Chapter 47 - Almost a Death

In Liu Yueyan's room, seven of her were diligently training, with only one discordant presence.

"Aiya! How many of my ape heads has this damned Tiger Vanguard eaten! Isn't it afraid of bursting!"

"Noobs don't get to talk, you know? A mere little tiger. Watch this angel stand her ground, ya~ hey!"

"..."

"Scream!! What kind of loser are you? Huh!"

"Impossible! Someone must have messed with my keyboard! Watch me just..."

The golden-haired girl pulled a golden horn from her pants and was about to blow it.

"Stop!"

Liu Yueyan pushed Gabriel away, snatched the golden horn, and threw it to the side.

A nearby Liu Yueyan saw the golden horn fly over, and with a wave of her hand, a gust of Anemo brought it to her.

"You two! Both of you, stop!"

Another Liu Yueyan who was practicing Breathing Styles walked over, pointing a wooden sword at the two.

Liu Yueyan and Gabriel immediately stopped their squabble and sat乖乖to the side, watching the Liu Yueyan with the wooden sword.

Just then, the Liu Yueyan sitting on the ground had a jolt of realization. "Wait a minute! I'm the main body! What right do you have to control me?!"

"Hmm?" The Liu Yueyan with the wooden sword glared at her, and she immediately sat up properly again.

"You have the nerve to say that! You, the main body, do nothing but play games! You don't do anything!"

"But I did it just to be lazy (in a super quiet voice)."

"Hmm? What did you say?"

"N-nothing..."

Beside them, Gabriel watched the clone scold the real Liu Yueyan with a happy expression. It served this Liu Yueyan right for constantly disturbing her, causing her to die nearly 24 times against a puny Tiger Vanguard.

.......

Putting Liu Yueyan's matter aside, let's return to the protagonist's side.

Lin Tian had already led the four girls for several thousand blocks in the Twilight Forest. Along the way, they had encountered three or four more Naga Courtyards and Lich Towers, but they just couldn't find the remaining four branch bosses.

"Is my luck just bad?" Lin Tian began to doubt himself. Thinking back on his various exploits, he started to become certain. "It must be a coincidence."

They walked for another five minutes.

"Mitsuri, you lead the way."

Lin Tian threw the Magic Map on the ground and stepped on it, but the map was directly absorbed into his body.

"Me?" Mitsuri Kanroji pointed at herself.

"Yes, I believe in you!"

"Then... to the right?"

Lin Tian immediately led the four girls to the right. Before long, they saw a swamp.

Lin Tian was silent. 'Heavens! What do you mean by this? Are you looking down on me?'

System: 'What more do you want? Aren't you satisfied with having me?'

Chat Group: 'Don't forget who brought you Mitsuri Kanroji!'

....

Before long, Lin Tian and the four girls saw a structure that looked like a well. But there was no water inside; instead, it was a place similar to a secret realm.

After easily digging their way down, Lin Tian and the four girls split up to explore the first floor. Because the Minotaur's Labyrinth didn't have any particularly strong monsters, Lin Tian wasn't worried about their safety.

Moreover, he had specially told them about the monsters and traps that would be in this labyrinth. He was sure no one would trigger... a Totem of Undying, right?

Fifteen minutes later, the five gathered at the entrance to the second floor.

Everyone else was unharmed, only Aoi Kanzaki looked completely terrified.

The moment she saw everyone, she threw herself into Shinobu Kocho's arms and burst into tears.

"Waaah~, Sister Shinobu!இдஇ"

"There, there, don't cry~" Shinobu comforted Aoi gently. She didn't know what had happened, but for Aoi to cry like this... she must have used a Totem of Undying.

"What's wrong?" Seeing Aoi cry, Lin Tian's brow furrowed, and he came to her side.

The other two girls also came to her side and comforted her in low voices.

Aoi, sobbing, slowly recounted what had just happened.

....

After hearing her experience, Lin Tian's eyes showed surprise, pity, heartache, lingering fear, and a hint of... relief?

It turned out that after Aoi had separated from them, she was initially exploring the maze normally. Just as she finished exploring and was heading towards the meeting point, she was sneak-attacked from behind by two Creepers and instantly killed, blowing up a Totem of Undying.

She had also successfully become the first person to use a Totem of Undying.

The four of them comforted her for a long time before she finally emerged from the shadow of her near-death experience.

Lin Tian also felt a wave of lingering fear. The system never said they could revive infinitely. If they died, it might have been for real!

'Why do Creepers all like to explode instantly? Are they that disgusting?'

"Let's go back after we finish this Minotaur," Lin Tian said. He also wanted to let Aoi relax and ease the heaviness in her heart.

Although it seemed she was fine after being comforted by everyone, he was afraid she was just putting on a brave face.

Arriving at the second underground level, Lin Tian didn't let everyone split up this time. He hadn't expected the Creepers to explode instantly. He had thought the one he encountered before was the only one that would, but it turned out they all did!

'Looks like it's better for everyone to stick together from now on, unless there are no disgusting things like Creepers.'

It didn't take much time for Lin Tian to find a place overgrown with mushrooms.

The Minotaur's lair. They had arrived.

Several Minotaurs with yellow axes in their hands ran out from the surroundings and charged at them, mooing as they ran.

Lin Tian paid them no mind, directly taking out his enchanted Netherite axe. With a few jump attacks, he took them all down.

Arriving at a small room enclosed by a fence, Lin Tian didn't let the four girls attack.

He took out an Enchanted Golden Apple and ate it, then broke the fence. With a shield in his left hand and a Netherite axe in his right, he began a life-or-death battle with the Minotaur.

"I'm in a hurry, so please just die."

......

In less than eight minutes, the Minotaur was killed by Lin Tian's desperate fighting style.

He casually picked up the drops from the Minotaur's death and walked over to the four girls with a smile.

"Let's go, let's go back."

The four girls stared blankly at Lin Tian, whose armor was covered in scratches. They had never seen him fight to the death like this before, and for a moment, they were a little unable to adjust.

"Tian, are you really okay?" Shinobu asked, looking at him with some worry.

"Don't worry about me. I'm fine," Aoi quickly said, thinking she had influenced him.

"Don't worry about me. It's normal for me to worry about you all. We're family, after all."

As he spoke, Lin Tian also hugged the four of them and teleported away.

He had already set markers at each boss's lair, so he wasn't worried about not being able to find them.

Near the Twilight Forest portal, a light flashed, and the five of them returned.

"Let's go, let's go home."
