"Along with keeping him alive, mind being a butler of sorts?"
Midas, really wanted his face back. The amount of emotions he wanted to convey were stacking upon each other just from that question alone, yet sighing he had to work with what he had.
"This had to of happened while we were asleep."
Ron quirked a brow, "I don't think-no, you're not answering the question I asked ."
Midas only continued, "Where did the energy to do this come from?"
Ron appeared right next to him knocking on his head, clear sharp sounds rang out which caused the boy to finally acknowledge him, "I heard you, let me just be a bit more agitated at that sleeping cloud with legs."
Midas said as he directed his sight at the boy, surrounded in his clothing.
Socks, and shirts surrounded the bed and we're thrown through out the floor. The pants were mainly on the bed including some jackets and a white dark stained turtle neck. Seeming to grin at the situation, the bag that used to hold all of this, lay wide open on the bed, next to the boy hugging the sweater.(Check sweater description)
Ron sniffed the air, he beamed, "He doesn't smell bad, doesn't he. He was reeking, happy he bathed."
Midas only nodded then turning to him gestured with a twirl of his finger, "I'll deal with this after I bathe, and change. You on the other hand, may you be so kind to make us breakfast and food to go. We are going to have a meet with new acquaintan–" then Midas paused and looked at Ron.
"What? Why are you looking me in such a way that."
Ron, chose to respond to the question with dragging his palm across his face, and groaning. Walking off to the kitchen.
'I like the kid, but the way he speaks reminds me of that formal talk, wait-!' then he paused in the middle of the sitting room.
"Wait, when did they get the time to set up a hangout?" Shrugging he tossed the thought aside. He knew they wouldn't get in to much terrible in this section of Sun Hit, but if they did they would easily take care of themselves, and it.
...
Null cried as he clutched on to the damp turtle neck, with his small hands, and tiny feet. He walked on to the road as his knees gave out in the middle of it, he heard something but he couldn't hear it... no, he couldn't remember what it sounded like, neither what colour the environment was.
The entire world was grey, except...
He looked down at the sweater, that his hands dug in to, and saw red.
A gunky, dark red.
Black, everything went black... at this point he just didn't know what to think anymore. Is he insane or not...
'Couldn't his mind make it up for him?'
He chuckled at the twisted form of the phrase.
'First came that blood stained nightmare of mine, then... I don't know... exactly. When did I get in the middle street back then? And the world was so... dull, no, Null.'
Now that was comforting. A world Null and void of colour, it's sad that it's all gone...
But, better than a mess.
..?
What was he thinking, when did he start thinking, like that... but how was he thinking?
Wasn't he asleep?
He raised his head, as he hug his legs...
Trees?
...
8:36 AM
His eyes shot open, as he gasped. He was cold, really cold. He started twitching, jerking and kicking everywhere.
Then his hands were grasped at the wrists,
"Olive!!"
Null looked at the golden surface of the skull, as the blue dots for pupils in Midas's cybernetic eyes stared into him.
Null looked around, he didn't recognize the scene for a little, then he remembered where he was, that caused his confusion.
He remembered he couldn't sleep, as he crawled off the bed and he digged through his bag, recklessly and grabbed on to the object he was looking for, as he through some of the clothes in an attempt to tidy up a bit. Falling asleep surrounded by his clothes.
But everything is, so tidy?
He then looked back at Midas who stared interestingly at his eyes, then retreating back off the bed. He held his arm behind him in a dignified manner.
"We best get going, after all we are meeting up with the guards."
Null, looked at him blankly, as he gained back his bearings his hair a mess, and his face marked with dried tears.
"Ya, ya... I remember, really-really, ya I do." Null said, the usual bite in his voice faint, but really right now, it's gone.
Then he scrunched his face as he looked at Midas, confusion painted all over his face, "Where did...ugh-" He groaned he thoughts clouding, "All that come from?"
Midas looked at himself and answered, "The closets."
Shaking his head he stood up, still hugging on to the turtle neck. He looked at the taller boy up and down.
Half of his face was covered by a tall collar frilly material on top, seeming to catch the light only in a way metal does. It was bronze if you only look at it, and that was all that Null would really do.
Then he wore a wide open sleeveless jacket, where the zip would be, was a frilly styled connection. The entirety of the jacket being black, including what was connected to the collar. He had a triangle plate that fit along the lining of the ribcage at his waist, if he knew his anatomy well. The plate was wrapped by white cloths, and then again with another that was thinner than the first.
Then black pants, that would belong to semi-formal suits, and descending from the waist was a bronze plate that curved around the back of his lower half down to the back of his knees, like cloth would.
And black shin high boots, then lastly his entire arms where gold and made with entire components that left gaps and pink tissue beneath.
Null stood there not really shocked or surprised.
Midas eyes gleamed in an excited way, "Don't I look exquisite, I'm just fabulous. I just adore how they able to manufacture metallic cloth in such a way, just brillian-!" Then Midas paused looking at the scrunched face of the boy.
