The glowing hand descends toward Kai's stomach—until a deafening bang splits the air.
Shinsu freezes. His head snaps toward the ruins of the dojo. Smoke curls upward like ghostly fingers reaching for the sky.
"Was that… a voice?" he thinks, scanning the wreckage. Nothing. Only silence.
A smirk cuts across his face. "Has me killing again faulted my own ears?" He laughs jokingly and as he was about to land the last blow to Kai a voice hits.
"SHINSUUU!"
The name tears through the clouds like a blade. Shinsu's eyes widen as a vortex of red mana erupts from the rubble, swirling with heat and fury.
"That's impossible," he breathes. "That boy was too weak. But this zenkai… it surpasses Kai's own."
The demon's shock quickly turns into a spark as he thinks of an idea.
He grins, as he looks at Kai. "I guess Im lucky to not kill you now. I could use you for lat-"
A sudden blow to his own torso silences him. "Don't even try" Raikou says, his hand bursting through.
Purple blood splatters across the ground, whilst dripping from Raikou's hand.
The boy stands before him, panting, eyes burning a savage crimson. Raikou eyes widen as he watches Shinsu grovel. This movement irriates him as he grits his teeth.
"I'm not finished!" he roars, vanishing in a blur of red light.
He appears above Shinsu, foot poised to crush the demon's skull—
But before it falls, Shinsu vanishes, reappearing behind the enraged boy.
"That was a good blow" Shinsu says, chuckling as he rests a cursed finger on Raikou's shoulder. "Not even Kai got hit me that hard so please take that compliment to heart"
Raikou gasps. His body locking in place. Frozen.
