Chapter 275: You Look Tired, Batman
Parker Industries had already acquired sufficient heavy industry factories to form assembly lines producing comprehensive Batman-required equipment.
But currently one extremely realistic problem existed: barely two weeks had passed since possessing self-producing Arkham suit assembly lines. But now Arkham suits could no longer satisfy Batman's combat requirements.
In Gotham, Arkham suits could provide sufficient defense and functionality. But in New York—facing individuals routinely wielding dozens or even hundreds of tons of force—Arkham suits had to face retirement plans.
Not mentioning other factors, simply Batman's increasingly-powerful strength already made Arkham suits nearly unable bearing it.
Last night's Batwing hadn't even entered full-speed states. Batman could still endure the enormous pulling force generated when hanging from the Batwing via web strands through air. But Arkham suits couldn't endure first—moreover shattering most armor during subsequent Lizard Professor combat processes.
Batman must redesign new suits—one set both providing Peter Parker's body certain protection degrees while capable fighting individuals like Hulk.
Until now, Hulk had never displayed full capabilities before Batman. But he remained undoubtedly the most powerful creature Batman had encountered in this world.
"At New Mexico's gamma facility, I once employed Justice Buster Protocol."
Piloting the Batmobile through sewers, Batman returned to the Batcave, sitting in chairs while contemplating.
Venom Robin wasn't at Batcave level one—instead running to level two personally supervising unconscious Harry and others. Level one Batcave restored former quietness.
"Currently required tasks include: rapidly constructing personal satellite launch facilities, equipping satellites with redesigned Justice Buster Protocol."
This matter required astronomical funding. Current Parker Group lacked capability executing this plan—requiring certain timeframes completing it.
Short-term, Batman still needed using SHIELD satellites assisting himself executing certain missions.
"Need tracing Metropolitan Museum stone tablet fragment truth. It possesses eighty-percent likelihood involving supernatural powers. Currently I know extremely little about it."
Hawkeye had already carried Batman-crafted samurai outfit and katana, transforming into ronin proceeding to Yokohama, Japan investigating Yami Kaze Group.
"Need finding Black Widow within fifteen days." This represented promised conditions to Hawkeye.
"Need resolving Norman Osborn's crime problems." Batman didn't trust SHIELD prisons. New York prisons similarly so. Moreover they lacked Green Goblin confinement conditions. Bat Island's detention area remained unfinished.
Under these circumstances, making Norman Osborn strive toward New York State Governor directions—transforming accordingly—became relatively optimal choices.
"Need crafting new suits."
Batman considered vibranium. But his relationship with Wakanda hadn't reached degrees where vibranium mines opened to him.
If wanting using vibranium crafting suits, Batman needed employing some unconventional methods. Regarding this, Batman didn't mind—even already synchronously contemplating subsequent plans.
"Need resolving Lizard Professor's mutation—or rather evolution—problems." Currently Dr. Banner was responsible for this matter. But didn't mean Batman would completely hands-off.
"Need training Venom Robin." This represented daily-required tasks.
"Need ensuring Professor Warren Miles's safety." After Oscorp twentieth-floor accidents, the other three had experienced mutations. Batman remained extremely vigilant regarding Professor Warren's conditions.
"Need re-investigating Dr. Helen Cho. According to my previous speculation, she may have already contacted certain supernatural powers unknown to me. Therefore upon seeing Professor Warren's injuries, she directly associated vampires."
The individual destroying Batman's listening device and miniature positioning tracker placed on Dr. Cho had been identified by Batman—precisely Hawkeye.
That day Batman had barely departed when Hawkeye subsequently proceeded to Metropolitan General Hospital. Naturally because one Oscorp accident victim—Professor Warren—lay bedridden.
Though twentieth-floor accidents from beginning-to-end lacked Batman's shadows, Hawkeye still didn't want abandoning any possible leads.
"Need following trails, extracting other Hydra behind still-lurking-within-SHIELD Hydra spy Garrett."
Stark Group's weapons leak incidents had concluded. But Garrett remained within SHIELD.
Nick Fury claimed this was his chess piece. But Batman still suspected Nick Fury represented SHIELD's internal largest Hydra.
"Adirondack Mountains facility fallen to Hydra base. Yet there possesses one of SHIELD's greatest secrets—the Tesseract. Also possibly providing methods returning to Gotham—supernatural items. This also represents matters requiring handling."
"Conversely, only confirming Cube Prison confines that human-transport Tesseract-data Hydra agent can I confirm Cube Prison's safety. But Hawkeye—departing there—remained uninformed about this."
Batman removed his cowl, rubbing his temples.
He simultaneously contemplated several matters. Though purely mental activities, difficulty was no less than once battling Abomination at gamma facilities.
Speaking of which, Batman's combat against Abomination even counted as relaxed—everything within grasp.
"Missing Kingpin, Alfred AI, Bat Island construction, plus Manhattan's Ant-Man and Wasp whom I've never contacted..."
"Plus Tony Stark. He consistently publicly claims Iron Man is his personal bodyguard. I'm uncertain whether he'll consequently produce identity recognition psychological problems. But I need preparing plans preemptively."
"After Tony took Electro Max Dillon away, I've never personally recorded Dillon's conditions."
"Professor Morbius's blood substitute solutions still haven't been found."
Venom Robin's voice interrupted Batman's thoughts:
"Old Bat, you seem somewhat tired?"
Batman turned observing Venom Robin returning from level-two Batcave. His mind recalled another two forms appearing when testing Venom Robin: purely violent Venom, and cold assassin Eclipse Knight.
"Robin, come with me visiting someone." Batman shook his head, re-donning the cowl.
"Who?" Venom Robin extended his hand requesting one chocolate bar. After unwrapping, he stuffed it into Batman's mouth. "You genuinely need rest, Dad."
Batman didn't refuse Venom Robin's offered chocolate. Allowing subtle sweetness melting through his mouth. But his face still lacked expressions—only coldly producing words:
"Iron Man."