'I forgot how similar these two can be, it seem my manner of speech really is that irregular.' Midas thought as he coughed into his fist.
"Sorry, I'll speak in simpler ways."
Null face twitched, "Are you tryna throw a stray at me?"
Midas paused looking at the boy expression and understood his plunder, "No-no-no, i thought you had a dislike with how i spoke."
Null tilted his head, "And why would I?"
Midas was caught off guard, normally this sharped tongued creature would normally from his experience, be hostile.
"Your Uncle, has adviced me about my speech."
Null's faced became more baffled on how that involves him.
"So my way of speak is... of no bother to you?" Midas asked skeptical at this.
"Ya, as long as you stay clear of, swearing and the vulgar stuff, I'm cool about it. After all that's just how you speak."
Midas sweat dropped at this, 'You insult me with a tongue as vulgar.' but even though he slightly bowed his head
"Thank you."
"What for?" Null asked, as he placed the turtle neck on the bed.
"You have been kinder than before, and I will take what ever kindness I may receive." Midas said, his dignified posture still present.
"No problem, you made a mess of me by kicking me off a building, and you cleaned a mess of mine, so I'll take it as us being even, after all i find it a drag to clean things."
Midas looked at this with surprise within, his offering peace. At this Midas felt relief, things will be less difficult.
"Thank you once more Olive."
"Call me Null, and let's not kill each other." Null said as he walked towards his bathroom.
Midas let out a dry chuckle "I'm surprised that you seem to have gained trust in me."
Paused, looking back at him, "I sure never said that. Because, don't really trust you, I trust my Uncle."
"Then what is the cause of this change of attitude?"
"Cause, I trust you." Null said casually. Midas tilted his head, confused as he didn't respond back.
Null, scoffed and chuckled at this, "I needed that."
Understanding his been mislead, Midas set his head straight and sarcastically laughed.
"Okay okay, let me explain." Null said, "My Uncle doesn't trust people randomly, so if he trusts you, I'll trust you."
Intrigued Midas asked, "How do you know he trusts me?"
"He left you alone with me, defenseless me, asleep in bed." Then pausing he smiled, a toothy smile, "Then again, that might not be what makes me so sure he trusts you. Although I do know what sort of people he trusts... people he knows."
Midas felt a slight chill in him, while staring at this boy. What sort of child was he?
He opened the door and stepped in, "So ask yourself, my golden companion. How much does he know about you... that you haven't told?"
Click
He closed the door
"..."
Then the door slightly creaked open.
"Also you look ominous with half your face covered, but you do look cool though.
Click
The door closed.
Midas stood there, A bit troubled by Oli-no Null's words.
But, he chose to ponder on them somewhere else, leaving the room.
...
9:23
Null exited his room, with white gray, baggy clothing. Designs of the moon and night were across the entire outfit, with black and blue running shoes.
His white hair with faded light blue tones at the ends of it, regained it's puff and spread in all directions, slightly shadowing his face.
He grinned, "Oh no, I'm wearing things against this cities themes, I do wonder what will they do?"
His smile grew playful, "Nothing."
He walked into the kitchen his nose catching on to a nice aroma.
Then he saw Midas place three containers in a small bag. He took a plate off the table, and placed it in the sink as he then pointed at another plate with food in it.
"Breakfast. Also the soilder left me with access to the apartment, he'll be late." Midas said as he washed his plate with a swiftness.
Null sat down and ate, scrabbled eggs and four slices of toasted bread with nuts in it, and pieces of the meat that they ate yesterday was on the side, with a cup of water.
He, slowly took bite after bite, the previous hunger gone.
"Been a while, since I've eaten something healthy." He mumbled to himself.
"No wonder you're so small." Midas said, putting away his dish.
"Maybe, I guess... being related to that behemoth, I see why you might think the food I eat caused my ever present vertical challenge." Null said with a joking tone.
Midas turned around, "Than what caused this challenge of yours?"
He chuckled, "Stressful life, stunted my growth maybe." He shrugged, "But, really I don't know. Though the real question is, why are you looking at me like that?" A knowing smile growing on his face, "Something catch your eye?"
Midas, sat down. When will he be able to scrutinize Null, when he got his face? He truly hopes so.
"Null."
"Yes?"
"You act like a child." Midas said
Null playful demeanor growing, "I'm fourteen, what were you expecting?" He chuckled nearing the end.
Midas let out a sigh, "Apologies if my assumption is insulting in anyway."
"It'll take a lot of effort, to insult me."
Midas paused looking at the clearly grinning boy, "Do you seek to aggravate this cities people? If so, i don't think many people will be angered by your attire."
The novelty of this conversation gave Null's mood a boost that he needed. Did it come at the expense of others? Sure did, did he care?
Before answering that question, here's another, does he know them enough to care?
And to both of those questions, the answer is no.
"Well than,my gold companion," He stood, grabbing his plate, and swiftly so, placed it in the sink. "Let's put it to the test."
Excitement bubbling in him.
