DON'T CRY 😭😭😔😔
THEME: A STORY THAT TALKS ABOUT HER HIDDEN DARKNESS 🕳️🕳️
CHAPTER 19&20
Cathy POV
"What's the meaning of this, Jude?" I asked, my voice trembling between anger and fear. My eyes darted around the strange room — the thick velvet curtains, the locked steel door, the faint scent of cigarettes mixed with expensive cologne — everything screamed danger.
"My love," Jude began, his voice smooth but laced with madness, "I carried you and your children… or should I say our children… from the hands of that monster." His grin widened, the kind that could freeze blood.
"What are you saying?" I snapped, trying to mask the terror in my chest. "So you kidnapped me and my children — and now you're here saying nonsense? What's the meaning of this, Jude?!" My voice rose in anger, but he didn't flinch.
He only chuckled darkly and took a slow step toward me, his eyes gleaming with twisted satisfaction. "Don't worry, my love. You'll soon understand everything. And—" he paused, brushing his fingers through his dark hair, "—in the next two days, we're going to be wedded couples."
"What?" I screamed, my whole body shaking. "Are you out of your mind?" I ran toward him, my hand raised to slap that smirk off his face — but before I could touch him, two hefty guards grabbed me by the arms and shoved me back. One of them even slapped me across the face, hard enough to send me crashing to the floor.
"Get your filthy hands off her!" Luna shouted, rushing to me, but I quickly pulled her close, holding her tight. Jude watched, unbothered, as if he was enjoying every second of my pain.
After all the chaos, he turned to the guards. " let's Leave ," he ordered coldly. The men bowed slightly and walked out, locking the door behind us.
Silence filled the room, except for Luna's quiet sobs and the soft rustling of the curtain in the wind.
"Mom, what's going on here?" Luna whispered, her small hands clutching mine. "I'm… I'm scared." Her voice broke, and the sight of tears in her eyes shattered my heart.
I stroked her hair gently and tried to steady my own trembling voice. "It's not the time to cry, my love," I whispered. "We'll find a way out of here. I promise."
My mind was spinning — my heart beating so fast I thought it would burst out of my chest. I had no idea where we were, but one thing was clear: Jude wasn't the same person I once knew. There was something darker in him now, something cold and merciless.
I turned to Lucas and Luna, both sitting on the small bed, their faces pale and frightened. I knelt before them, forcing a smile through the tears that burned behind my eyes.
"My loves," I said softly, cupping their cheeks, "you both know you are the most precious thing in my life. No matter what happens, I need you to be strong for me. Please, don't lose hope."
Luna nodded weakly while Lucas tried to act brave, though I could see the fear flickering in his eyes.
As I hugged them tightly, I silently vowed — no matter what it takes, I'll protect them. I'll escape this nightmare. Jude will never win.
"Okay Luna, are you still with your hair pin?" Lucas asked in a low whisper, his voice trembling but brave.
"Yes, bro," Luna replied, pulling it out from her tangled hair. Even in that moment of fear, she tried to smile, though her lips quivered.
"Okay then… hand it over." Lucas's eyes flickered with determination — the same eyes that reminded me of Jasper. Luna quickly gave him the pin, and without wasting a second, Lucas knelt beside the locked door. His small fingers worked carefully, his brows furrowed in concentration. I could see the faint glimmer of sweat on his forehead, the room dimly lit by the moonlight seeping through the small window.
"Be careful, son," I whispered, my heart pounding. "Don't make any noise."
"I'll get us out, Mom," he muttered softly. "I promise."
Minutes passed like hours. The clicking sound of the pin echoed softly, and then— click! —the lock finally turned. Lucas looked up at me, eyes wide with disbelief and excitement.
"I did it!" he whispered breathlessly.
I grabbed both of them into a quick hug, tears welling up in my eyes. "You're so brave, Lucas. Both of you are."
He peeked through the door carefully, scanning the hallway. No footsteps. No voices. Just silence. He motioned for us to follow. My hands were shaking as we tiptoed out, holding each other tightly. Every shadow on the wall felt alive, every small creak in the wooden floor sounded like thunder.
We made it to the balcony, and that's when my heart sank — we were completely surrounded by water. The moon's reflection rippled across the dark, endless ocean. There was nowhere to run.
