After his confession, the children seemed to surround him and refused to sleep.
Every little while, I had to remind them that they needed to sleep and that we had to wake up early for the office in the morning.
Each time, they said the same thing, that they wanted to talk to their father for a little longer and that they wanted to hear a bedtime story from him.
By now, Kash must have told them at least five bedtime stories. Finally, I had to put my foot down.
I told them that if anyone did not sleep now, Kash would not be allowed in this room tomorrow.
After that, both of them went quiet, closed their eyes, and fell asleep almost instantly. I knew they were forcing themselves to stay awake.
Then Kash and I sat on the bed together that was added later for me.
"I know something is going on in your mind," Kash remarked.
He had changed his clothes. He was now wearing a black shirt and black shorts.
