*Present Day*
Kakashi Hatake POV
If anyone else walked into the room at that moment and saw Naruto, they'd definitely think he'd hit his head and suffered permanent damage from the trauma.
Uzumaki had pushed the swivel chair he was in away from the desk and was spinning it side to side while talking nonstop. And when he stopped spinning the chair, he'd rock his body back and forth, with a grin that barely fit on his face.
It wasn't that strange, of course not. Except for the fact that it was a 17-year-old teenager doing it, not a little kid. And on top of that, the celebrated hero of the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Yeah, he looked like a complete idiot.
But a happy idiot.
That joy of his reminded me of Amaya's, all that energy that seemed to light up everyone around and make them feel the same way. And his excitement also reminded me a bit of Shisui. Even the childish behavior is the same..., I thought and gave a soft laugh.
And I couldn't blame him at that moment for being like that: It was the first time he was hearing from someone about his parents, their story, and Amaya's own story. And being Naruto, I didn't expect him to act normal for very long.
He might be one of the strongest ninjas in the world, but he was still Naruto – and I hoped he'd never change that unique way of his that won everyone over.
However, my thoughts were interrupted when a loud, clear growl suddenly echoed through the room and I looked toward the source, or rather, at whose stomach was rumbling. Uzumaki scratched his head, slightly embarrassed, and gave a weak laugh.
– Well, I think we can continue this conversation somewhere else – I said and got to my feet without hurry – Are you done with your part? – I indicated the scrolls on the table near the blonde.
– Yes! – He even brought a hand up to his head in a salute.
– Then let's find a place for you to get something to eat – I moved away from the desk I was at, heading for the door.
Or else Amaya might show up here, even though it's impossible, just to hit me for not taking care of you..., I thought and suppressed a soft laugh at the idea.
In one jump, Uzumaki got to his feet and came over to where I was, eagerly leaving the room as soon as I opened the door and gave him space to pass. I just grabbed the Hokage hat from the nearby stand, letting it hang on my back, and finally left the office.
– Kakashi-sensei... – Naruto started talking again right away – When did otousan and okaasan find out about the situation Shisui created for you and nee-chan with the rings?
– The same day they got engaged – I laughed softly, remembering – I think that was one of the moments I most wanted to hit Shisui, but in the end, someone else ended up doing it for me...

Third Person POV
Taking advantage of where they already were when Minato and Kushina's marriage proposal was made, the older Uzumaki suggested, authoritatively and with no chance of argument, that they all go have lunch at Ichiraku. After all, none of them had really eaten properly since early that morning, busy organizing that plan of her now-fiancé and daughter.
They had barely set foot in the restaurant when Teuchi congratulated the couple. Besides knowing Kushina and Minato since they were younger, he had honored Amaya's and Namikaze's own request for Shisui, Kakashi, Rin, and Obito to use the roof of his establishment earlier.
The seven of them settled next to each other in front of the restaurant counter, and Kushina was the first to start her many questions about how they had organized all that without her knowing.
Kakashi and Amaya were seated on the left side of the counter, where the Hatake could eat in peace. Shisui was next to his sister, and to his right was Kushina. Minato was next to the older Uzumaki, as well as Rin and Obito, respectively.
Minato was the one who started explaining the first part of the plan's organization, where he and Amaya talked to a few people to make it happen:
Inoichi for the flowers, as well as the petals for the proposal moment, Teuchi, Namikaze's Team 7 and Shisui, and also the Sandaime to approve the creation of the fake mission.
The younger Uzumaki also said they had to work on training her and Minato in the Transformation Jutsu so the redhead could maintain it for so many hours straight, as well as change her voice so Kushina wouldn't recognize her.
And everyone gave a little of their own words explaining how they had to rearrange their day's tasks for that moment to happen without worry like Minato's Team 7 training, Shisui's Anbu duties, and Amaya's medical appointment.
– I have to hand it to you, you fooled me good, 'ttebane! – The redhead said when all the ramen bowls had already been served – But I'm still curious to know how this whole idea came about – She pointed her chopsticks at Minato and Amaya.
Namikaze and the younger Uzumaki looked at each other for a moment and chuckled softly.
– It was that day when Amaya and I were talking in her room, she ended up discovering where the rings were kept – The blonde explained calmly, and the younger redhead nodded in agreement before picking up her glass.
(And everything would have remained in perfect peace at that moment, and no more "unnecessary" information would have come out. That is, if Shisui weren't there...)
– It's just a shame that the first proposal made with those rings didn't go through, right, Amaya and Scarecrow-face? – The boy asked in an innocent tone and manner.
The first reactions came from the two who were purposely questioned by the Uchiha: The Uzumaki coughing up the water she was drinking and the Hatake almost choking on his ramen.
