Zuriel
I sit in my living room, scrolling through some articles. Alisha sits beside me, clinging to my arm like some kitten who's deprived of attention. Truth be told, it's so annoying, I could break.
I keep scrolling till my eyes land on an article. It reads, 'MR. KLAUS GRIMHOLLOW CEO OF THE ASTRATECH INNOVATION INDUSTRIES, ANNOUNCES HIS MARRIAGE TO THE CEO OF STELLARWORKS, MS. AURORA MARCELLANE.'
I stare at the screen, my eyes nearly popping out of their sockets.
She actually got married to him? She wasn't joking when she said she was getting married to him!
"It can't be," I gawk at the screen in front of me.
Alisha, sits up, peeking at the screen before me, "Huh?"
"Aurora got married to Klaus!" I snap.
She gives me a strange look, "So? What should we do with that?"
I stare at her irritated, "You're such a knucklehead. Don't you know what this means? I can't get her back if I want to now!"
Her eyes darken, "What do you mean you want to get her back? You really want to claim your ex back? Are you stupid, Zuriel?"
I stand up from the couch, feeling shame, embarrassment, and rage punch me in the gut all at once.
"Fuck Klaus, that son of a bitch!"
Alisha grabs my arm, spinning me around, "You can't be for real, right? I'm still your girlfriend, you wretched man!"
I hold my head, trying to control the overwhelming sense of rage that threatens to snap if she keeps talking nonsense.
"If you had been a proper girlfriend, we wouldn't be in this mess! It's because of you we're running bankrupt!" I fire at her.
She takes a step back, "You're blaming me for your poor management skills? If you had been as smart as you claim to be, then we wouldn't run bankrupt!" She fires back, her eyes popping out of their sockets.
I pull away from her, "Stop talking nonsense. I have to win her back, or else it's over for me."
"You cheating scumbag!" She slaps me hard across the face, "You aren't even ashamed to say that in front of me?"
I flare up at her words, my eyes seeing red. I lunge at her, punching her in the face. She falls back to the ground, with a gasp.
"You're not the one who's saying that right? You're the evil woman who seduced me, making me lose what was precious to me!" I kick her in the stomach.
"You're the cause of my problems, Alisha!" I roar, giving her another hard kick in the stomach.
She yells for me to stop, but I don't listen, I kick her again, and again, and again.
I pick her up, giving her another hard punch in the face, and in the stomach.
"You stupid bitch! Trying to ruin my plans, right? If you hadn't come into my life, things would have been better for me!" I push her back to the floor, and she hits it with a hard thud.
Her eyes roll back in their sockets, as she begins to cough out blood.
Only then do I snap back to my senses. I immediately stop giving her kicks in the stomach, and rush to help her up.
"Oh gosh, I'm sorry Alisha," I gasp, helping her to the couch.
She looks drained of color, her skin turning ghostly pale. The light in her eyes flickers, her nose, and lips stained with blood, her body trembling like a leaf.
She coughs out more blood, again, clutching at her stomach.
"Alisha!" I gasp, "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me," I hold her hand, but she snaps her hand away from mine.
"I'm.. the one who seduced you?" She looks at me with broken eyes, "Really Zuriel?" Her voice drops to a whisper.
I open my mouth to say something, but she just laughs coldly, looking away.
"You know you were the one who approached me first. I stayed with you through your thick, and thin, and now I'm the villain?"
"Alisha, I'm so sorry."
She lets out another bitter laugh, "Of course, you truly are a shameless man after all. I guess this is my punishment for sleeping with a married man in the first place."
Rage flares up in my veins again, "What are you even talking about?" I land another punch on her neck before I can stop myself.
She gasps, more blood spewing out of her mouth. She throws her head back, her breath coming out in short, rapid gasps.
I pause, the weight of the situation finally dawning on me.
"Oh no, what have I done?" I place my hands over my mouth.
Alisha slowly stops breathing, her eyes fluttering shut.
"Alisha?" I slightly shake her body.
"Can you hear me? What's this? A prank?" I raise my voice.
She doesn't reply.
I panic at the realization that she's actually gone.
"No, no, no, no," I hiss, grabbing her hand to feel for a pulse, but there's nothing.
I pull away from her body, my heart pounding with panic, and fear.
"No one has to know. I'll just find a way to hide her body," I mumble to myself, "Yes! That's what I'll do."
I rush to the inner rooms, grabbing a big blanket that we no longer used.
I rush back to her body, and wrap it up. Then another dilemma, hits me. I don't know where to dispose of the body.
"Should I bury it? Should I dump it somewhere?" I rub my chin, thinking of what to do next.
"Dumping it is a lot more easier," I shrug.
I pick up her body, and carry it into the basement, and dump her body there. I can't risk taking the body out of the house, else someone sees me.
I'd have to wait until it's nighttime.
I stand over the body, my hands on my hips, "You shouldn't have provoked me, Alisha. Now see what you've done."
I shake my head, swirling on my feet, and walk out of the basement. For now, I've got a woman's heart to win over.
