Lara:
When I arrived home, Markus was in the backyard smoking. Kash and I saw him, but we did not bother him. I guessed Kash was really ashamed that his wife had done that to him.
Lady Vivian was anxiously waiting in the living room. The traumatic part was that both the children were sleeping on the couches.
I assumed that was why she was sitting there, keeping an eye on them.
The moment we entered the living room, my mood soured at the sight of the kids. They were so dramatic.
If they were that tired, they could have gone to their room and slept, but no. They had to act as if they were completely alone without their mother.
Lady Vivian instantly stood up and reached for Kash, but her eyes dropped to the papers in his hand.
"I'll be in my room," Kash uttered, rolling the papers and slipping them into the back pocket of his coat before leaning down to pick up Amy and Colin from the couch.
