Eunji looked terrified, tears streaming down her face as she took a hurried step back. "Rihan," she croaked.
Rihan swallowed hard, trying to calm himself. "How can you say that when you were never happy that I existed?"
"No… it's not like that. It's never been like that," Eunji said, her face paling as she waved her hands in panic.
Rihan's lips twitched. "So I was just imagining everything? You can't just pretend to be happy with me. I'm not here because of you or Dad. I'm here because of my siblings. You don't have to cry crocodile tears just to calm your own guilt."
Eunji shook her head. "No… I'm not… it's not like that. It's just that it's been so many years, and you... it's been so long and—"
"Stop," Rihan cut her off harshly. "Why are you crying? Are you trying to manipulate me? Seriously?"
"No!" Eunji's eyes widened, but Rihan was already walking past her, heading back toward the dining room to get Taeryn. He didn't want to stay here anymore.
