Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: HSOTD (fin)

At dusk, in a quiet villa—

Saeko, Takagi Yuriko, Minami Rika, and several other girls had gathered.

Their faces were tense, weighed down by fear and despair.

Minami Rika had brought horrifying news: the top brass was seriously planning to drop a nuclear bomb on the city.

It was already en route.

There was no escape.

"Damn it! We fought so hard to survive, and now this?!" shouted Saya, slamming her fist on the table.

She wasn't the only one. Miyamoto Rei and the others were just as distraught.

They had battled the undead day after day, carving out a safe haven. How could it end like this?

Rika remained composed. She checked the time on her phone and said calmly, "It's time. The strike is coming…"

The death knell had sounded.

"Buzz!"

A low hum echoed through the sky just as Minami Rika finished speaking.

The girls rushed to the window and looked up—an aircraft shaped like a long train was descending.

"Goodbye… world…" whispered Rei, closing her eyes.

In those final moments, what flashed in her mind was Nanashi—the one she'd been waiting for. His image had been etched into her heart without her even realizing it.

Boom!

The earth shook violently.

They knew.

The nuclear explosion had arrived.

A minute later.

Rei opened her eyes, dazed. "Am I… dead?"

Was death supposed to feel so painless?

The others looked just as confused.

What happened to the explosion?

They turned to Rika.

Rika shook her head. "Don't look at me. I'm clueless. We all saw the bomb, and the ground shook."

Saya frowned. "Could it have been a dud?"

Yuriko echoed her confusion. "Can a nuclear bomb even be a dud?"

Alice didn't really understand, but followed their lead and furrowed her brow.

Only Shizuka observed silently, her index finger at the corner of her mouth. Her eyes stayed on Saeko.

From the beginning, Saeko had been unusually calm.

As if she knew something.

Suddenly, Saeko broke into a radiant smile. "Nanashi-kun… you made it."

"!!!"

The name rang in everyone's ears.

They all turned to look where she was gazing.

And there he was.

The figure that had haunted their thoughts and dreams—

Nanashi.

"Nanashi-kun!!!"

"Nanashi-onii-chan!"

Little Loli Alice ran forward and leapt into his arms, hugging him tightly.

Nanashi raised his right hand slightly, letting Saeko take it, and rubbed it with her left.

"Long time no see."

Saeko's tone remained calm. "The nuclear bomb… Nanashi-kun handled it, didn't you?"

Nanashi nodded, raising his right hand in front of him. "Here."

Only then did the others notice a small, glowing red orb floating above his palm.

Yuriko stepped forward in astonishment. "This is…"

"All the energy from the nuclear explosion—it's here," Nanashi explained, his tone as composed as ever. It was as if he didn't consider the matter significant at all.

With vector manipulation, he had absorbed the entire energy of the detonation, wrapped it in multiple containment layers, and compressed it into a tiny bead.

"What?!"

Several people shouted at once.

Terror flashed across their faces.

They knew exactly what a nuclear bomb meant—its destructive power, its horror.

And yet Nanashi was casually holding its energy in his hand like it was a toy. That was terrifying.

"This is the energy from a nuclear bomb! Can I… touch it?" Yuriko asked. Her fear had faded, replaced by fascination. Her eyes sparkled with the curiosity of a researcher. Same with her daughter.

"Don't be ridiculous," Nanashi said. With a thought, the orb dissolved, devoured by a red substance and vanishing into the air.

"Ehh…" Saya pouted, disappointed.

At that moment, Shizuka clapped her hands in realization, startling the group.

"No wonder Saeko wasn't worried at all. She knew Nanashi-kun would come."

"Yes," Saeko confirmed with a nod.

Rika and the others now understood—Saeko had called in their trump card.

But even knowing that, the scale of Nanashi's power was staggering.

Nanashi turned to Saeko. "Now that I'm here, let's deal with the corpses in this world."

Yuriko blinked. "Nanashi-kun, you mean… eliminate all the undead?"

"That's right."

She hesitated. "Can… something like that even be done?"

"Just watch."

Under the faint light, Nanashi's eyes shifted color.

For a brief moment, the women noticed the change, but before they could react, he raised his hand and passed his fingers through the air.

