Chapter 309 - Chapter 309: Thor Reappears, Invincible Shura!

The great god Shura run.

Even the dullest minds realized danger was imminent, and panic broke out as people rushed to escape.

Boom—!

The thunder of heavy footsteps echoed, each step drawing closer, pounding in their ears.

Seconds later, the building shook violently, as if struck by a mountain.

A colossal foot, larger than a hill, descended from the sky and crushed the entire structure beneath it!

That single stomp seemed to blot out the heavens, casting everything into shadow.

No one dared imagine how immense the body of the creature must be.

Boom—!

The seven-story hotel collapsed under the monster's foot.

Though many had fled, countless others were buried beneath the rubble. Their fates were sealed in an instant.

Those who escaped turned back in horror.

"This… this…"

"Monster! A monster!"

"Help us!!"

Towering above them was an abomination, more than fifty meters tall. Humans were like ants before it.

But its size wasn't what chilled the blood.

Its body was a nightmare of impossible anatomy—no head, limbs disconnected yet held together by unseen force. And at the center of its torso was a massive, glaring eye.

The entire monster was an eyeball.

Now, that terrible eye swept across the survivors.

Fenric's expression hardened.

The suffocating aura of death told him clearly: this monster was deadly beyond reason.

Yet, something about it stirred recognition within him.

Could it be? A dungeon beast summoned into the real world?

"Yuhan," Fenric said quietly, "if things turn bad, run."

He dismissed the Empyrean Divine Sword and summoned Thor's Hammer instead. Against a foe this massive, wide-range destruction was needed—subtlety would be useless.

"Shura, what is this thing…?" Yuhan asked, her voice trembling.

"No time for answers. In just over an hour, the Samsara space will reopen. We only need to survive until then."

Her delicate face grew tense, and she nodded firmly. "Don't worry, Shura. I'll protect myself."

"Good."

Fenric strode toward the monster, determination blazing. He had to test its strength, even if it meant risking everything.

From the crowd, voices cried out:

"Great God Shura, be careful!"

"My classmates didn't make it out—please save them!"

"Fenric, come on!"

Fatty Jitto edged closer and whispered, "Ric… are you sure about this?"

"I'll only know once I try."

"Listen," Jitto said gravely, "everyone's counting on you. But if you can't win, protect yourself first. Save who you can, but don't throw your life away. If you fall, we all die."

Fenric clasped his friend's shoulder and nodded. Then, raising his voice, he ordered:

"Everyone, fall back!"

"Great God Shura, please be careful!"

The survivors scattered, retreating as fast as they could.

The monster's lone eye suddenly flared, shifting from pale red to a furious crimson.

In the next instant, a torrent of flames erupted from its pupil, surging forward like a burning tsunami.

The heat alone made it hard to breathe.

Screams filled the air as people fled in terror.

Fenric's face tightened. He raised both hands, releasing his mind power, and conjured a vast invisible barrier. The fiery deluge crashed against it, sparks scattering.

But the flames were overwhelming.

In mere moments, the barrier buckled. With a sharp grunt, Fenric leapt aside, narrowly evading the inferno.

Still, his sacrifice bought precious time. Not a single life was lost in that wave of fire.

Without him, half the crowd would have been reduced to ash.

The monster's eye narrowed in fury.

Boom—!

It raised its foot to continue the slaughter—

But suddenly, the sky darkened.

Black clouds rolled overhead, rumbling with thunder.

The creature froze, a flicker of fear in its gaze.

Lightning. The eternal bane of evil creatures.

And yet… this was the hell barrier. How could thunder form here?

Boom—!

A lightning bolt crashed down—but it did not strike the monster.

It struck Fenric.

Hovering in the air, Fenric was wreathed in countless arcs of lightning. Sparks crackled across his body as Thor's Hammer glowed with divine might.

He looked like the god of thunder incarnate.

"Look! Shura's using Thor's Hammer!"

"Holy crap, that's amazing!"

"This monster must be insane if Shura's revealing his true power!"

"Is this really the same Fenric from our class?"

"Don't just stare—keep running! He's buying us time!"

High above, the monster glared at Fenric, its giant hand slicing through the air to seize him.

Boom—!

A bolt of lightning speared downward, striking the monster's hand.

But Fenric's eyes widened—its flesh was immune.

He dropped back to the ground, shifting tactics. His gaze locked onto the massive eye.

Raising Thor's Hammer high, he unleashed a devastating strike.

Boom—!

A dragon of lightning surged forth, faster than light, slamming into the monster's eye.

The world lit up in a blinding explosion as a storm of electricity engulfed the creature's core.

"ROOOOAAARR!!"

The monster's howl split the air before its colossal body collapsed.

Boom—!!

The impact shattered the ground, its limbs scattering as if torn apart.

It seemed utterly destroyed.

Cheers erupted from the survivors. Relief swept through the crowd.

But Fenric's face remained grim.

Because the aura of death hadn't faded.

Something even more dangerous was still coming.
