Most of the people in the audience were famous figures from Twilight City, and many of them were experienced familiar tamers with strong backgrounds.
Soon, one of the familiar tamers in the stands figured out what had really happened:
"An upper-level succubus has reached the master level. There's a chance she can learn mind-control skills!"
"Many top agents will make a deal with a top succubus, cut off her wings and horns, and dress her up as a human to work as a spy."
"Many top agents have a top-level succubus as their familiar. They cut off their wings and horns, make them look like humans, and use them for secret missions."
After hearing this, the crowd was completely shocked.
A woman who had bet a lot of money on Evelynna said: "But Logan's succubus is only at the elite level. Can elite-level beings really control minds? Is that even possible?"
"Yes! That succubus must be A-level!" Nancy Priest's voice rang out from the platform. Her face was full of anger and frustration.
Only now did she finally understand. Logan had really summoned two A-level familiars all along.
One was an angel, representing light.
The other was a succubus, representing darkness.
Under normal circumstances, both of these familiars would have been rare and hard to find. But somehow, they both showed up on the same day, summoned one after another by the same high school student.
Thinking about this, Nancy Priest's face turned darker and darker.
Next to her, Julia, the head of the Federation Bookmakers company, looked even worse.
She glared at Logan angrily, almost wanting to jump onto the stage and kick him in the backside right then and there.
But soon, she took a deep breath, turned to Natalia and said, "City Lord, this Logan kid is really tricky. He's tricked everyone. I have a reason to accuse him of gambling fraud."
"Gambling fraud?" Natalia laughed when she heard the word. "Did Logan actually bet money?"
Julia, now forced to answer, finally said, "N-no, the company didn't receive any bet from him."
"If Logan didn't even place a bet, then he can't be called a fraud," Natalia said with a smile, taking a sip of her red wine. "In my opinion, this is just a way to confuse the opponent."
"Also, Ms. Julia, I want to remind you that the most important thing in the betting business is honesty. You have to accept both wins and losses. I don't want any trouble happening in Twilight City."
As she said that, Natalia casually dropped a drop of wine onto the table. The wine made a deep hole right through the wood.
Julia saw this and her face turned pale in an instant.
Natalia spoke in a firm voice, and her meaning was clear.
She was determined to protect Logan. Could Julia dare to refuse?
Julia clearly wasn't brave enough, so she had to swallow her anger. "City Lord, rest assured. The reputation of Federation Bookmakers has always been good. We're strong enough to not even care about a hundred billion."
At this, Julia turned to Nancy Priest and said, "Besides, even if Logan played a little trick, it doesn't mean he can beat Holy Girl. Let's just wait and see, okay?"
"Let's wait and see!"
The three people on the platform all nodded, but their feelings were completely different.
What they all had in common was that they were all thinking about the same person—Logan.
At that moment, the third challenger had already stepped onto Logan's stage.
After seeing Lilith's power with his own eyes, the new challenger looked very serious. "Logan, you really are strong. But unfortunately, anyone who stands in the way of Holy Girl is doomed to lose."
With that, the challenger's body began to glow with a holy light, and behind him, a shadow of a silver-maned griffin appeared.
Soon, silver feathers grew on his body, and his arms stretched out like wings, with long feathers draping down to the ground.
"Familiar possession!"
As the challenger said that, his face also changed—his mouth turned into a long beak, and he looked like a real bird-like warrior.
Logan looked at him with surprise. "Are you a knight from the Temple Knights?"
Hearing this, the challenger narrowed his eyes and his voice became even sharper. "Exactly! Out of all the challengers in this match, 30% are from the Temple!"
Seeing that Logan was thinking, the challenger suddenly turned into a flash of silver light and rushed toward Logan. "Die!"
Logan had no time to react and barely dodged the attack, but his sleeve was torn open.
The challenger laughed wildly in the air. "Haha! Logan, your succubus might be able to control weak-minded familiars, but now I'm fused with my familiar—your trick of making them betray you won't work!"
Logan frowned deeply and looked up at the challenger coldly. "Are all Temple knights so dishonorable?" He shouted, "Lilith, go!"
Lilith was also angry after hearing that.
She cursed herself for being careless. "Who said my plan was to make the familiar betray? Can you think more clearly?"
Then, Lilith's eyes shone again, glowing a bright pink.
The challenger, seeing this, quickly closed his eyes and refused to look at her.
The Temple knights were well-trained, and he knew exactly how to deal with eye-based powers.
"You're stupid! Don't underestimate us elite knights!" Even with his eyes closed, he could still find Logan's position. "If you can't see, your succubus can't control me! Die!"
Lilith, seeing the challenger's arrogance, was a bit speechless. "Who gave you so much confidence? Thinking you can just close your eyes and escape a succubus' control? Did you read too many novels?"
Lilith's voice was soft, but it echoed directly in the challenger's soul.
As she finished her last word, the challenger's body, which was about to hit Logan, suddenly turned around 180 degrees and flew straight up into the air.
Then, the challenger started hitting himself in mid-air, flying away toward the outside of the camp.
From far away, the audience could still hear him talking to himself, repeating the same two sentences over and over.
"I'm an idiot… Temple knights don't play fair…"
"I'm an idiot… Temple knights don't play fair…"
It wasn't until the challenger completely left the camp that the referee finally announced Logan's second victory.
Not far away, Evelynna and Diana had also finished their opponents. They turned to look at Logan.
Seeing that Lilith could even control a Temple knight who had fused with a familiar, Evelynna frowned. "Diana, you rest. Let elf Siel take over!"
"Why? I can still fight!" Diana didn't want to go back to the familiar space.
"Listen to me. My match against Logan is decided by the number of wins. You and elf Siel need to take turns fighting to save energy most efficiently." Evelynna explained while looking at Logan and Lilith, her face serious. "Even though I don't think I'll lose to that poor kid, I won't give him any chance to catch up because of my own arrogance!"
Hearing this, Diana just shrugged and agreed. "If this makes Logan lose even harder, I'm all for it!"
After saying that, Diana spread her wings and flew straight to the edge of Logan's platform, looking down at him. "You lowly human, I admit your succubus has some strength, but unfortunately, your power still can't match Evelynna's..."
Bang!
Before Diana could finish her words, a bunch of water bottles suddenly rained down on her.
"Stupid angel! You're interfering with the match, do you know that?" A student from Morning Light High School shouted angrily. "You don't go to your own stage to fight, instead you come here to show off and mess with people's minds. That's cheating!"
As the student finished speaking, other students from the same school quickly joined in.
"Trash angel! You're the one being sneaky, go back where you came from!"
"You're just a bird-like warrior, who do you think you are to look down on people?"
The insults kept coming, and Diana's face turned red with anger.
"Shut up!" she shouted, her eyes glowing with bright light. She fired dozens of *Holy Bolt* arrows toward the audience stand.
These arrows were full of her anger—she held nothing back.
Even a City Guard soldier hit by one would be knocked out cold.
If the students were hit, the result would be terrible.
Seeing this, Logan got really worried. "Damn it! You dare touch them!"