From a higher dimension, unseen by them, the origin point of the zombie virus was severed.

Then he activated the Archon(The Ruler)'s Bankai—a technique that transmitted a mental command across the globe, informing every human brain that the zombie virus had vanished and peace could resume.

His eyes returned to normal.

"All done."

The room was silent.

"…Done?" someone echoed in disbelief.

But they hadn't seen anything—no grand spectacle, no explosion.

Shouldn't wiping out all the undead have been more dramatic?

Yet the world had changed.

Only Saeko understood.

Because a soft chime rang from the chat group interface.

[Ding! The system has detected that the zombie virus has been eradicated. The apocalypse has ended!]

[Congratulations to Nanashi for earning 1,000,000 Doomsday Points. Congratulations to Saeko Busujima for earning 100,000 Doomsday Points!]

"Nanashi-kun…" Saeko began, uncertain. She hadn't done anything to deserve the points. But she couldn't bring herself to say it aloud.

"Keep them," Nanashi said, blinking at her. "I don't need them anyway."

"What are you two talking about?" Saya asked, suspicious.

Saeko waved it off. "Nothing. Since Nanashi-kun said the zombies are gone, let's go see for ourselves."

"Yes!"

The group quickly rushed outside to confirm it for themselves.

As Rei reached the door, she glanced back and saw Saeko hadn't moved. Her expression shifted, uncertain for a moment, then she turned and closed the door behind her.

"You're not going with them?" Nanashi asked, tilting his chin.

He hadn't expected Saeko to wet her lips with a slow lick, her hands settling at her waist.

With the sound of rustling cloth, she began approaching him, hips swaying.

"Nanashi-kun… You know how long I've waited for this moment, don't you?"

Nanashi looked down. Beneath the hem of her clothes, black lace hinted at unspoken promises.

"I do now."

An hour later, night had fallen.

In a quiet bedroom within the villa, Saeko stretched out languidly beside Nanashi.

With eyes still gleaming with passion, she teasingly stroked his chest. "Nanashi-kun… have you done this before?"

"Yeah," he answered honestly. "With my girlfriends."

Saeko didn't seem to mind. She leaned in, exhaling softly against his skin. "Then… can I be your woman?"

Nanashi lifted her chin gently with his right hand, smiling. "Aren't you already?"

Hearing it from him directly brought a warm, peaceful glow to Saeko's smile. "It's reassuring… to hear you say it."

Click.

The door creaked open.

Nanashi looked up, feigning formality. "Who's there?"

Silence answered.

Then the door slowly shut again.

Rustling.

The sound of fabric hitting the floor.

Bare footsteps padded softly across the room.

A warm presence pressed against Nanashi's side.

A voice whispered from the shadows, "It's me. Rei."

Nanashi and Saeko exchanged a glance.

Neither looked surprised.

Nanashi wasn't the innocent type—and Rei had already made her choice.

"…Mmm."

"Have you thought it through?" Nanashi asked quietly.

"…Yes. I've made up my mind. I like you, Nanashi-kun… I want to be your woman too…"

"Come here, then."

"…Mm!"

In the living room.

Saya and the others sat around the table, enjoying their meal.

They had confirmed that all the undead were truly gone—and even the virus itself had lost all infectivity.

With the threat eliminated, the atmosphere was noticeably lighter.

Even while eating, they could enjoy the romantic ambiance created by the gentle notes of a joyful symphony playing in the background.

It was the kind of music that made people dream.

Alice ate quietly, keeping her head down.

Rika glanced at the closed door to Saeko's room and checked the time again, a mischievous look in her eyes. "It's been three hours."

Saya nearly dropped her chopsticks, cheeks flushing. "Mom… are men really that… powerful?"

After all, it only took her about ten minutes to handle things on her own.

But judging by the sounds from Saeko's room—and the steadily shifting rhythm of Rei and Saeko's voices—there hadn't been more than a few seconds of pause in three whole hours.

How many times had they done it? Wouldn't they be completely dehydrated by now?

These thoughts swirled through Saya's mind in a storm of embarrassment and curiosity.

