"Azula had stationed the guards around here, but due to the number, they have multiple bases throughout the city, with multiple cells holding the city guards," Ty Lee said, standing on a pole while looking towards a base.
"So? Can't we just go and defeat them and get on with it? I don't believe they are that strong as mere soldiers," Katara said with a raised eyebrow as she looked up at Ty Lee.
"Yeah, we could do that, if you want the city guards in the cell to be blown up by bombs planted, in case they manage to escape," Ty Lee said with a shrug, and Katara frowned.
If those city guards have bombs attached to the metal cell they are in, then wouldn't it explode as soon as they try to open the cage to free the city guards?
"Well then, how are we supposed to free them? If we attack, it blows up; if we try to free them, it will blow up either way," Katara asked, and Ty Lee shrugged before looking at Norrak for answers.
"Don't worry, you two. It might indeed blow up, but have you forgotten that the greatest waterbender is right next to you?" Norrak asked with fake hurt as he stepped forward.
The two immediately followed, and as soon as the three appeared in the sight of the Fire Nation soldiers, they were surrounded. The commander stepped forward, ordering them to surrender.
"Get blood bended, bitch!" Norrak raised a single hand as he activated his Six Eyes. The soldiers in the vicinity instantly groaned as their bodies froze due to Norrak.
The blood in their bodies stopped flowing to the lungs and heart, and Norrak continued this until they silently died due to oxygen loss and their brains shutting down.
He could have made it much, much worse than what he had done, like exploding their blood and causing their bodies to burst apart into flying guts and bone fragments.
But that would be too gruesome even for Norrak. Especially with Katara and Ty Lee right next to him. They would definitely be freaked out, except maybe for Katara.
"Well, follow me to free the city guards, ladies~," Norrak walked past as the soldiers dropped to the ground like lifeless puppets. Ty Lee looked at one with wide eyes, seeing their throat not move.
"You killed them? Jeez, I know they were bad, but won't the people start to fear us if you do this?" Ty Lee asked in confusion as he followed after Norrak.
"No, you might not understand yet. But the people outside of the Fire Nation want the war ended at all costs, even if the cost is the extinction of the Fire Nation," Norrak explained.
"So it's better I kill some soldiers in the while, instead of allowing the world to gang up on the Fire Lord and destroying the Fire Nation," Ty Lee listened with attention, while Katara walked to the cell.
Crack!
Ice freezes around the bombs attached to the cell, along with a wire that will detonate them at the slightest movement. Norrak struck the frozen bombs, destroying them without exploding them bombs.
"You guys are free! The avatar saved you all! Spread the word, the gospel of the avatar's return after a hundred years!" Norrak said with a firm, devoted tone, his hands high in the air.
The city guards in the cell looked at Katara with wide, filled eyes. They nodded at Norrak's words as they ran away from the place. Norrak turned around, and he rubbed his hand.
"Seems like we only have two more bases like this to go to. But why are there so few soldiers here?" Norrak muttered with a confused look. Sure, Azula did not think these few soldiers would defeat him?
"It's because last-minute Azula changed her plans. Instead of calling the army here, she decided to aid a general of the nation by sending her soldiers during his attack on the Northern water tribe," Ty Lee spoke up with a hint of guilt.
She knew that Norrak and Katara were both waterbenders, and very powerful at that. So she was sad, as this could make both of them angry at her.
"Oh?"
"What?!" Compared to Norrak, Katara reacted more explosively, turning to face Ty Lee with wide eyes, anger burning inside them. The Northern water tribe is the last place with waterbenders.
If they died during the attack, wouldn't she and Norrak be the last waterbedners in the whole world? Becoming the new airbending population zero due to the Fire Nation.
"But it seems like they failed since the moon was restored along with your bendings! So, yeah... I think it's okay now?" Ty Lee said with a nervous chuckle, trying to speak up for Azula.
"Alright, stop the bickering, you two. It does not matter now; all that matters is that it's over. Now, let's finish the two other bases," Norrak said as he started flying.
His Chi wrapped around Ty Lee, flying her along with him, while Katara sprouted refined wings on her back due to practice. She levitated, rushing after Norrak.
[1 hour later...]
Boom!
Norrak kicked the gate leading to Bumi's prison, and about a dozen soldiers inside the room froze before their blood stopped moving, killing them in the process.
"Oh? It's the performance girl! Did you bring your friends to entertain me?" Bumi spoke from the metal cage dangling in the air with an excited smile.
Norrak chuckled before vanishing. He appeared before the iron cage, and with a punch, the front dented, before a second impact of Chi tore the metal open.
'Divergent Fist!' Norrak thought in his head.
Boom!
Bumi jumped out of the cage, spinning in the air before landing on his feet. The ground trembled before sinking under him. He pierced the ground with his palm, and then groaned as he pulled.
Boom!
A massive boulder weighing almost 10 tons was pulled out, before Bumi held it above his head. Bumi laughed madly before throwing the boulder towards Norrak.
"You, senile man, trying to have fun in this way?" Norrak chuckled, but he never backs down from a fight, especially when it's someone who could improve his level.
"You're on!"
Boom!
The boulder turned into a stone shower as Norrak punched through it. His body lunged at Bumi, and Bumi did the same, stone surrounding his fist and right arm.
Boom!
Norraksmirked at the slight wince as a shockwave blasted the ground under the two open. The stone surrounding Bumi's fist cracked before falling apart, and then Bumi was blasted back, a trickle of blood on his lips.
"A second impact? Not bad! Looks like I am outdone by a young bender again~," Bumi said as he shook his right hand. It felt like his bones were falling apart from the pain.
"Well, we freed you. By the way, spread the word that the avatar, that girl behind you, was the one who freed you," Norrak said as he walked past Bumi, feeling his strength increase.
'14.5 Tons now? My speed also increased, and my Chi grew more potent and even a larger amount,' Norrak thought in pleasure as a heat flew in his body.
It was like a cocaine drug user having sex with a prostitute, only to wake up the next day with the best feeling ever. Then that feeling vanished, replaced by the cold realisation that the guy had an STD and a rash.
