Lara:
"That is it. That is the best punishment for her. Throw her in the mountain prison. She should realize that all the favors she got were because of you, because you were in love with her," his mother urged.
Zoe began to nod in agreement.
"You cannot take my children away from me," Iris uttered softly.
"Why not? You're not a good mother anyway. You're more focused on the men around you than your children," I said, stepping in to support Kash and approve his punishment.
That would be the best for her.
If she were thrown into prison, she would still have food, a place to sleep, and no more people to fool and manipulate. Isolation was better.
She would have to wash clothes in that small room. The warriors would bring her wood to cut and endless chores, just to earn the basic necessities of eating and sleeping. It was perfect.
I knew those punishments were harsh. When tasks were not completed immediately, the warriors would not even let her sit.
