With all the major figures in attendance, the sixth day's assessment officially began.
The remaining 92 participants were divided into two teams.
Once again, lots were drawn to determine opponents.
The first to step forward was the blind man known as "Issho."
He reached into the box and drew a small ball, handing it to the referee beside him. Unable to see the number himself, he relied on the official's announcement.
"Contestant No. 22, Issho—your opponent is Contestant No. 55, Kate!"
As the referee's voice rang out, Fenric clearly saw the man nicknamed "Kate" instantly turn pale.
Apparently, Kate knew all too well that he was no match for Issho.
And indeed, he wasn't.
The moment both contestants stepped onto the stage, Kate was quickly overwhelmed and defeated, leaving the ring with a look of despair.
Still, with his current reputation and accomplishments, he likely wouldn't have trouble completing his mission from the Samsara System.
After Issho's easy victory, the 27th person approached the box—a chubby young man wielding a massive axe.
Despite his youthful appearance, his massive frame stood out—taller and broader than the average adult. Dressed in a bright red bellyband and carrying a giant axe slung over his shoulder, he radiated an imposing aura that made people hesitant to judge him by his age.
From the viewing platform above, Admiral Kizaru chuckled at the sight.
"This kid's pretty cute," he remarked.
"Contestant No. 11, Sentomaru—your opponent is Contestant No. 67, Banamen!"
As the next pairing was announced...
Moments later, another Samsara was eliminated.
That's right—Banamen, known as the "King of Fighting," was a Samsara player like Fenric. His combat style? The "Yagami Ancient Martial Arts" from the King of Fighters universe!
He definitely had connections—there's no way a newcomer to the Third Stage of the Samsara Tower could afford to acquire such a legendary martial art without serious backing.
After Sentomaru's rather foul-smelling victory, the third contestant approached the box.
This man's uniform was noticeably different from the standard recruit's attire. Even the referee greeted him with visible respect.
His name was Yumo, a disciple of the former Admiral "Black Wrist" Zephyr. Currently serving as a Navy captain, Yumo was one of the Three Elite Masters everyone was eager to see in action.
His appearance stirred interest among the higher-ups seated on the observation platform.
Zephyr had once trained many powerful disciples—including the current three Admirals.
In terms of seniority, that made Red Dog (Akainu), Green Pheasant (Aokiji), and Yellow Monkey (Kizaru) essentially Yumo's "senpais."
Back in the arena...
Yumo silently drew a ball from the box.
The referee paled upon seeing the number.
"Contestant No. 85, Yumo, your opponent is Contestant No. 30—Mundo!"
The moment the names were called, gasps echoed through the crowd.
Two of the Three Elite Masters were about to face off!
As Fenric calmly walked toward the ring, excitement rippled through the audience. All eyes were glued to the stage, eager to witness a true showdown between two elites.
"Hey, who do you think is stronger? Senior Mundo or Senior Yumo?"
"I bet on Senior Yumo. His teacher was the famous Admiral Zephyr! That kind of background guarantees strength!"
"No way, I'm rooting for Mundo. So far, no one has even forced him to go all out!"
Even the high-ranking officers on the platform grew interested, their attention fixed on the unfolding match.
In the ring, Fenric and Yumo faced off from a distance.
In terms of size, Fenric was clearly at a disadvantage.
Though tall by normal standards, he looked downright petite next to Yumo's towering frame of over 2.5 meters.
Fenric sighed inwardly. In the original timeline, Yumo (Momonga) had already become a renowned figure during Roger's era. For someone like him to suddenly appear here as a contestant… there was no doubt—it was the Samsara System at work again.
"Begin!"
The referee's voice rang out.
Whoosh!
Before the echo faded, Yumo vanished.
Navy Six Forms: Shave!
The Navy Six Forms was an advanced martial art, exclusive to high-ranking officers. It pushed the limits of the human body and consisted of six powerful techniques.
Yumo had clearly mastered both Shave and Moonwalk.
Shave—in just 0.36 seconds, by stomping the ground dozens of times in rapid succession, the user generates explosive reaction force and seemingly disappears from sight.
As Yumo vanished, Fenric's eyes narrowed sharply.
He clenched his right fist, coating it instantly with Armament Haki.
Without hesitation, he punched the air to his left!
To bystanders, it looked like he was attacking thin air.
But the next second, a large figure materialized—Yumo—mid-kick, striking from Fenric's blind spot.
His foot, wrapped in Armament Haki, came crashing down—
BOOM!!!
Fist and foot collided with a deafening roar.
A shockwave exploded outward from the two fighters, the force cracking the broadcasting platform beneath Fenric's feet inch by inch.
Below the ring, the watching recruits were stunned.
No one expected the duel to erupt with such intensity from the very first move!
"Moonwalk!"
Yumo shouted, withdrawing his leg as his body launched into the air. His feet tapped against the air itself, propelling him like a ghost above the battlefield.
Navy Six Forms: Moonwalk!
This technique resembled lightfoot-style martial arts, akin to "Cloud-Stepping."
By exerting powerful force with each step, users could walk on air as though climbing invisible stairs.
Watching Yumo dart through the sky, Fenric remained expressionless.
He raised one hand and pressed downward.
"Come down."
Telekinesis: Activated.
An invisible force surged upward, immediately binding Yumo's movements. Mid-air, he felt his limbs stiffen as the force disrupted his control over Moonwalk.
His towering form began plummeting toward the ground.