And of course, the attention of everyone else turned to the two on the far left of the counter, as if seeking an explanation.
– What? – The question in unison, though in different tones of voice, came from the other four who weren't involved and unaware of that event created by the Uchiha.
Amaya wanted to defend herself but was still coughing a bit from her brother's comment, already feeling her face starting to heat up.
Kakashi wasn't much different, though in his mind he wanted to get up and give a beating or maybe even kill the Uchiha right then, both for the first situation he had put him and Amaya in with the rings, and for that moment.
However, the younger Uzumaki was the one who spoke first and quickly to clarify that misunderstanding, for the second time, to the others. And while she explained everything, Shisui was trying very hard to hold back his laughter.
"Among the responsibilities of a brother are teasing, fighting, nagging, and messing around whenever possible with your siblings."
That specification definitely fit the Uchiha in relation to Amaya.
And his attempt to hold back laughter only lasted until the redhead finished explaining the situation he had put her in with Kakashi. And he laughed. Uncontrollably. So much so that he swore his stomach might split in half from the pain.
Obito laughed along with Shisui, especially imagining the situation and knowing it bothered, even if a little, the always-so-serious Kakashi. Rin felt sorry for Amaya because of it all it was easy to see the embarrassment on the Uzumaki's face.
Minato shook his head weakly in denial at Shisui's immaturity, though he knew it was standard for the Uchiha to always look for something to knock Amaya out of her usual calm, as well as bother Kakashi.
And unlike the Hatake, who only wished to hit Shisui, Kushina did it: A well-aimed punch to the Uchiha's head.
– Ow! – He complained about the pain from the impact of the redhead's fist and looked at her, disconcerted.
– No one takes advantage of my little girl's innocence, 'ttebane! – She looked at Shisui accusingly.
And as he rarely did, the Uchiha swallowed hard, as did the others. Kushina was serious and with an irritated expression toward the boy. She kept her fist raised, clenched.
– Are we clear, or do I need to be clearer? – The older Uzumaki asked slowly, but still angrily.
– Got it, got it... – Shisui said quickly and murmured in a lower voice to Kushina – Sorry...
And this time, it was Amaya and Minato who had to hold back their laughter. Both were already used to that side of the redhead, unlike the three members of Namikaze's team and Shisui himself, who were still a bit scared by Kushina's behavior.
* Present Day*
Naruto Uzumaki POV
I swallowed hard at Kakashi-sensei's narration about okaasan, both from imagining that moment and remembering her being angry when I met her for the first time.
– Okaasan was really scary... – I said and shuddered slightly at that.
– Very – Kakashi-sensei said and I looked at him – However, there was only one time when she was truly so frightening that I still get chills just remembering.
– What?! – I asked, surprised.
Even though I was realizing I knew almost nothing about Kakashi-sensei, my time with him in Team 7 taught me a few things, like how he wasn't afraid of practically anything.
But it seemed there was something involving okaasan that he feared.
– We'll get there, be patient – He said right away – In the meantime, I might as well not think that Minato-sensei and I heard one of Shisui's stupid ideas...
And I couldn't help but laugh. Even though Kakashi-sensei said Shisui's ideas were stupid, I liked them.
– What happened after that? – I asked next, since the sensei wasn't going to tell me now about what happened with okaasan.
– Well... – He stopped talking for a moment, clearly trying to remember what happened – Shortly after, Amaya received clearance from the hospital to return to her activities as a kunoichi. Even though they were more village-oriented than outside, it was good for your sister – He looked at me – And because of that, Shisui ended up inviting her to participate in an all-day training session with him.
– An all-day training session? – I asked, confused – But wasn't Shisui in the Anbu? How could he take the whole day to train with nee-chan?
– It's not the kind of training you're thinking of – Kakashi-sensei explained calmly – It was a training session for some Anbu members, and Shisui was one of them. He could invite up to two people to participate with him.
– So it was you and nee-chan? – I asked, and the sensei shook his head.
– Even though he could choose two people to participate in the training with him, one of them had to be a genin.
– So he chose nee-chan as the person who could be of any rank – I pondered – And the genin... who was it? – I looked at him.
– Weasel-face's best friend.
– Itachi Uchiha... – I said, and he nodded.
– Itachi had become a genin a while back, since like me and Amaya he had more than enough skills to be one, and the Academy thought it best to promote him early.
– And what kind of training was this they did? – I asked excitedly, after all, it was a training for Anbu members.
– It was a three-stage training – Kakashi-sensei soon clarified – But the important thing about this event was the unusual incident that ended up happening in the middle of it.
– An incident? Did someone come after nee-chan again? – He shook his head.
– Not this time. Although it wasn't related to Amaya, it ended up serving as a way for her to get closer to the truth she was seeking about her creators.
