Chapter 114 - Chapter 114 More Money Is Needed!

"That's called the power of the Nine Tails," Naruto said casually. "I originally gave you the little Nine Tails so you could try to use its power under Jiraiya's guidance."

He sighed. "Forget it, you don't know anything about this anyway. But I didn't expect that even Jiraiya didn't value the power of the Nine Tails. That's really disappointing..."

Even after Naruto's reminder, Jiraiya stiffly replied, "That little Nine Tails is only the size of a palm. What kind of power could it possibly have?"

Naruto shook his head and said, "The little Nine Tails' chakra will keep growing stronger until it returns to its peak state."

"What?!" Jiraiya's eyes widened in surprise. "It seems I really was careless."

Seeing one of the Three Legendary Sannin admit his mistake was almost unbelievable to Sasuke and Sakura.

After all, their teachers were Sannin themselves—Sasuke's mentor was Jiraiya, and Sakura's teacher was Tsunade. They both knew just how powerful and respected the Sannin were.

Even the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, had begged Jiraiya to become the next Hokage—but Jiraiya refused. Then he asked Tsunade, who also turned him down at first.

The fact that such people could reject the position of Hokage—the leader of one of the Five Great Ninja Villages—only showed how legendary the Sannin truly were.

And yet, here was Jiraiya, admitting fault in front of Naruto.

It made Sasuke and Sakura question reality itself.

Were they really the same age as Naruto?

Naruto scratched his head and said, "Forget it. I didn't plan to let you guide the Jinchūriki anyway."

"Nani?" Jiraiya blinked. "What's that supposed to mean, kid? You think you're more qualified to teach disciples than me?"

Naruto shook his head. "I don't know how to teach disciples at all. In that sense, you're definitely better than me. But when it comes to tailed beasts... I might know a bit more than you."

Jiraiya nodded quickly, unwilling to embarrass himself in front of his students.

Naruto then turned to Sakura and asked, "Sakura-chan, have you met that big-breasted woman?"

Jiraiya: "..."

Sasuke: "..."

Hearing this, Sakura's expression turned awkward, but she still replied honestly, "Yes, and I've already become her disciple."

That's right—Sakura had successfully become Tsunade's student, using the "method" Naruto had told her about.

The scene back then went like this:

Tsunade crossed her arms under her chest and smirked. "Why should I accept you as my disciple?"

Boom!

Sakura slammed her suitcase onto the table, opened it, and revealed stacks of cash. She said sincerely, "This is my tuition for the year."

Tsunade's expression shifted, and she covered her mouth in surprise. "Ahem~ Even so, I can't just accept you as my disciple. I am one of the Sannin, you know!"

Sakura frowned. "Really? Then what do I need to do to become your disciple?"

At that moment, she thought of Naruto's advice: "You must become her apprentice. Otherwise, you'll never be able to grow stronger."

Tsunade thought for a moment, then said, "Show me your chakra control and talent. Let me see if you're worth teaching."

She paused, her cheeks reddening slightly. "Also... one more condition."

Sakura bowed respectfully. "Please, tell me."

Tsunade coughed and said firmly, "You'll have to... pay extra!"

Sakura: "..."

And just like that, Sakura became Tsunade's disciple.

Naruto nodded in satisfaction after hearing Sakura's story.

Good. Everything was going as he expected.

He patted her shoulder and said, "Sakura, train hard in the Strength of a Hundred Technique. Once you've mastered it, I'll get you a little Nine Tails to play with."

Jiraiya, who was eavesdropping: "..."

What the hell is this kid saying?

Is he... wholesaling tailed beasts now?

After all, that kind of thing was absurd!

Who sells tailed beasts wholesale?!

And the Nine Tails, of all things—the strongest of them all!

But then again...

Naruto was too mysterious for him to question further.

Meanwhile, Sasuke, impatient as ever, asked, "Naruto, how can we control the power of the Nine Tails?"

Seeing Sasuke's serious expression, Naruto finally remembered what he wanted to teach him.

"Oh, that's simple," Naruto said. "All you need is for the Nine Tails inside you to willingly lend you its chakra. Then, you absorb that chakra with your own will, and you'll be able to enter the Nine Tails Mode."

So that golden glow was the Nine Tails Mode? Jiraiya thought, rubbing his chin.

But the tailed beast has to willingly lend its chakra—that wouldn't be easy.

The hatred between tailed beasts and humans can't be solved overnight.

Especially for something like the Nine Tails, who's been sealed and abused by humans for decades.

Could Naruto really communicate with a tailed beast so peacefully?

Minato's son was becoming more and more of a mystery to him.

As Naruto expected, Sasuke asked again how to control the power.

So Naruto explained it in detail:

First, the Nine Tails must willingly lend its chakra.

Then, the Jinchūriki must let the beast release control of that chakra.

Finally, the user must act according to their true heart and merge that chakra into their own to enter Nine Tails Mode.

Sasuke frowned. That sounded far too complicated.

But Naruto smiled. "Don't worry, Sasuke. Since I gave you the little Nine Tails, I won't let it cause you trouble."

Then, Naruto raised his hand and undid the seal on Sasuke's abdomen. He looked at the little Nine Tails and said, "Hey, are you willing to lend your chakra to Sasuke?"

Little Nine Tails: "Ha! Who do you think I am, your pet?"

Kurama's deep voice echoed inside: "You better act like a pet, or I'll absorb you completely."

Little Nine Tails: "Damn it... I... I will..."

Jiraiya, Sasuke: "..."

Naruto nodded, satisfied. "Good. Then there's only one problem left to solve."

"It's a perfect time to test my illusion technique."

"Illusion? Test?" Sasuke repeated nervously, instinctively stepping back.

Naruto frowned. "What? Do I really look that scary?"

Sasuke replied seriously, "Yes. Very scary."

Ever since he learned more from Jiraiya, Sasuke had realized one thing—Naruto was not a normal person.

Any genjutsu Naruto used was bound to be terrifying.

And that alone was enough to make Sasuke wary.
