Linnie couldn't believe his eyes. He walked to the edge and slowly peered over.
'She didn't just kill them, did she? That'd be... really bad!'
Goyle was unconscious. Linnie thought he saw a little foam coming from his mouth, but his slight twitching let him know that he was at least alive. Probably.
To the right was Fatty, who was on top of Liora. She—or his blubber—seemed to cushion his fall. He couldn't see her from beneath the stout boy, but assumed from his panicked movements that she was very much alive and kicking.
Linnie looked way and back to the table, where he saw Marielle and the snake-boy fighting fiercly. They were too focused to notice what had just happened.
Surprisingly, their fight was a lot more... refined—compared to the others, it seemed like they were having an actual duel or something. Without swords, of course.
And with a lot more profanity than Linnie assumed fair knights would ever let out during such an epic battle.
The remaining to boys were neither distracted or all that impressive. There wasn't much noticeable about them at all, or any way to distinguish between them, either, nor did Linnie know their names.
So, they were just the boy and the other boy.
They stood in shock, looking at the section of broken railing in disbelief. They, too, worried about the fate of their two companions.
Then they met eyes with Linnie, who looked back at them with a grimace.
'Why am I the only one who has to fight two? And they're way bigger than me!"
He glanced at The Prince with misguided hope. The awkward boy would most certainly not be helping him. In fact, it was almost as if he had melted into his seat.
'I can't use magic in here. Tch, not like I'd ever need it for idiot punks like these...'
"So? You guys gonna do something, or what?" He asked, scratching the inside of his ear.
"You're a wizard, aren't you? I saw your hat... we—we don't want any trouble!" the boy said.
"Y-yeah, we didn't come here for a fight, anyway," the other one said.
The sound of crashing on the table could be heard from behind them, and Linnie quickly looked at the scene.
The snake-boy was on the table, not unlike how Linnie himself had been a few moments earlier, and was getting punched over and over by the angry lady.
'Wow, she's brutal as a—'
As Linnie was looking away, a chair crashed into the top of his head, knocking him to the floor.
'Damn, that's the second time I was caught off guard. Am I an idiot or something!?'
Linnie growled and quickly jumped from off the floor. He felt a little dizzy thanks to the blunt force impact that nearly cracked his head open, but steadied himself against the unbroken section wooden railing.
Before he could collect himself, the boy swung at him. Linnie ducked beneath his fist and lunged into the boy's stomach, wrapping his hands around and trying his hardest to push him to the floor.
There wasn't quite enough force behind his attack, and he was instead left hugging the boy awkwardly.
"I thought you didn't wanna fight?" Linnie asked.
"S-sorry... we don't want to—" The boy started.
"Shut up!" The other boy said.
Linnie, not caring for their arguing, rammed his knee into his groin, finally getting him to collapse on the ground.
He didn't make it into a wrestling match, though, but jumped into the air as high as he could, right above the boy's face. He even tucked his knees into his chest before coming down with as much force as gravity could muster.
Hearing a crunch, Linnie jumped from the boy's face towards the... remaining boy.
"What the hell!?"
"DIE!"
Linnie rotated forwards through the air, grabbing ahold of the boy's shoulders and performing a handstand. He wasn't exactly the acrobat-type, so it wasn't like it held for very long.
Instead, he flipped over to his broad back, making sure to wrap his arms around his neck as he came down.
The force wasn't enough to bring him down to the floor, so Linnie was just dangling in front of the other boy's back, suspended from the floor by his neck.
"I—I can't... breath..." the boy huffed, scratching at Linnie's arms.
Scratching wouldn't do anything, though. It's not like it hurt him. He only tightened his grip, laughing maniacally.
"You dumb bastard, die! DIE! DI—are you seriously dying right now?!" Linnie growled.
The boy started to foam at the mouth and passed out. The first boy was groaning, but wasn't actually out of the fight just yet.
It had taken him a moment to get back up, but now he was snarling at Linnie, ready to draw blood. He broke into a sprint, causing Linnie to shiver a bit.
'Haah... was he always that big?'
"Lin!"
Linnie looked to Marielle, who was standing over the snake-boy's bloodied body. She spartan-kicked her chair, which then slid across the floor and crashed into the back first boy's legs.
He fell to his knees, letting Linnie easily stick him in the face with his foot. And then an extra kick, too, after he fell to the floor.
And it was all over. But it wasn't quiet.
Linnie looked up at Marielle, who was... smiling?
He shook his head and walked over to the railing to see what all the ruckus was about. Liora was standing on a table with the stout boy's unconscious body in her hands, raised high in the air above her.
She was roaring—for whatever reason—as the crowd cheered. She was apparently pretty entertaining. Anyone would be surprised to see a young girl fall from the sky and beat up some fat kid.
The scene caused Linnie to laugh, especially because the lanky boy, Goyle, was being stampeded by the unknowing crowd.
'Serves you right, you creepy, ugly, tall, bastard.'
The celebrations were cut short, though, as four armored guards burst into the building. They were shouting for the patrons to disperse.
"Pretty useful guards, they are, coming after the fight's already over," Linnie said, turning back to Marielle and The Prince.
She laughed, "Forget about them. They were suffocating me, anyway. I know a way out the back, come on!"
'Suffocating? I was thinking the same damn thing! Hold on, did she just laugh? And it wasn't out of spite!?'
"Marielle, I don't think that's a good idea..." The Prince said.
"Oh, just shut up and do as you're told, you baby. Fuck!"
She grabbed him by the arm and dragged him to the stairs. She looked back at Linnie, who was standing there with an interesting expression.
"What are you doing? We've got to go, like, now. Unless you want me to leave you, tch!"
"Yup, I'm coming."
'Hehehe... Alwyn, you don't have to worry. This might not be as difficult as either of us thought it would be!'
Linnie believed he was starting to understand the lady a little more.
