Kash:
I had been absent-minded the entire day. All I could think about was facing that monster again. Last time, I tricked her. This time, she would be aware.
Flashback.
"You need to cover your face," I told Lara as we stepped through the cave toward the tunnel leading to the blue river.
"Why? Is everything okay?" Lara questioned, looking slightly confused while holding a weapon in her hand.
I had told her that once we took the water, some kind of monster would come out. I never told her that I was actually in contact with the monster, or that it had spoken to me.
"Just do as I am saying, please," I requested.
She gave a very faint nod and then covered her mouth.
When we reached the opening, I held her hand and pulled her back.
"What is it?" she asked, still looking confused.
"Wear this for me," I told her, handing her earplugs.
"I don't understand, Kash. What is going on? Why are you making me do all these things?" she questioned, fixing her eyes on me.
