Chapter 24 - Immortal star taoist

Chapter 23 – The Four Realms and the Fallen Star

Before the world knew peace, before the Rift split the heavens —

there were four realms, bound by ancient law and divine flame.

The Heavenly Realm, where Celestial Kings ruled the elements and time itself bowed before their will.

The Earthen Realm, cradle of mortals and cultivators, ever reaching upward toward immortality.

The Demon Realm, realm of chaos and blood, where strength reigned above all reason.

And lastly — the Nebula Realm, the realm of stars and balance, bridge between light and shadow.

It was said the Nebula Realm shone brighter than the heavens themselves.

Five great founders built its core — beings born of starlight who forged balance between the divine and the damned.

But one fell.

---

The War of Shattered Skies

Eons ago, the Demon Realm sought to devour the stars. Their legions marched upon the Nebula gates, led by the Void Monarch, whose power could consume galaxies.

The battle raged for centuries — stars burned out, realms collided, and the balance shattered.

The Nebula Lords fought valiantly, their celestial flames devouring darkness… until betrayal came from within.

A founder — one of the Five — fell to corruption, and the Nebula Realm collapsed under its own dying light.

Fragments of its essence scattered across space and time, falling into the mortal world —

and with it, the last sparks of Nebula bloodline.

The Child of Two Realms

> "You are… one of them."

Those words echoed faintly in Yin Jin's mind as he sat cross-legged within the Hall of Origins.

Before him floated an ancient orb of liquid starlight — the Nebula Memory Core — showing visions of realms lost to ruin.

Xu Liang stood at his side, his expression unreadable.

> "Your fire," the elder said quietly, "it's not mortal… nor purely demonic. It carries the frequency of the stars — and the taint of the void."

Yin Jin's eyes glowed faintly gold and black.

> "So what am I?"

> "A contradiction," Xu Liang replied. "A Nebula Demon — child of starlight and abyssal flame. The last echo of a realm that no longer exists."

Yin Jin fell silent. In the swirling visions of the orb, he saw faces — faint silhouettes of warriors bathed in cosmic fire. Among them… one looked familiar.

> "That one," Yin Jin said, pointing. "Who is he?"

Xu Liang hesitated.

> "That… was Shen Luo, one of the Five Founders of the Nebula Realm. He bore the Black Sun Flame — a fire said to burn even divine souls."

The realization struck him like lightning.

Shen Luo — the name that had haunted his dreams, the voice that sometimes spoke through his fire — was not a stranger.

He was his ancestor.

Beneath the Twin Moons

As Yin Jin absorbed the revelation, the orb dimmed, revealing faint echoes of another figure — a woman with silver hair and two glowing tails.

Chaein.

Xu Liang turned toward the fading image.

> "And she… she carries the legacy of the Twin Moon Vixen Tribe — once protectors of the Nebula Realm's borders. When the realm fell, they fled into the Demon World."

> "So we're both… remnants of that war," Yin Jin murmured.

Xu Liang nodded.

> "Perhaps even its continuation."

In the Shadows of Destiny

Later that night, Yin Jin stood outside beneath the open sky, his black-gold flames swirling faintly around him.

He clenched his fist.

> "A Nebula Demon… born of destruction."

Behind him, Chaein appeared, her presence silent as falling snow.

> "You saw it too, didn't you?" she whispered. "The war, the fall… everything."

He nodded, his gaze distant.

> "Our blood carries their sins."

Chaein stepped closer, frost glimmering in her eyes.

> "Then maybe… we can end what they started."

For a moment, the twin moons above shimmered brighter — one golden, one silver — casting their combined light over the two of them.

Two bloodlines of a dead realm.

Two hearts burning with inherited fate.

And somewhere beyond the stars, something stirred — an ancient presence whispering across dimensions:

> "The fallen star has awakened. The Rift will open again."
