Fenric was completely speechless.
All around him, students were whispering and speculating that Yuhan was in some sort of relationship with him—even suggesting that she was being kept by him.
How was he supposed to explain that he was completely innocent?
Forget it.
There was no point arguing with a bunch of gossipy students.
Shaking his head, Fenric pulled out his phone and began browsing the internet. He wanted to search for information related to the next-level dungeon.
Online, the forums were once again buzzing about his alter ego—"Shura."
However, this time, the screen was flooded not just with awe, but also with gossip and drama.
"Last night, the God of Shura once again received an SSS Super-God rating. Boss, you're insane!"
"Of course Shura's amazing, but what's the deal with this Belle Morwyn? How'd she get such a high score?"
"You even need to ask? They cleared the same dungeon. She clearly just coasted on Shura's efforts!"
"Wait, this is the first time Shura's brought someone with him, right? What's Belle Morwyn's background?"
"Morwyn... do I even need to spell it out? Her sister's ranked in the top 100!"
"Typical nepotism."
"Heh, I heard Belle Morwyn is gorgeous and hailed as a genius. Maybe there were other reasons why the boss brought her along~"
"Quit with the sarcasm. If you were beautiful too, maybe you could cling to Shura's thigh! You think he'd even look at you?"
"I don't envy Belle Morwyn. I envy Shura!"
"Tch. Geniuses can do whatever they want, huh?"
"Belle Morwyn? Please, I'm way prettier. Lord Shura, if you're reading this, DM me! I'm cute and talented. Also, my tongue game is strong~ ❤️"
"Hey girl, what's the price for your 'night package'?"
"Go to hell, you disgusting pig!!"
The flood of comments left Fenric utterly speechless.
For the first time, he truly understood how innocent celebrities must've felt in his past life.
He and Belle Morwyn had done nothing wrong, yet people were shamelessly speculating and pairing them together. Even if he jumped into the Yellow River, he couldn't wash this off.
As the saying went: "The tongues of men can melt gold, and slander ruins reputations."
Still, Fenric didn't care.
Let them talk. He wasn't some fame-hungry internet star who lived off views and traffic.
He lived off power.
Strength was the only thing that mattered.
Closing the comments section, Fenric navigated to the Samsara Forum and entered the Strategy Zone.
He was looking for information about the Fifth Stage of the Samsara Tower.
Tonight, he planned to enter a new dungeon again.
Ever since Aurora warned him that in September, a massive compulsory dungeon—PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds—would begin, and many planned to ambush him during it, Fenric had resolved to become stronger as quickly as possible.
It was only mid-June now. There were still two and a half months left until September.
Fenric was confident that he could grow exponentially stronger before then.
Ambush me?
Let's see who's hunting who.
While searching the strategy section, Fenric was surprised to find that the Fifth Stage of the Samsara Tower only had one available dungeon.
It wasn't a massive fantasy world like One Piece.
Instead, it was labeled as a Novice Assessment Copy.
Its name: "2012".
Fenric's pupils shrank slightly when he saw it.
2012?
If memory served, that was a disaster film about the end of the world.
In that movie's world, based on a Mayan prophecy, December 21st, 2012, marked doomsday—the end of the Mayan calendar, with no dates beyond.
When that day came, the Earth was devastated by catastrophic natural disasters: massive earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis that submerged continents. Civilization collapsed. The world ended.
Recalling all this, Fenric's expression grew grim.
If the Fifth Stage dungeon was really based on 2012, how the hell were Samsara players supposed to survive? Anyone who entered would die!
Only he knew the movie's plot—and more importantly, the location of humanity's last hope.
Fenric frowned.
Surely the Samsara System wouldn't throw players into such a hopeless scenario so soon?
If it did, how did those top 100 experts even make it?
With this question in mind, he clicked on the official dungeon guide.
"There is only one dungeon on the Fifth Stage of the Samsara Tower: '2012.'"
"Surprised by the name? You should be. Because this dungeon is absolutely terrifying!"
"This floor is also known as the 'Novice Assessment Dungeon.' Once you clear it, you'll no longer be considered a novice in the Samsara Space."
"I'm the editor writing this, and I've personally experienced it. I can tell you with absolute certainty: this is a disaster-level dungeon."
"The main theme of the copy? The apocalypse."
"That's right. The end of the world. Global annihilation."
"Of course, the Samsara Space doesn't want everyone to die. While the dungeon itself is horrifying, the mission objectives are fairly straightforward—if you're well-prepared, passing it isn't too difficult. The real challenge lies in getting a high rating."
"The main objective is simple: survive."
"Task scoring works as follows:"
Survive 1 day = E rating
Survive 2 days = D rating
Survive 4 days = C rating
Survive 8 days = B rating
Survive 16 days = A rating
Survive 32 days = S rating
"In short, the longer you live, the higher your evaluation."
"But beware—this dungeon features constant mega-earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions. In the face of nature's fury, humans are incredibly small and fragile."
"Pro tip: form a party before entering."
"This is the only dungeon in the Samsara Tower where ally rewards are not shared—meaning, everyone in the alliance gets full rewards independently."
"So don't be a lone wolf. Grab a few reliable teammates, and survive together."
"Remember: There's a strength in numbers!"