Yuriko pressed her legs together and shifted slightly in her seat, clearly just as flustered. She had no idea how to respond to her daughter's question.

Thankfully—or perhaps not—Shizuka, ever the honest school nurse, answered candidly.

"In theory, 30 to 50 minutes is already impressive for a man—if he can last that long, let alone go multiple rounds."

She added with a laugh, "For Nanashi-kun to keep going for three hours straight? That's not human. He might actually be superhuman."

Saya and Yuriko both cringed.

Did she really have to say it so bluntly?

Didn't she see how Alice was too embarrassed to even lift her head?

Still… what they didn't know was that it hadn't just been three hours.

From the moment it started with Saeko, it had gone on for six hours.

Of course, the brunt of it had been handled by Saeko—her combat-honed body strengthened by slaying the undead to the point where she could practically destroy a small army.

Rei gave it her all.

But even then… she couldn't keep up.

Early the next morning.

Saya and the others noticed there was still no movement from Saeko's room.

Curious—and a little concerned—they crept over and quietly opened the door.

Nanashi was gone.

But the state of the room—and of Saeko and Rei—left them completely stunned.

The table, chairs, even the door… everything was in utter disarray.

As for Saeko and Rei… best not to describe it.

It was too much.

Too graphic.

Who could've imagined that two girls could end up looking like that? As if they'd been drenched in milk…

Elsewhere, during class.

Nanashi found his thoughts drifting back to Saeko and Rei.

He had to admit—of all the women he'd encountered across different worlds, the ones in Saeko's world had some of the fullest chest and deepest passions.

Well… Cocolia was on a whole other level of absurdity.

But it was exactly that kind of human sincerity that made him linger.

It seemed that after experiencing Cocolia's motherly devotion… he had awakened an unexpected fetish.

He had used the same technique on Saeko and Rei that he'd once used on Cocolia.

Their reactions… their expressions… exquisite.

Now, somewhere deep down, he was already anticipating his encounter with Yukino.

He glanced at her seated in front of him.

"…"

Sigh. Still a long way to go.

Looks like I'll have to give her a little push myself.

"???"

Yukino, paying attention to the lecture, suddenly felt a jolt of instinctual unease.

A strange, ominous feeling washed over her.

Was someone… thinking about her?

She frowned, considering whether she should mention it to Nanashi.

But it was hopeless to try and focus on class now.

Better to give in to distraction. Fishing was the real way to go.

In the chat group.

March 7th:

"Saeko? Nanashi? Where are you? No one's updated me on Saeko's situation—it's been a whole day!"

Platelet:

"Um… Mr. Nanashi and the others aren't in trouble, right?"

White Blood Cell:

"If you need help, I'm ready to assist."

Nanashi:

"Haha, appreciate the concern, but you should focus on your work. Everything's fine here."

Nanashi:

"Platelet, next time call me 'Brother Nanashi.'"

Platelet:

"Okay… understood, Nanashi onii-chan."

Silver Wolf:

"So we've got a Platelet-chan and Honghong… Are you a sis-con or something?"

Nanashi:

"Nope. I can't control a real sister. But non-blood-related sisters? Totally controllable~"

Silver Wolf:

"Can I call the police?"

Tushan Honghong:

"Nanashi onii-chan is a good man!"

After spending so much time in the chat, Honghong had learned some common phrases from other worlds—like "call the police."

March 7th:

"Focus! Can we talk about what actually matters?"

Nanashi:

"What matters is that I've resolved everything. Nuclear bombs, apocalypses… handled."

Seitenshi:

"What about Miss Saeko?"

Nanashi:

"She's… resting. Worn out from everything."

Nami:

"…"

Emilia:

"Well, it was a world-saving mission. That must be exhausting."

Bronya:

"Just managing local affairs makes me dizzy…"

Nanashi:

"Then work hard. I'll bring your mother back soon to see how much you've grown."

Bronya:

"…Mother's coming?"

Nanashi:

"Mm."

Bronya:

"Understood. I'll work harder so she'll be proud."

Nanashi:

"That's the spirit."

With a final word of encouragement, Nanashi closed the chat interface.

He looked up at the ceiling and smiled faintly.

"Oh? They're here already?"