"Oh my God…" I whispered, clutching my chest. "We're trapped on an island."
Before I could say another word, Luna quietly pulled something from her pocket — her phone.
"Luna! How did you—"
"I hid it when we were taken," she said quickly, typing on it with shaking hands. "I turned on the location tracker. I just sent Daddy a message."
My heart swelled with a mixture of pride and fear. "Good girl… good girl," I whispered, kissing her forehead.
She hit send on the message, the screen glowing faintly. Jasper would see it — he had to.
We started moving toward the back, hoping to find a boat, a hidden path, something. But before we could take another step—
"Well, well, well… look who's trying to escape."
That voice. Cold, sharp, and venomous. My entire body froze. I turned slowly — and there she was.
A woman stepped out of the shadows, dressed in a fitted silk gown that shimmered in the dim light. Her face looked familiar yet hauntingly different. Standing beside her was Jude, smirking as if he owned the world.
"Guards!" she snapped. "Get her!"
Before I could react, two large men rushed forward, grabbing my arms so tightly I could barely breathe. Luna screamed, trying to pull them off me, and Lucas punched one of the guards, but it was useless. They were too strong.
"Let her go! Please!" I cried, struggling with everything I had. "Don't touch my children!"
The woman only laughed — a soft, chilling laugh that made my blood run cold.
"Do you remember me, Cathy?" she asked, stepping closer. Her voice… oh, that voice. I knew it. The tone, the arrogance — it was burned into my memory.
I blinked hard, staring at her more closely. Her face looked younger, too perfect, almost artificial. Then it hit me.
"Cecilia…" I whispered, my whole body trembling.
She smiled, twisting a strand of her newly dyed hair between her fingers. "Yes, it's me. Are you surprised to see such a beautiful woman?" she taunted, laughing softly. "You didn't think I'd let you and Jasper live happily ever after, did you?"
Tears filled my eyes, but anger burned stronger. "You're a monster, Cecilia! You'll never win! Jasper will find us — and when he does—"
"Oh please," she interrupted with a smirk, signaling the guards to drag me away. "Save the love speech for someone who cares."
I struggled as they pulled me back, my children screaming my name, their voices echoing painfully in my chest. "Luna! Lucas! Don't be afraid! I'll come back for you!"
But all Cecilia did was laugh — that same cruel, heartless laugh that once destroyed my life.
And as the heavy door slammed shut behind me, the only thing echoing in my ears was her final, venomous whisper —
"Welcome back home, darling."
Then she leaned closer to my ear, her perfume choking me as she continued, her voice turning cold and venomous.
"This time," she hissed, "you won't be the one
Jasper POV
I had been searching for Cathy and the children for more than a day when Luna's message finally came through — a pin dropped somewhere in the ocean. My hands shook as I drove to the coordinates, stomach knotting with every mile. When I reached the shoreline the world felt wrong: the tide had pulled something strange and terrible up onto the sand. Luna's phone lay there, half-buried and slick with blood and salt, its screen cracked but still showing the tiny blue dot she had sent. I knelt down and lifted it like a relic. The sight of it lodged in the belly of a shark made bile rise in my throat. For a moment I couldn't breathe. I pressed the phone to my ear as if doing so might bring her voice back to life.
Beyond the wrecked tide, the horizon opened onto a house perched on a spit of rock — stubborn, immovable, lit against the grey. With binoculars I watched the place carefully. Guards moved in slow, deliberate patterns; boats circled like sharks at the mouth of a cave. Someone had strung flowers along the balcony and draped ribbons across the entry, as if to decorate a wedding, and that image stabbed me harder than any threat. It was obscene: celebration in the middle of trap and cruelty. My throat tightened. The sane part of me listed possibilities — a private event, a government compound, a decoy — but the only thought that mattered was Cathy's face, and how small she must have felt against those walls.
Adrenaline replaced the numbness. I couldn't wait for permission or proof; hesitation would cost them everything. I thumbed James' number with fingers that wouldn't stop trembling. "Get a team together. Air insertion, immediate," I said when he picked up, my voice a low controlled snap. "Helicopters, medics, full tactical. Bring everyone you can trust. Meet me at the south cove in twenty." There was a pause, then the familiar certainty in James' voice — the kind of steady answer I needed. "On it, sir."
