Peter POV:
The Collider chamber fell into silence. The storm of colorful arcs burned against the fractured machinery, throwing shadows across the Spider people.
From the lightning, a shape formed. Familiar. Human.
Gwen's breath caught in her throat as the face came into focus.
It was him.
Peter.
The boy she had lost. The friend she had failed. The body she had cradled in her arms the night everything went wrong.
Her knees buckled. For a moment she forgot how to breathe.
"No… it can't be. You... you died."
Peter's eyes opened slowly, dazed, as though waking from a long dream. His voice was rough, barely above a whisper.
"I… don't know how I'm here. But Gwen… I never left you. Not really."
Tears stung her eyes. She staggered toward him, hand trembling, afraid he might vanish again. Then Peter dropped. He's just a regular boy, fragile, alive and this time Gwen didn't fail him. She caught him by the white shirt and pulled him close.
"You don't understand." Her voice cracked. "I held you. I was there when we buried you. My dad… he thinks Spider-Woman killed you. He thinks I killed you. And now... now you're back."
Peter's hand reached for her masked face. His touch was warm. Real.
"Maybe the lightning gave me a second chance or maybe I was never supposed to leave. All I know… is that I'm here now. And I'm not letting go."
Gwen broke. A sob escaped her as she collapsed into his chest. His arms wrapped around her, steady and alive. For the first time since that night, the crushing weight inside her eased.
At a distance, my face darkened. The Dominator cooled in my grip, humming faintly as it powered down.
"Resurrection?" I muttered under my breath. "How is this possible? Her dad believes Spider-Woman killed Peter. How do I tell him the truth without breaking him… without damning her?"
Beside me, Gwendolyn's voice was low. "And what of Uncle Ben? Aunt May? How does Peter walk back into their lives after they've grieved for years?"
My mind was planning, trying but my eyes softening when seeing them interact. "I don't know. But she deserves her miracle."
The chamber grew heavy. The silence was louder than the alarms that had just died down. Gwen clutched Peter's shirt like it might vanish if she let go.
Then the world crashed back in.
A roar thundered through the chamber. Kingpin charged with fury that shook the ground. His fists hammered against steel as his voice bellowed like thunder. "You think you've won? You think you can take everything from me? You think you can have your miracle by denying me mine?"
The Spiders scattered. The moment shattered. Gwen moved quickly, webbing Peter to her back in a cocoon of web strands, shielding him with every ounce of her strength.
Peter's voice trembled against her ear, urgent but steady. "I don't know what tomorrow brings, Gwen. But right now… right now I'm here. And I'll never leave you again."
Gwen wiped her tears, mask snapping back into place. Her grief had become hope and hope had become fire. "Then let's end this."
Side by side. Alive, reunited, unbroken. Gwen and her Peter turned toward the storm.
The battle wasn't finished. But now, Gwen wasn't just throwing punches, she was fighting. Truly fighting. To be the Spider-Woman worthy of her Peter's admiration.
Those who have a problem with Earth -65B's Peter Parker being ressurrected I don't care. I want him alive. Also, I don't like Gwiles because I don't find it very compelling as a relationship, not because Miles is black.
