Hearing his response, Liliana was a bit taken aback. She hadn't expected the boy to react that way—and yet, as rude as his words were, they only made her smile widen even more, amusement flickering in her eyes. It was as if what she heard completely subverted her expectations in the best way possible.
'This human...'Her mesmerizing eyes flashed with a mysterious gleam as she licked her lips. 'He's so intriguing.'
Every single thing about him fascinated her in one way or another. He wasn't like anyone else she had ever met. He wasn't boring. Every conversation they'd had so far felt like a breath of fresh air to the demoness.
The more he talked, the more she was drawn to what he truly was. Something about him compelled her attention—she couldn't look away, afraid of missing a single thing.
