Chapter 7 - Farm and Core

Wow, just wow.

I really entered a separate dimension.

As the skill description said, there are five empty plots here. In addition to that, there seemed to be a building, probably like a barn, at the end of the farm land.

Let's see what it is.

I entered the barn, and it was quite empty, but a new prompt appeared in front of my eyes.

[Farm Warehouse, used to store the produce only from the Heavenly Farm.]

Hmm, a warehouse to store the produce, that's wonderful. So, I can store everything I produce here. Wait a second, it said produce from Heavenly Farm. So, I can't store if I produce anything outside, but this is more than enough.

I can save a lot of space.

I can store the produce, and instead of wasting time on produce to be consumed, I can plant the next rotation of crops.

I mean, if there was no place to store the produce, how could I start the next crop planting?

Now, with this warehouse, such a problem was averted.

Now that the problem was averted, let's not waste any time and plant the seeds. I brought common vegetable seeds, as well as seeds for herbs. I need to see what the difference is between here and outside.

If it were better here, I would need to plant only the best ones, which are more pricey. Selling them would yield a substantial amount of coins in a short time.

If the crops here tend to be better and with my Heavenly Rain skill, I can reduce their time before they mature, I can... wait a second...damn it. I forgot about that.

Usually, Skills or Spells need Mana to operate.

The Heavenly Farm skill didn't take any mana from me, and I forgot that I have no Mana unless I create the Mana Core first.

Without Mana Core, there would be no Mana, and without it, I shouldn't be able to cast any skills.

The first one worked. How, I have no idea, but that doesn't mean it would work for the second one, too.

Let's check first.

[Heavenly Rain]

Nothing. Nothing was happening.

I don't know why Heavenly Farm skill worked, but this is how it was supposed to be. Mana is required for casting skills or spells.

Well, even though I don't know why it was working, it means I can save Mana whenever I want to enter the Farm.

It was a dream of every awakened out there. I may not know much about this world, but one thing I learned from reading fantasy novels is that everyone would like to improve their strength.

They want more of what they have, and when it comes to consumption, the less the better.

It was not just true for Magic worlds, but also on Earth.

There are terms to define this. Efficiency. Optimization.

People would want to make the best use of the resources that they have. No one wants to spend more if there is an alternative that costs much less.

So, I am happy for this, but now I need to form a Mana Core before returning here to plant the seeds. Let's exit...hmm. How to do that?

I willed again, just as I did to enter. I mean, there were no instructions on how to exit the Farm. So, there could be only a few obvious ways to do that. The first option would be to cast the skill again.

[Heavenly Farm]

Luckily, it worked. I didn't need to think of other ways to leave this place.

A green portal appeared as it did in my room. I entered the portal, and the next second, I reappeared in my room.

---

Now, the first thing to do was to form Mana Core.

Everyone forgot about that, not just me. Well, who can blame any one of us? While checking such a new Class, powerful Talent and skills, who would remember everything as they should have?

Everyone was so focused on cooking when they saw my talent, which would bring numerous benefits, and it depended on cooking. So, everyone was concentrated on that and forgot about my core.

I don't know if the talent would have worked without a Mana Core.

Well, no need to test it. I can form the core now, before Mom returns to make lunch for noon. Father would return too, much later, when the food was ready to be consumed.

My sis, that's a different scenario. If she accepted a mission, returning depends on the mission itself. If it were a simple mission, she could return for lunch; if not, she would return before dark.

I don't think she would take a mission that would require her to wait until dark, given the current circumstances.

She is not known for her patience. I am sure she would be back before lunch.

Anyway, now, I should concentrate on forming a core, and it is said to be not easy to do so.

---

I went to the chest that was residing in the corner and opened it. In that, there was a book. This is what I need now.

The book contains the method for forming a Mana Core, and this is the common version available everywhere.

Yes, everyone in this kingdom is familiar with this version and has a copy of it. There are better versions, but it was said that only Nobles and Royal Families have access to such materials.

If it were a typical MC in my position, they would be fuming over the inequalities, but I am not cursing anyone.

Those materials are something that their ancestors worked to gain. The descendants are enjoying their labour. So, who are we to blame them?

I would have cursed them if they had banned commoners from forming Mana Cores and from gaining strength. That was everyone's right. No one should treat others in that manner.

I don't care if the Nobles don't share their treasures with others, but they shouldn't block others from getting their hands on treasures. That's my bottom line.

Anyway, let's form the Mana Core now. Everything else can wait for now.
