Chapter 47 - Final Battle with the Hand

One week later, the sky was still gloomy, and the dark clouds hadn't dispersed, as if a massive black curtain enveloped the entire New York City.

Thunder rumbled, and the rain continued to pour down as usual, seemingly to wash away the city's clamor.

On the streets, pedestrians, accustomed to the recent strange weather, pulled out their umbrellas to brave the wind and rain.

A newly constructed office building loomed indistinctly in the storm, water streaming down its windows. An old woman stood behind a window, looking down at the city.

"It's finally time to end all of this," Madame Gao said with a hint of emotion.

Madame Gao turned around. The other members of The Hand were setting up a ritual, drawing a magic circle with human blood, placing candles burning with red light at its corners. To satisfy the demon, they also arranged some corpses marked with special patterns.

To ensure the plan was foolproof, The Hand even specially recruited many 'Onmyoji' from the Far East. These old men dressed in White robes were kneeling in the room, continuously chanting scriptures. White paper ropes were hung from the ceiling, seemingly intended to bind something.

"Is it almost time?" Madame Gao asked the busy individuals.

Alexandra, dressed splendidly, escorted several Vampires over. These Vampires were still unaware of what they were about to face. One of them foolishly asked,

"Hey, what are you doing? And it smells awful here." Vampires have keen senses of smell, and they seemed to detect an unpleasant odor, pinching their noses.

Hearing this, Bo Tu, one of The Hand's Five Fingers, smiled, "You'll know soon enough, Murakami, act!"

Murakami is one of The Hand's Five Fingers; compared to Bo Tu, who specializes in Far Eastern sword techniques, Murakami is more versatile.

Bo Tu and Murakami struck simultaneously. Under the augmentation of 'Qi,' their movements were as swift as a gale. Two pitch-black short daggers pierced the Vampire's chest.

"!!!"

The other Vampires tried to resist, but The Hand's Five Fingers and the ninjas were faster. In a blink of an eye, two pitch-black short daggers appeared in each Vampire's chest.

These short daggers were strange; despite not causing particularly large wounds, they left the Vampires without the strength to even pull them out. Their eyelids also grew heavy until they completely lost consciousness.

"That's enough," Madame Gao said, looking at the scene before her.

"I hope that bug doesn't come to cause trouble," Bo Tu said, hinting at someone.

Hearing this, Madame Gao looked up at the ceiling and muttered, "Perhaps he's already here."

Meanwhile, Ailer arrived at the office building where The Hand was located. He had been there a week ago.

Perhaps his perception had been enhanced after practicing 'Qi,' as Ailer immediately felt an unpleasant aura there at the time. Since then, he had scouted the location several more times, and that aura grew increasingly powerful.

Today was the day that aura was most prominent, stronger than all the previous times combined. This clear indication made Ailer realize that The Hand was about to begin their ritual.

The building might be a death trap, but Ailer's resolve only strengthened, and his fighting spirit grew more fervent.

The Hand, this cancerous growth, must be eradicated!

Ailer stared at the office building one last time, then went to a nearby rooftop. By then, he had completed his transformation, taking on his Magnum form.

The enemies inside were immortal ninjas and those five old, undying individuals. There was no need for mercy; killing every enemy he saw would be the correct approach.

Ailer took a running start on the rooftop and leaped into the office building, shattering the glass and landing steadily in a room. It was dusty and undecorated, and it was highly unlikely to be renovated in the future.

This was likely a middle floor of the office building, still some distance from the top floor. So, Ailer immediately set off, as he had already sensed the unique aura of The Hand's ninjas.

This aura was imperceptible to ordinary people, but it was particularly conspicuous to someone like Ailer, who possessed supernatural abilities.

When he was still some distance from the top floor, Ailer finally encountered the ninjas.

Today, the ninjas seemed to be shrouded in black mist, and their physiques were more robust than he had seen before. The Hand had probably enhanced them to increase their chances of victory.

"In that case, bring it on!" Ailer drew his Magnum Shooter 40X with his right hand, and the barrel of his left arm's expansion kit flipped over, adopting a combat stance for dealing with large numbers of enemies.

Facing the enemies like a tide, Ailer pulled the trigger, and gunshots immediately rang out incessantly.

The sounds of gunfire also reached the top floor, and the members of The Hand, in the midst of their ritual, realized that the person who would ruin their plans had arrived.

"He'll be here in two minutes at most," Madame Gao, who had fought Ailer the most times, said. She understood Ailer's strength best here.

The gunshots grew closer and closer, but the ritual was still incomplete.

Boom—

One and a half minutes later, the top floor's door was blasted open by Ailer's punch. The figure wearing a White fox mask and clad in black and White battle armor reappeared before The Hand's members.

"We must stop him." So Wanda, one of The Hand's Five Fingers with little presence, began to channel his 'Qi,' and the other four also prepared to strike.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Bo Tu drew a new katana and charged forward at his fastest speed.

Bo Tu's previous katana had been damaged in his battle with Ailer and could no longer be used, which was why he had replaced it with a new one. Because of this, the petty Bo Tu held a grudge against Ailer.

After this, Murakami, Madame Gao, So Wanda, and Alexandra joined the battle. They were all traitors who had escaped from K'un-Lun and had, over the long years, developed their own fighting styles.

Facing the encirclement of these five, Ailer was momentarily very cautious. After all, the power of 'Qi' could cause damage through armor, and he didn't want to prematurely exhaust his own 'Qi' now.

The formidable computing power provided by the Magnum armor allowed Ailer to remain at ease even when surrounded. After a few rounds, Bo Tu's katana was the first to break; how could such a crafted item be a match for a high-tech weapon like the Magnum Shooter 40X?

Having lost his weapon, Bo Tu could only fight with his fists and feet. Seeing this, Ailer smiled slightly, and the Magnum Shooter 40X unleashed its full firepower, instantly firing thousands of bullets.

In this situation, The Hand's Five Fingers could only work together to block. They stood together, channeling 'Qi' into their palms, then together erected an invisible 'Qi' shield. The shield, combining the 'Qi' of all five, indeed worked; the bullets from the Magnum Shooter 40X were deflected by this soft 'Qi' shield.

After two minutes of continuous firing, Ailer finally stopped shooting.

At this point, four of the Five Fingers showed signs of fatigue, with only Madame Gao, the seemingly oldest old woman, still appearing energetic.
