Jian Ci sat up slowly, his hair tousled and eyes glazed with the remnants of alcohol. Yu Xi knelt beside him, helping guide his arms through the sleeves of the soft cotton pajamas. It was a clumsy process.
That's because Jian Ci kept swaying, his limbs uncooperative, but eventually, the shirt was on. Yu Xi was quietly relieved that Jian Ci had at least wiped himself down after the bath and didn't wash his hair. If he had washed his hair, the bed would have been soaked.
As Yu Xi reached for the pajama pants, Jian Ci suddenly wrapped his arms around him, pressing his cheek against Yu Xi's shoulder.
"Don't make trouble," Yu Xi muttered, trying to pry him off.
Once dressed, Yu Xi twisted the cap off the hangover drink and handed it over. Jian Ci took a sip and immediately scrunched his face in dramatic disgust.
"What's wrong?" Yu Xi asked.
"It's not sweet," Jian Ci whined.
Yu Xi sighed. "Drink it or I will divorce you."
