lesser championships.
A few weeks after the SWF Universal Championship was won by Black Mask, the organization was set for another premium event. The event was the Battle in Brussels which would be held in Brussels, Belgium.
Several major matches for the Dark Dynasty would be held during this event. Night Queen and Black Maria would be taking part in a six woman tornado tag match that would determine the number one contender for the SWF Women's Tag Team Championship. The Warriors of Darkness, which is the tag team of Twilight Killer and Black Knight, were challenging for the SWF Tag Team Championship. The main event would be Black Mask's first title defense.
There was one more match that was of some significance to the members of the Dark Dynasty though it didn't involve any of their members. Tonight would mark the return to the ring of former World Women's Champion Hiyori Moon. She would be challenging Jill the Ripper for the title that she only lost due to injury.
The first match of the night was a title match for the SWF Women's American Championship. Chloe Crimson was defending her belt against Margret Muscles. Crimson defended her belt before she was confronted by Dark Mistress after the match and she demanded a title match of her own. The two then got into a brawl that had to be broken up by several members of security.
The next match was the number one contender match for the SWF Women's Tag Team Championship. The match would be a 6 woman tornado tag match. Essentially, three teams would be in the ring at the same time with the winners earning a shot at the title.
The team of Night Queen would be facing a team consisting the Punishment Squad's Rubi Salvaje and Morgan Lynx. Their other opponents would be the tag team known as the Amazon Warriors.
The match was brutal and chaotic with so many women in the ring at the same time. The Amazon Warriors were two powerful women named Diana and Andromeda. The two eventually took control of the match with their overwhelming strength. However, Rubi was a powerhouse as well and was able to go toe to toe with the Amazon Warriors in terms of physical strength. Though her need to prove her strength distracted her from the goal of the match in the first place.
With Rubi distracted, Morgan Lynx was left by herself against both Night Queen and Black Maria. The two were able to easily overwhelm their outnumbered and out matched opponent to get the win by pinfall. After the match, Morgan Lynx got into a shouting match with her tag team partner, blaming her for their loss. Rubi would eventually storm off and she was off brooding when she was approached by Black Mask.
"You had a brilliant performance. It's too bad that it wasn't appreciated by your teammate. I think that perhaps your talents aren't being properly utilized by your current team." Black Mask told her.
"You don't know anything about me, so why don't you just leave me alone? I'm not in the mood for whatever it is that you're up to right now." Rubi responded.
"Oh but I do know about you. You're talented enough to catch my eye, but you're being wasted by those inept clowns called the Punishment Squad. If you were to join me, I could maximize your true potential."
"Oh really? I've heard you pitch the same thing to a few of the other girls. Are you sure that you're not just trying to surround yourself with pretty women?"
"Don't be ridiculous, I'm simply looking to add talented individuals to our ranks. Man or woman, I'd accept anyone with strength and talent into my dynasty. That is the kind of magnanimous king that I am."
"Tch, whatever you can save your sales pitch for someone who cares. I'd never abandon my teammates." Rubi said as she stormed off.
"That's fine. You will all come under my control eventually." Black Mask said.
Black Mask had been having more and more episodes where it seemed that he wasn't acting like his usual self. Though most people were too caught up in the excitement of his title fight victory to really notice. In fact, most wouldn't notice his unusual behavior until it was too late. For now, Twilight Killer and Black Knight would be challenging for the SWF Tag Team Championship in the night's co-main event.
