The Titan giant took a huge stride, its colossal foot slamming down with a thud.
Barry, seeing the danger, was the first to flee, and the other heroes scattered.
That giant foot stirred up waves; the Underworld spread like an ocean, and the shaken grit scattered like bullets, hitting the other war demons around.
Anyway, it didn't do much damage to the Justice League, but it was extremely lethal to its own teammates.
But those war demons didn't care; they were already dead, so at worst, they would just crawl out of the Underworld again.
There was a rogue-like feeling of "Impure World Reincarnation"; "you can't kill me anyway, so I'll just keep annoying you."
Clark's eyes shot heat vision, but no matter how many war demons he sliced in half, they would "resurrect" under the power of the Underworld's laws.
"We're already dead; you can't kill us a second time!" one of the Titan giants mocked him.
This left Superman completely helpless; no matter how strong he was, he couldn't kill someone who was already dead.
"Clark! Don't mind those small fries; focus on Ares."
Hearing someone call them "small fries," countless war demons turned their heads to look at the speaker, who was Dane.
Then this group of war demons swarmed towards him, one after another.
Dane was fearless; he threw people around like paintings. Any war demon he grabbed was effortlessly tossed away.
His hand, used as a blade, could easily cut flesh and break bones; his clenched fist could make his opponents' flesh and blood fly.
A Titan giant attempted to wrestle him, but he ignored the size difference between them, lifted the giant, and then threw him into the crowd, instantly crushing countless war demons.
Dane had already tried to use Kiss of Death, but this divine artifact, which had made him invincible in the human world, lost its effect here.
Because the souls of these guys already belonged to Hades, and their bodies were already dead.
Clark, being mortal, couldn't understand, but Dane saw it very clearly: the substance forming the bodies of these war demons was the Underworld soil, and its quantity here was almost infinite.
But Dane still had a way to deal with them.
The Gift of Life granted to him by Death allowed him to manipulate souls at will, and this ability was not restricted by any permissions.
In other words, even if these guys' souls belonged to Hades, Dane could still modify their souls.
So he grabbed one of the Titan giants and began to modify its soul.
At the same time, he had Diana and the others stall Ares, and he called Barry over.
"Barry Allen."
Barry, hearing the call, scurried over, as fast as a flash of lightning.
"You called me!"
Dane saw his extremely excited demeanor and felt that this young man was eager to serve, suitable as a tool... no, suitable as a helper, so he directly instructed him.
"Run around me and don't let other war demons disturb me!"
Barry agreed, then, under Little Flash's guidance, began to run around Dane and the Titan giant.
The wind he stirred up enveloped Dane and the Titan giant, forming an unbreakable wind barrier. Any war demon attempting to break through it was either blown away by the wind or zapped by lightning.
Ares didn't know what Dane wanted to do, but he knew that whatever the other party intended, he couldn't let him succeed.
But before he could act, Diana and the others charged forward.
"Ares!"
The moment Ares saw that face, he remembered his failure in the human world, and then he lost his temper.
"Little girl!"
He grinned menacingly and attacked with his axe. Both weapons were made of Eighth Metal, and Diana's round shield and godfire sword together barely managed to block Ares's force.
He seems to be getting stronger! Diana thought.
While Ares and Diana were locked in a struggle, Clark fired his heat vision at Ares's face.
Hal was not to be outdone; he manifested an energy weapon and blasted Ares with a green light ray.
Ares was temporarily held back.
After some effort, Dane also completed the modification of the soul under his control.
Then he grabbed Barry, who was so dazed from running that he didn't even react when he was lifted into the sky.
At the same time, Dane immediately warned the other members. Diana and the others directly abandoned Ares and turned to run.
Ares stood there alone, momentarily bewildered, but then he felt a violent power expanding among the war demons.
He merely glanced over there and then took off running as well.
The Titan giant, modified by Dane, swelled with huge bulges, and an ominous energy gathered within it, ready to unleash.
But the surrounding war demons didn't care, because they were still deluded by their immortality, thinking it was nothing serious.
The next moment, an earth-shattering explosion erupted within the Titan giant's body. The blinding flash stole everyone's vision, and the light swept over the bodies of all the war demons, taking them away without any pain.
All members of the Justice League, having left a step earlier, did not suffer any harm.
The Soul Annihilation Bomb had a range; it couldn't expand indefinitely, otherwise, wouldn't it be invincible?
However, judging by the soul quality of that Titan giant, eliminating war demons within a radius of several thousand miles around him was not a problem.
Moreover, Ares was also within its attack range; this one hit would be enough for him.
And the situation was as Dane expected: although Ares reacted in time, he was still a step too late and was hit by the aftershock of the Soul Annihilation Bomb.
His armor could defend against most physical and magic attacks, but for attacks on the soul level, the defense was not quite sufficient.
So this bomb successfully dissolved a part of his soul, greatly injuring him.
Even with a continuous supply of war energy, it couldn't compensate for his soul loss.
But Ares knew he could still turn to one person, so he endured the pain in his body and established a psychic link with someone in the Underworld.
"Persephone, quickly help me!"
Ares was actually one of Persephone's lovers... Shortly after he sent out his cry for help, the power of the Underworld transferred him to another location.
Ares's disappearance quickly caught Dane's attention, and he immediately had Cortana pinpoint Ares's location.
His battle-axe still had Dane's blood on it, so it was equivalent to having a tracker installed.
Cortana was very efficient, and she quickly found Ares's hiding place.
Dane and the others unanimously decided that they couldn't miss this opportunity to strike while the iron was hot.
"Can the teleporter be used here?" Clark asked.
"As long as it's within the same space, yes," Dane gave him an affirmative answer.
"Wait, what is this teleporter you're talking about?" Barry asked like a curious child.
Dane looked at him, smiling subtly, then poked his finger on his chest.
"It's this."
A current suddenly slipped into the lightning pattern on Barry's chest, activating the teleportation function.
"Teleportation function activated. 3, 2, 1..."
Little Flash's voice rang in Barry's ear, and he involuntarily shouted, "Wait!"
With a flash of light, Barry disappeared from his original spot.
Diana lightly tapped Dane: "Don't bully children."
"Barry would definitely not agree with your assessment of him." Dane first smiled at her, then said, "Let's hurry over too!"
In Lady of the Underworld Persephone's room, as her incantation ended, Ares's body arrived before her through magic.
"Ares, what happened to you?"
Persephone rushed to Ares's side, anxiously examining his injuries.
Ares's face was pale, with a hint of pain.
"My soul has been wounded, Persephone, quickly help me..."
Persephone immediately felt that it was very tricky. Soul injuries were extremely difficult to heal, let alone a god's damaged soul. Perhaps only a divine object equivalent to a golden apple could heal such a wound.
But those divine objects were stored in Hades' treasury, and she had just fallen out with Hades, so she couldn't access his treasury at all, leaving her helpless.
"How about you try consuming a departed soul?" Persephone tentatively suggested.
Directly consuming souls could also restore soul damage, but it would inevitably leave some sequelae.
If possible, no one would be willing to do this.
Because if things went wrong, one could become a neurotic with multiple personalities.
Ares also knew this point; he was somewhat hesitant.
Just then, Barry Allen was teleported here...
