Hearing the knock on the door, Luo Yu instinctively opened his mouth to ask who it was.
But recalling what had just happened, he suddenly felt no curiosity at all about who might be outside. He immediately decided to keep quiet and pretend he was asleep.

"A beauty visiting in the dead of night, and you don't even invite me in to sit for a bit?"
Luo Yu smiled. "You know it's late, don't you? You drank quite a bit today too. Go back and rest. If there's anything, we'll talk tomorrow."
Xue Wu pouted. "I think I just heard Rongrong's voice. Is she inside?"
Her eyes widened in shock. "Don't tell me you and her already—"
"Already what?" Luo Yu said helplessly. He opened his arms to show his neat clothes. "Do I look like something happened?"
Xue Wu looked him over carefully. There really was nothing suspicious. Confusion appeared on her face. "Then why is she here so late?"
Luo Yu spread his hands, half laughing, half exasperated. "How would I know what you girls are thinking? Are you going to let me rest or not?"
"I…"Xue Wu was left speechless.
"Alright."
Luo Yu called toward the room, "Rongrong, come out. Sister Xue Wu is calling you back to sleep together."
There was no response for a long time.
"Rongrong?" Luo Yu frowned. "What's going on?"
Xue Wu thought for a moment, bit her lip, and said, "I'll go check on her."
She walked straight inside.
"Damn this cursed female affinity…"Luo Yu looked up at the ceiling and sighed.
"Yue'er?"
A surprised voice sounded. Luo Yu went over to Xue Wu and saw that Ning Rongrong was nowhere to be found. Only Shui Yue'er was there, sleeping soundly with her small head peeking out from under the covers, as if having a sweet dream.
"Why is it Yue'er? Who's staying in your room?" Xue Wu asked strangely. "I clearly heard Rongrong's voice."
Luo Yu quickly scanned the room. His gaze finally stopped on the blanket—it was noticeably more puffed up than before.
"Come out, Rongrong."Luo Yu patted the blanket.
"I don't want to. It's too embarrassing," came the muffled reply.
Under the covers, Ning Rongrong was hugging Shui Yue'er tightly to make herself as small as possible, burying her face in Yue'er's chest. This ostrich-like behavior didn't save her at all.
Xue Wu was completely stunned.
She had thought everyone else was drunk and asleep, and that she was the only one who would come to see Luo Yu tonight. That was why she'd taken her time, carefully put on light makeup, and even changed into the pretty outfit she had prepared in advance.
"This…"
For a moment, Xue Wu didn't know what to say.

"No!"Xue Wu and Ning Rongrong—who suddenly threw back the covers—shouted in unison.
"Hm?"
"You can stay in my room," the two girls said again at the same time.
They looked at each other.
Ning Rongrong said softly, "I was thinking that opening another room would be a waste. I'll stay here with Yue'er. Brother Yu can go to my room."
"That's what I was thinking too," Xue Wu said, glancing at Ning Rongrong with a look that said I know what you're up to, little girl.
Suddenly, there was another knock on the tightly closed door.
Knock knock knock!
Ning Rongrong looked resentfully toward the door and muttered, "What is going on tonight? Is there treasure in Brother Yu's room? One after another, all coming in the middle of the night."
Xue Wu glared at her. "Weren't you the same?"
Luo Yu rushed over and covered both of their mouths. "You two, stop making noise. Look at this situation already. Don't let another 'auntie' in here. If no one answers, she'll leave."
After a long while, there was no movement outside.
Luo Yu let out a sigh of relief. "We should've done this earlier. Wouldn't have ended up with two more people inside."
"Mm—mm!"Ning Rongrong and Xue Wu were both pressed down on the bed, their mouths still covered by Luo Yu's hand.
