Chapter 139 - KRYPT-Ch.139: Moving Back to Campus

Matthew Atkinson

Oxford, United Kingdom

When Matthew came out of the principal's office, he had a helpless expression on his face.

Because the principal had persuaded him to temporarily move back to the campus.

Matthew tried to argue with the principal.

He made up various reasons, including saying that he liked sunbathing, so he bought a sunbathing machine. If he lived in the dormitory, he wouldn't be able to move it in at all.

Unexpectedly, the principal made a decisive move, granting him the same treatment as Natalie.

Living in an independent house-type dormitory.

The so-called independent house-type dormitories were actually teaching staff lodgings.

They were just like typical houses, with plenty of space.

Even the largest sunbathing equipment could be set up comfortably in that kind of space.

Therefore, Matthew ultimately had no choice but to agree.

Moreover, to avoid any unforeseen complications, the principal asked him to move into the campus dormitory today.

Matthew ate his lunch in the cafeteria at noon, and in the afternoon, he began moving.

...

When Matthew returned to his apartment to pack, he discovered that Ava Owen's room across the hall had her door open.

Inside her apartment, Ava Owen was also packing her things.

"Miss Owen, are you also moving out?" Matthew asked.

"Yes." Ava Owen said with a smile, "I received a new transfer order saying that you plan to move into the campus dormitory, so I don't need to stay here anymore."

"Where will Miss Owen be transferred to?" he asked.

"It might be the Front Lines. I'm not sure, I'll have to go back to headquarters to find out." She said.

Matthew nodded, then said politely, "Thank you for taking care of me during this time, Miss Owen."

Ava Owen smiled and shook her head. "I should be thanking you. Although I've been trapped here for a while, it's been the most relaxed time I've had since joining the Round Table. Not to mention, I even got 20 attribute points as a reward, thanks to you, in this fifth layer of the Supernatural Realm."

After exchanging a few polite words, the two returned to their respective rooms to pack their things.

Although the sunbathing machine was large and heavy, it could be disassembled into several pieces.

As for its weight... with Matthew's current strength, that much weight wasn't anything significant for him.

Not to mention the sunbathing machine that weighs several hundred kilograms, he could even lift a large heavy truck with ease.

Matthew packed what he needed and moved everything in two trips.

As for the apartment, he didn't sell it. He chose to keep it.

When Matthew finished moving and was preparing to tidy up his house-type dormitory, Filip Walker, Sam Harris, and others came knocking on the door.

"Matthew, we heard you moved back to the campus, so we came to check on you."

"Yes, since we were already here to visit you, we thought we'd see if there's anything we can do to help."

Then, these guys all rushed to help Matthew clean and tidy up the dormitory.

Later, Natalie also came over to take a look.

That evening, Matthew treated them to a simple meal in the cafeteria.

After eating, as Matthew was just returning to his dormitory, he received a call from the old man.

"Grandpa? It's so late, aren't you asleep yet?"

"Haha, your grandpa is so happy that he can't sleep."

Hearing the old man's hearty laughter, Matthew immediately knew his eldest cousin must have told him about what had happened today.

"Grandpa, no matter how happy you are, you must rest early. You must take care of your health so you can watch me grow up. In the future, I will bring the Atkinson family to unprecedented heights. You must witness this day with your own eyes."

These words made the old man very happy.

"Okay, okay, grandpa will listen to you. I'm going to sleep now. My dear grandson, work hard. If you need anything, just tell me."

"I will."

Matthew hung up the phone and noticed that Denis Read had sent him a message a few minutes earlier, reminding him that someone had put a bounty on him on the dark web, which had exceeded 100 million US dollars.

Matthew was not surprised to see this message.

The chubby principal had told him that his performance today would definitely attract the attention of those who were interested.

It was normal for bounty notices to appear.

Matthew opened the internet browser.

The news of their victory has naturally spread across the entire internet.

Furthermore, Matthew's online image has also changed significantly.

"I heard that the University of Oxford's team was able to win the championship this time entirely thanks to Matthew Atkinson's performance?"

"Yes, the news has spread."

