Stephanie's POV
I haven't laughed this hard in years. My cheeks actually hurt.
The RV was ridiculous. A giant, rumbling beast on wheels. But inside, it was cozy. The kids were bouncing off the walls, finding every hidden compartment. Cane looked like a little boy driving a bus, his hands tight on the huge steering wheel, a huge grin on his face.
We drove for about an hour, just enjoying the view. Then Cane saw a sign and got that look in his eye.
"We're making our first stop!" he announced.
"Where?" Josh yelled from the back.
"You'll see!"
It was a place called "Funland." Not a big, fancy theme park. A small, old-fashioned one by the lake. The rides looked a little rusty but cheerful. The smell of popcorn and hot dogs filled the air.
"Our first activity," Cane said, parking the monster vehicle. "The rollercoaster."
I looked at it. It was called "The Blue Streak." It was made mostly of wood. It made a lot of creaking noises.
