The conference room felt colder than usual, even though the heaters were humming beneath the polished floor. Joon-hyuk stood at the head of the long table, hands in his pockets, expression carved from stone. Around him, the engineers and department heads were whispering, nervous, waiting for him to speak.
"Tell me everything," he finally said.
Chief Engineer Park cleared his throat and pushed a set of documents forward. "Sir… the UK team confirmed the batteries arrived damaged. But after we rechecked the CCTV and quality-control logs here, we discovered something."
He paused, swallowing.
"It wasn't the shipment."
Another engineer stepped in quietly. "The batteries were compromised before they left Korea."
For the first time, a flicker of something dark crossed Joon-hyuk's face.
"So you are telling me," he said slowly, "that the sabotage happened inside this company."
Silence fell so heavy that people shifted in their seats.
