Jugo watched as Orochimaru became so excited that his tongue slipped out of his mouth.

His lips trembled fiercely, imagining that Orochimaru was probably a lesbian's dream.

The irony is that if he actually uses the face of his current body, he might actually acquire that title.

What no one noticed was that the Sound Team Jonin left shortly after Sasuke and Kakashi.

The next fight was soon announced. Jugo watched calmly as the pairs were selected, curious as to what would happen next. It had been a long time since he'd seen this, and he could remember who fought whom, but the order? Sorry, I forgot.

When the screen stopped, he was surprised, it wasn't a fight from the original!

-Aburame Shino vs. Kinuta Dosu. - Jugo read lightly, his eyes narrowing as he glanced at Dosu beside him.

Dosu didn't know who his opponent was, but he didn't care.

Jugo liked the quiet but helpful Dosu, so he gave him some pointers. - The boy from the Aburame clan, he uses insects. Insects can absorb chakra and are good at sneaking up on you. If he plants a female in you, you won't be able to hide from him.

Dosu paused slightly, looked at him with calm but slightly narrowed eyes, and nodded, then walked away with his funny gait.

Kin looked at Dosu without caring. There was no such thing as companionship between them. At most, she would worry about Jugo because she was interested in him, but Dosu was just a designated companion.

She just watched him leave.

Jugo watched the pair arrive at the center of the field with some interest. It was a completely new battle, opening up new possibilities.

-Are you ready? - Hayate asked again.

-Yes. - Shino agreed and Dosu simply nodded, still staring at Shino with his one eye.

-Begin. - Hayate jumped away.

Shino still had his hands in his pockets, Dosu pulled up the long sleeve on his right arm to reveal the sonic gauntlet on his arm.

-You know, if it were another opponent, you'd have a very wide advantage. - Dosu commented, as Shino rolled up his sleeves, insects quickly escaping. - But unfortunately, you met me.

The next moment, Shino's eyes widened over his sunglasses.

The insects under his control went crazy, flying around, disobeying orders, staying as far away from Dosu as possible.

-I created this trick simply to keep insects away. These pests are truly annoying in nature. You're the first Aburame I've faced, but... what bad luck.- Dosu shook his head as he explained. -You can't hear anything right now, but insects hate high-frequency sounds the most, which I'm constantly emitting now.

Hearing this, Shino frowned even deeper. Jugo, on the other hand, wasn't sure whether he was impressed to find Shino in such an unfortunate situation or impressed that no one seemed surprised by Dosu rambling on about his abilities instead of concluding the fight.

-It's really your bad luck to meet me... - Dosu began to speak, but the voice behind him stopped him.

-Dosu, get this over with. - Jugo seemed frustrated with the logic of combat in this world. It's no wonder Naruto can win using his mouth so often. If they stopped talking and started punching more, the villains would have already won.

Everyone in the hall looked at Jugo who looked unhappy, frowning faces, including Dosu, who began to sweat a little thinking that if Jugo got really mad, he might end up getting his head blown off. He turned to Shino again and stopped talking, advancing directly.

Shino, who relied on insects, discovered he could no longer control them, so he had to rely on his taijutsu.

Compared to ordinary genin, his taijutsu was still quite good, but Dosu focused on direct combat with the aid of sound. Without his insects, even if he dodged, he was still attacked.

Just as Jugo thought, Shino dodged, only to fall soon after, clutching his head in pain.

Normally, Dosu would have given a speech by now, but sensing Jugo's angry eyes behind him, he simply punched Shino in the head.

Shino not only took the blow head-on, but the sound paralyzed and hurt him even more. Even his ears were bleeding, and his glasses were broken.

In the end, after that punch, he passed out.

Dosu wanted to finish the job, but Hayate appeared with a hand on his shoulder. - Enough, you win.

Kurenai also seemed close to moving, frowning, taking a deep breath to calm herself.

Hinata looked very worried and Kiba gritted his teeth tightly. Akamaru was already covering his ears with his paws, whimpering. The sound also irritated him. Kiba picked him up and calmly comforted him.

Inside, Kiba was also thankful that it wasn't him facing Dosu, Akamaru would be knocked out by the low frequency sound and he himself was a Taijutsu ninja, making him a poor match against Dosu.

Dosu looked at Hayate, then at Jugo, who simply indicated that he should come back. Then he dropped his sleeve and turned, walking slowly away.

-Damn it, that bandaged guy! You really wanted to kill him, didn't you?! Bastard! - Naruto yelled angrily at Dosu. Dosu only glared at him briefly before ignoring him.

-Damn it, don't ignore me! - Naruto yelled, ready to run, but Sakura hit him in the head.

-Naruto, you idiot! Shut up! - Sakura yelled furiously.

The entire group, whether ninjas from Konoha or other villages, seemed accustomed to the noisy Team 7, so no one paid much attention to their antics.

Hayate watched Dosu's departing figure with narrowed eyes, but eventually the medical team rushed to help and Team 8 also descended, worried about Shino. Fortunately, he was okay and aside from a bit of ear pain for a while, he would recover soon.

Dosu stopped behind Jugo. Kin looked at him and nodded slightly. Dosu was still afraid Jugo would get angry because he talked too much.

During his time with Jugo, he realized something about him, the man, when mad, loves to kill, but he never prolongs it. Deaths are usually quick and those he killed suffered little.

So, Dosu, after hearing Jugo's angry voice, did things as he thought Jugo would, to lessen the guilt.

He grew closer to Jugo during this time, but he didn't think they were friends, acquaintances at most and Jugo wouldn't kill him easily.

But if he were angry? He had no way to defend himself, his sound would only anger him more, but it wouldn't paralyze him. Orochimaru wouldn't even change his expression if he found out, so for him, Jugo couldn't be offended.

Jugo was thinking that Konoha really didn't know much about them, which is why he made this choice. Another bad choice for Shino would be Temari, with her jutsu, the insects would suffer more.

Zaku also used wind, but his was much more focused, relying on the tubes in his hands. Temari used a Wind Fan, Shino couldn't easily affect her.

If it were in a forested environment, Shino could use the terrain to fight, but in a cramped arena? He'd be screwed.

Of course, it was unexpected that Dosu would be such a powerful counter to the Aburame clan ninjas. Jugo also thought Dosu wasn't bad, he was quite talented with sound jutsu. If he survived the two-stage curse mark, he might even become a Jonin, enough to be useful.

Kin, on the other hand, would have a very hard time reaching that level.

Jugo stopped paying attention to them as he stared at the screen that had appeared again, beginning to select the next candidates.

Konoha suffered a loss this time. Shino was truly a great asset, calm, strong and strategic, but due to a lack of information, he fell short of the third round.

-Third round, Tsurugi Misumi vs. Kankuro. - Hayate said lightly.