I watched the house until the sky began to bruise with evening. Every flower on that balcony burned in my vision like a countdown. I replayed Luna's last mapped location over and over, trying to read a pattern into salt and wind. I thought of Cathy's hands, of Lucas and Luna huddled together, and of the note folded into my life: You will lose everything. Jude's handwriting haunted the memory of that promise. Rage flared, hard and cold, but beneath it was a raw, urgent tenderness that pushed me forward — a tenderness that refused to let fear make a decision for me. I slid the cracked phone into my pocket, straightened my shoulders, and waited for James. We would not give them another hour.
At Evening
Cathy POV
"Hey, wake up and freshen up, because today will be the best day of your life." Cecilia's voice pierced through the silence like a dagger. Before I could even raise my head, she struck me hard across the face, her palm echoing sharply against my skin. My vision blurred for a moment as I struggled to get up, my body trembling from exhaustion and fear.
As I slowly stood, my heart skipped when I noticed something was terribly wrong — Luna and Lucas were gone. Their small beds were empty, their blankets cold. Panic surged through me like wildfire.
"Where are my kids?!" I yelled, my voice shaking with fury and fear.
Cecilia folded her arms, that devilish smirk painted across her face. "Don't worry, darling," she said mockingly. "They're already waiting for you at the wedding ground. So be a good bride and get dressed."
She rolled her eyes dramatically and walked out, slamming the door behind her. I stood frozen, my knees weak, my chest tightening with panic. Wedding ground? The words echoed in my head like a curse.
I turned to the mirror, and the reflection staring back at me was someone I barely recognized — pale skin, swollen eyes, lips trembling. I looked like a ghost of myself. My gaze fell on the wedding gown laid neatly on the chair beside me — a cruel joke of purity and beauty.
Tears welled up in my eyes. "I thought weddings were supposed to be the happiest day of a woman's life," I whispered bitterly. "Why is mine turning into my worst nightmare?"
I sank to the floor, my heart breaking into pieces. "Jasper… where are you?" I murmured through tears, clutching my chest. "Please, save me."
I didn't know how long I stayed there before I finally stood up, my body heavy with fear. I freshened up quietly, each movement slow and trembling. The white dress felt cold against my skin, its beauty mocking my pain. As I looked into the mirror one last time, I made a silent promise to myself — if I ever made it out alive, I would never allow fear to own me again.

At the Wedding Ground
The air was filled with the scent of roses, but it only made me sick. The entire place was decorated beautifully — white drapes, golden lights, soft music playing — but all I could feel was dread.
As I walked down the aisle, my heart pounded painfully in my chest. Every step felt heavier than the last, each one dragging me closer to the man who destroyed everything I ever loved. Jude stood at the altar, smiling confidently, his eyes full of madness and pride — as if I was a prize he'd fought hard to win.
My hands shook as I clutched the bouquet Cecilia had forced on me. My vision blurred with tears, but then I froze — my breath caught in my throat.
Lucas stood beside Jude as the best man, wearing a small suit, looking pale and confused. Luna stood beside me, dressed as my chief bridesmaid, her eyes red and watery. Seeing my children used as part of this wicked charade tore something deep inside me.
"Say your vows," the priest instructed gently.
I stared blankly, unable to speak. "I… I can't," I whispered.
Jude's smile faded, and his jaw tightened. He turned to one of his guards and nodded. The man stepped forward, his hand raised. Before I could react, a sharp sting exploded across my cheek — he had slapped me.
Gasps filled the room. Luna screamed, and Lucas stepped forward, but another guard blocked him.
"Say it, or your children will pay," Jude hissed coldly, his voice low but deadly.
I trembled. My tears fell uncontrollably as I looked at my children's terrified faces. My lips quivered, but I forced the words out, each one tasting like poison. "I… I take you, Jude… to be my husband."
Jude grinned again, proud of his victory. The priest nodded nervously and lifted his book. My heart beat so fast I could barely breathe.
"I therefore pronounce you husband and—"
Before the priest could finish, the sound of a deep, commanding voice thundered through the hall.
"How dare you!"
The entire room froze. The guards turned in confusion. My heart stopped. That voice — strong, angry, and familiar — it was a voice I could recognize even in death.
I turned sharply, and there he was — Jasper.
