Jian Wei wanted to grill Xiaobao for answers, but with Yu Xi standing nearby, it felt like she had a shield, a backer who would never let her be cornered. Xiaobao was throwing rocks and hiding her hand, her mischief disguised behind a sweet smile. She tilted her head, voice dripping with innocence. "Gege, senior is being mean to me."
Jian Wei froze. "…" That look on her face—anyone would think she was an angel.
Yu Xi glanced between them, his tone calm. "Then ignore him."
"Yes, please ignore me," Jian Wei muttered, already turning to walk away.
But Xiaobao wasn't finished. "Check for the typo!" she shouted after him.
Jian Wei mumbled under his breath, frustration bubbling. "That's sixty pages of work… what freaking typo?" He didn't believe her, but his OCD wouldn't let him ignore it. Even the smallest error gnawed at him, and he knew he'd go through every page to be sure.
Yu Xi sighed. "Will you stop messing with him?"
