Chapter 143 - Chapter 143: Massacre of the Million Symbiote Army

Fenric blew a piercing whistle—shrill and high-decibel.

A sound that was the bane of all symbiotes.

Suddenly, the massive body of Riot began to tremble violently. It let out an agonized roar, unable to maintain its form. Within moments, its body split apart, revealing the host—Drake—inside.

"You have used the Enchanted Whistle."

"Reminder: The Enchanted Whistle is a one-time-use item. Its magic effect will expire in ten days."

Fenric remained expressionless as the system prompt echoed in his mind.

As the symbiote Riot could no longer hold on and withdrew from Drake's body, Fenric stopped whistling.

"How's that, Riot? Can you endure it?" Fenric asked with a smirk.

The Riot symbiote had already retreated deep into Drake's body, too afraid to show itself. For now, Drake was in full control.

Drake was drenched in sweat, panting heavily, half-kneeling on the ground, looking utterly drained. He looked up at Fenric, dazed.

"Ronan... there's no clause in the contract about the employer getting hurt," he said weakly.

Fenric didn't bother replying. Instead, he drew a flamethrower and aimed it coldly at Drake's face.

"Riot, I'll say this one more time: Call your kind here. Now. Or I'll burn you to death."

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Flames burst from the nozzle.

Like sound, fire was also a fatal weakness of the symbiotes.

Seeing this, Drake quickly raised his hands. "Alright, alright! Calm down, man—I'll do it, okay?!"

Symbiotes had no real unity.

Even Riot had its own agenda—willing to sacrifice its kind as cannon fodder, using sheer numbers to eliminate Fenric.

With no other choice, Drake transformed back into Riot, walked to the spacecraft's exit (Number 540), and let out an ear-splitting roar to the sky.

"ROOAAARR!!"

The howl shook the heavens.

The sound carried far, echoing through the wild expanse.

Moments later, dark clouds of slime began forming on the distant horizon, converging on the spacecraft.

Densely packed. Endless.

Seeing this, Fenric shouted, "Belle! Are you ready?!"

"Ready, Great God!" Belle Morwyn replied, her voice trembling with excitement and nervousness.

Her heart was pounding as she watched the swarms of symbiotes flood in from every direction.

As expected—following the boss really does bring rewards!

"Fire at will!"

At Fenric's command, Belle immediately hit the launch switch.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Over a dozen missiles shot out in an instant.

There was no need to aim.

With Riot's summons, the symbiotes were flooding in uncontrollably, blanketing the ground.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosions roared, and system notifications flooded Belle's mind.

"You have killed a symbiote. Main mission completed."

"You may return to the Samsara Space or remain in this world."

"Note: Maximum stay time is 30 days."

"You killed a symbiote. Current mission progress: 2/1."

"You killed a symbiote. Current mission progress: 3/1."

"You killed a symbiote. Current mission progress: 4/1."

"You killed a symbiote. Current mission progress: 4837/1."

After the first wave of missiles, Belle Morwyn's mission progress had skyrocketed—she had killed 4,837 symbiotes in seconds!

"Great God... this...!" she stammered, overwhelmed with joy.

Fenric barked, "Stop gawking! Keep firing!"

Snapped back to her senses, Belle nodded vigorously, reloaded, and launched another barrage.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

"You killed a symbiote. Current progress: 12,219/1."

This harvest was even greater than the last.

The symbiote army was still growing.

In the original story, Riot claimed to have a million-strong army—and it wasn't an exaggeration!

Although Belle Morwyn's missiles had wiped out many, compared to the tidal wave of symbiotes still surging forward, it was only a drop in the ocean.

Down below, the symbiotes kept crawling forward, endless and overwhelming.

Belle Morwyn was flushed with excitement.

She never imagined she'd get to slaughter symbiotes like this!

But then—

A blob of black slime suddenly burst from the spacecraft's hull, heading straight for her.

"Om!"

Fenric activated his mind power.

The symbiote froze mid-air, struggling madly but unable to advance.

Belle Morwyn turned pale with fright.

Being possessed by a symbiote usually meant death.

Because not everyone could handle a bond with one of the "Symbiote Four."

Aside from physical compatibility, the symbiote also had to accept you.

So even if symbiote fusion promised power, no Samsara player dared to risk it.

Those who did—died.

Fwoosh!

A jet of flame appeared. The struggling creature was quickly incinerated.

"Thank you, thank you, Lord Shura!" Belle said earnestly, her face pale.

Fenric retracted the flamethrower and calmly turned his gaze toward the endless symbiote army.

Belle Morwyn, however, looked terrified.

"You should go," Fenric said. "Return to the Samsara Space. The rest of this battle isn't something you can be part of."

The system had already notified her—she could leave anytime or stay for up to thirty days.

Belle Morwyn nodded obediently. "Okay. Be careful, Lord Shura."

She knew that staying would only hold him back.

"I will." Fenric smiled faintly.

Belle Morwyn gave him one last look before vanishing from the spot.

Now alone, Fenric began his massacre in earnest.

He grabbed the rest of the incendiary bombs Belle had brought and threw them into the horde.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Though incendiary bombs weren't as explosive as missiles, their damage lingered.

The planet's atmosphere had more oxygen than Earth's, so flames burned even hotter.

Sometimes, a single burning symbiote would flee, spreading fire to others in the crowd.

"You killed a symbiote. Progress: 3/1."

"You killed a symbiote. Progress: 4/1."

"You killed a symbiote. Progress: 336/1."

Before the bombs were used up, Fenric found the pace too slow.

So he leapt off the spacecraft—straight into the enemy ranks.

Seeing this, Riot let out a furious scream and commanded the army to swarm him.

Fenric just laughed.

"Perfect."

Fweeeet—!

The enchanted whistle blew again.

All around him, symbiotes froze in place, paralyzed.

Fenric fired up the flamethrower and reaped them like weeds.

The slaughter lasted three days and two nights.

The battlefield was a sea of fire and charred symbiote corpses.

If not for the system's constant updates, Fenric would've lost count of his kills.

Riot stood atop the spacecraft, trembling with rage as it watched its kind perish.

But it never dared approach.

Because Fenric wielded two ultimate weapons: the enchanted whistle and the flamethrower.

Both were symbiote killers.

Even Riot, as powerful as it was, didn't dare face him directly.

Suddenly, Riot's expression changed. Its monstrous face twisted in fear.

Without a sound, it turned and fled.

Fenric, mid-massacre, paused—not from exhaustion. His body could fight for days without rest.

It was the symbiotes—they were retreating.

Fenric froze, eyes narrowing.

Then, realization struck.

"System, return me to the Samsara Space—now!"

The words had barely left his lips before he vanished.

BOOM!

A massive, inhuman hand slammed down where Fenric had just been standing—missing him by inches.

A second later, from deep underground, a monstrous roar echoed—inhuman, guttural, and filled with a terrifying presence that shook the air.