"It is said that Matthew Atkinson has a special talent in the supernatural realm, with amazing insight, and can discover crises that ordinary people cannot."

"I also heard that Matthew Atkinson played a significant role in Natalie Russell's ability to achieve SSS-grade mission ratings consistently."

"So, he's not some gigolo who lives off a woman at all."

"Heh, where did all these online trolls come from, trying to whitewash the Atkinson family? Looks like the Atkinson family is quite wealthy."

"Damn it, those are the paid trolls. Are they blind or brain-dead? Don't they know how to read the official reports?"

"What do you know? This Matthew is The Matthew. Matthew Atkinson. The author of the Harry Potter books. Of course, he can't possibly live off someone else. And even a child could tell, by looking at his work, that his mind works differently than everyone else's."

"What? Is this the author of the Harry Potter books? No wonder. Then it's perfectly normal that he achieved these successes."

"Anyone who speaks ill of Matthew Atkinson will find me standing against them. He's one of the modern faces of English literature. I think he should retire after finishing his ten mandatory layers and focus on literature. England cannot afford to lose someone like him."

"That's right, whoever goes against Matthew Atkinson goes against us."

Regarding the news on the internet, Matthew only glanced at it twice before stopping.

Every time the Supernatural Realm ended, he and Natalie would inevitably trend on social media.

At first, it was novel, but after a while, it got boring...

Well... this time, Harry Potter fans had realized he was the author and gotten involved. And that had put a stop to many internet trolls.

But Matthew still had no intention of focusing on people's keyboard battles.

...

Time flew, and in the blink of an eye, another month had passed.

Since Matthew and Natalie stayed on campus this month and didn't go out, nothing interesting happened.

Today was November 1st.

In the early morning, Matthew opened his eyes and emerged from the sunbathing machine.

.........

Race: Human

Trait: Ageless

Constitution: 1940 (↑310)

Mental: 566 (↑93)

Strength: 1940 (↑310)

Agility: 1940 (↑310)

Ability: Kryptonian Bloodline [Steel Body (3), Super Strength (3)]

Skills: [Fist/Galaxy Impact], [Haki (Master --> Legend)]

Attribute Points: 345 (↑355/↓800)

.........

Including the championship reward from the fifth layer of the Supernatural Realm, Matthew already had 1145 expendable attribute points.

However, during this period, he used 800 attribute points to raise his Haki level to the Legend level.

It had to be said.

Legend-level Haki was truly something else.

With the elevation of his Armament Haki to Legend level, in addition to increased defensive and offensive power, he could now also use his Armament Haki for Emission attacks.

Emission allowed his Haki to leave his body, albeit only to a limited extent. If he performed an explosive Emission attack, it provided a repelling effect.

With the attainment of Legend level in his Observation Haki, his senses were further strengthened, and he could now sense the emotions of others.

And with the attainment of Legend level in his Conqueror's Haki, his mental attacks were enhanced, and he gained the Observation Killing ability.

This allowed him to evade the vision and senses of other supernatural beings with Observation Haki skills or strong mental attributes.

These skills and abilities were ineffective on him unless they possessed a higher level of power. Matthew was now like a ghost plane to many people's senses.

When Matthew tried to calculate his current strength numerically, he found that his defense was now equivalent to someone with 29,973 Constitution attribute points, along with Steel Body, Armament Haki, and Battle Suit.

His physical attack power, with Super Strength, Armament Haki, and Battle Suit, was equal to 20,661 Strength attribute points.

His speed was currently one of his weakest powers, and with the effect of the Battle Suit, it was equal to 2,231 Agility attribute points.

On the other hand, his perception and senses based on his mental power were equal to 5178 Mental attribute points thanks to Observation Haki and Battle Suit. This was probably twice as much as Natalie's current perception of power.

And his mental attack power based on the Incapacitation skill was equal to 1782 Mental attribute points, thanks to Conqueror's Haki and Battle Suit.

Matthew could instantly neutralize all freshmen using only Conqueror's Haki. And freshmen with low mental power could even die if Matthew used all his mental power.
