Notting City, Blacksmith Shop.
Clang…clang…
The sound of a hammer repeatedly striking iron sounded around the place as a blue haired boy held the handle of the hammer and kept striking it on the hot iron incessantly.
Strike after strike, the hammering didn't stop until the fourteenth time before the boy stopped reluctantly with sweat on his face and slight panting.
He couldn't help but look at his hands, which were trembling in protest with veins bulging and slight redness on gradually darkening skin tone despite the protection provided by his Mysterious Jade Hand.
'Is this my limit? Unlike my Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record, which is linked to my Martial Soul, and I couldn't do anything about it getting me stuck in first level.
I couldn't even complete what is considered level two of the Disorder splitting wind hammer technique? Which relies on my physique?' He thought, feeling disappointed in himself.
The blacksmiths around looked at him in awe, as they praised him one by one despite feeling envious of the boy.
The boy smiled and cleaned up the bench to take some rest before going back to his dorm.
The boy sat crosslegged at the side and relaxed his body for a while before starting to cultivate to regulate his breath and relieve the stress from his hands.
"Such a diligent child, if only his Martial Soul was a hammer instead of Blue Silver Grass, he would've achieved so much more." The Boss of the shop said, as he sighed, staring at the boy.
The workers nodded in agreement as they sighed in regret for the boy.
Shortly after the boy opened his eyes feeling slightly refreshed and stood up to leave.
"Boss, I'm leaving for the day, I'll see you tomorrow." He said, bidding farewell and started walking to Notting Academy.
On the way he came across a vegetable stand where the smell and the unusually large size, different from normal and gets intrigued. Finding nothing from enquiring about it.
He checked them with his Purple Demon Eye and didn't detect any abnormality. He decided to buy them and left after a little more shopping and entered the academy grounds.
Shortly after entering the academy, he made his way to his teacher's dorm and knocked on it.
"The door is open Xiao San, come inside." Said a voice from the inside.
Tang San pushed the door and entered and watched as his teacher, wearing an apron, was preparing the dishes with utmost care.
"Teacher, I bought these vegetables, do you know why they seem abnormally large?" He asked, growing quite used to his teacher's care over the past 2 weeks.
Yu Xiaogong, who was going to prepare porridge, suddenly stopped his movements as the smell of the vegetables wafted through his nose.
Tang San then put the finished dishes on the dining table and waited for an answer which never came.
"T…Teacher?" Tang San muttered as he turned around to see his teacher looking at the vegetables he brought, wide eyed, while saliva dripped to the ground.
Yu Xiaogong jolted awake by his disciple's call, quickly turned to him and rushed over to his side in a single breath.
"Xiao San quick, tell me, are there more of these vegetables in the market?" Yu Xiaogong said, with an unusually anxious tone while holding Tang San's shoulders.
Tang San felt shocked seeing his teacher who was always composed behave like this but still replied. "No Teacher, I felt these vegetables might be a good thing so I bought everything."
Yu Xiaogong felt regretful and sighed.
Seeing his teacher's reaction, Tang san felt puzzled and asked.
"Teacher, are these vegetables really worth so much? The vendor even said, 'If it wasn't for the tough times and being robbed I wouldn't have come to sell these vegetables.'
And he sold out for 3 times higher than the normal price of the same vegetable."
Yu Xiaogong sighed once more and explained. "Xiao San, these vegetables are rich in Yang Energy and they nourish the body without leaving anything behind in the system.
I came across this a very long time ago, unfortunately, I was upset, drunk and arrogant back then and didn't pay attention to caution and ate too much.
If it wasn't for someone helping me relieve the stress back then I might've died."
Tang San's eyes widened in surprise as he stared at his teacher but he couldn't help but feel sceptical.
'could vegetables really cause that intense reaction?' He thought.
"Too much Yang Energy provoked a primal animal within me and I 'fought' with someone in a drunken haze for 3 days and 3 nights before getting exhausted.
I don't know who saved me that day, the details of that day are blurry to me, that's why I got agitated earlier, I thought it's the same person who sold you.
But according to your statement, it should be someone different." Yu Xiaogong said as he sighed again.
"Anyway, I can see you don't believe me, but I must still warn you. Don't over eat those vegetables." He continued seeing Tang San's sceptical look.
'Silly child, even I'm tempted to eat them despite suffering the consequences, I doubt you can resist it as much as I do.' Yu Xiaogong thought.
"Yes, Teacher." Tang San said despite the fact he still didn't believe the vegetables can have such power.
'For some reason, I really really want to try them.' He thought.
...
A/N: 1.)I don't know if i added it or not but this Tang San can only do 10 random hammers unlike the original where he did 16? At the blacksmith shop. Then I increase it. But I'm not sure if I added it or not.
2.)Care to guess who helped him.😉
3.) I'm not feeling good(cold, body pains, headache) so, tomorrow's update might be slow, or postponed to the next day.
4.) updates might get slower for the next week as I intend to stack up chapters and start a Patreon, seeing as i have no income and have nothing to eat next month let alone recharge my mobile.
5.) i won't abandon updating here, patreon is for advanced chapters only.
Last but not least——Your Power Stones fuel my writing cultivation. Don't let me bottleneck at this rank!😇
