Louise hadn't anticipated things spiraling this badly.
None of this matched her original intentions. The confrontation shouldn't have turned so chaotic, so explosive, so completely unmanageable.
She'd sought answers, certainly, but not through this approach. Not with Davina appearing as though every drop of vitality had been drained from her being.

Davina appeared completely paralyzed. Her stare was vacant and glassy, completely detached, as though her spirit had abandoned her physical form.
