Inside the Moon Palace, Emilia sat still in front of the mirror, her cheek resting idly against her hand. The deep-black eyes tinged with violet held a trace of helplessness she could no longer conceal.
"Princess, you sighed again." Helena tilted her head as she observed, her hands still moving swiftly as she fastened the jade hairpin for Emilia. "Today you look… unusually troubled."
Helena used a jade comb to gently smooth the princess's jet-black hair, silently marveling at how soft it felt, like velvet silk.
Emilia let out a soft laugh, a hint of reluctant resignation lingering in her smile.
"I have to meet someone troublesome, someone I cannot avoid. To the point that I would rather sleep for another hour than sit here wearing all these layers of cumbersome clothing."
Helena widened her eyes in curiosity.
