Toronto, Canada.
There was an outdoor ice rink in the middle of the city. On this ice rink were children with their parents, lovers, siblings, friends, and finally solo acts. One of these solo acts was Hiraya, who donned a light pink winter coat. She skated near a family of three, listening to the laughter of the child holding on to his parents' hands.
"Ice Skating."
Her solo cruise was interrupted by a man appearing beside her. Hiraya looked at Amadi, who casually skated beside her.
"Aren't you cold?"
Amadi was wearing a normal T-shirt and joggers. He didn't look dressed for the occasion.
"Not at all."
Amadi grabbed Hiraya's hand and pulled her along as they skated together.
"If I remember correctly, our first date was at an ice rink like this one."
"If by ice rink you mean the frozen Gulf of Mexico, then that's right."
He let out a low chuckle and lifted her hand overhead. She gracefully twirled on her skates before falling into his embrace.
"I wanted your first time skating to be special. Forgive me for being a romantic."
She pushed him off.
"For someone who claimed to have only been in a relationship with me, you're quite the charmer."
"What can I say? I'm my father's son."
The two resumed skating while still holding hands.
"So, is this a date?"
Hiraya asked in a teasing tone. Amadi brought her hand to his lips and placed a kiss.
"It's a meeting between the two most heinous criminals."
Hiraya flashed a sly smile.
"So, a date then."
Amadi said nothing and just smiled.
After nearly an hour of skating, the two sat on a bench watching everybody else.
"So, the Church made contact with you as well?"
Amadi nodded.
"They killed a politician who was trying to play the Albrecht."
He wore a dry smile.
"He was punished for his sins."
He looked over at Hiraya.
"And you?"
"Yamaguchi, a politician who was feeding me info on the Japanese government. After his death, we discovered that he was working as a double agent for the Chinese government."
"So, he sold the Chinese info about you and got punished for it."
Amadi laughed.
"What competent fanatics we have. They want to protect us from all troubles, forgetting we can protect ourselves."
"An annoying bunch."
Hiraya didn't hide her disgust.
"So what are we going to do? Destroy them again?"
Hiraya looked at Amadi.
"Isn't that the natural course of action?"
"Yeah, but we can't find them, remember?"
"Then we just ask the Deus Machina for help."
"......."
"......."
The two sat in for nearly a minute before confusion covered their faces.
"Mishma?"
Amadi spoke but got no reply.
"What the hell? She would normally pop up being annoying by now."
"I'm not annoying."
Mishma's voice echoed in their mind.
"Now you want to answer."
"Sorry, Hiraya. I'm kinda busy at the moment. Also, I won't help you find the church. I enjoy their praises."
"Bullshit. You had no problem selling them out the last time."
"True, Amadi. However, the situation is different this time."
"How different?"
Hiraya asked.
"They're going to be a great source of entertainment in the near future."
"What the hell are you...Where are you and what are doing now?"
"Me?"
Copenhagen, Denmark.
Mishma was sitting on a floating sofa overlooking the burning city underneath.
He smiled.
"I'm just taking in another source of entertainment."
Kismet was in a vicious battle for survival against waves of Villains rushing them without fear.
"Coincidentally, they're also the reason why I won't give up the church."
His smile turned into an excited grin.
"Put two forms of entertainment together and you're bound to get a party."
"Ohhhh!"
Below, Impactor let out a roar after smashing his fist in a giant's face. The giant was blasted into a building. Several Villains rushed him from all directions. They all hit an invisible wall before reaching him. Impactor smirked and stepped in with quick punches. Bones breaking reaching his ears as the Villains were taken out. Impactor spun around and gave a thumbs up.
"Thanks, Batu!"
Batu was moving through the battlefield coordinating with his teammates as they fought, creating invisible shields to protect them. Villains who were aware of how he operated tried to stop him.
"Dammit! How is this guy so fast and agile with that body?!"
However, they were nowhere near successful.
"Ahhh!"
Belinha fired flames from her palms and mouth. The flames torched the thugs but many villains were able to withstand them.
"The Villains here are tougher than those in Aarhus. Is it because this is the capital?"
The flames around her changed from a bright orange to an ominous scarlet.
"Batu, I'm going to use my Blood Flames. So, you can go on the offensive."
Batu stopped and cracked his knuckles.
"Roger."
He blasted off the ground causing asphalt to fly. He flew at an enormous two-head tiger clenching his fist. The monster swung it's claws while he pulled his arm back. With a thrust of his fist the air shook as the tiger's claws were blown to bits.
"Did you know?"
He kicked the air and flew behind the wailing monster.
"Sometimes offence is the best defence."
He forced the tiger's body into a crater with a punch to the spine. He landed on the monster's twisted body and faced a horde of gigantic enemies.
"This is why I've made sure to train my body to the limit. So, I can achieve every form of defence possible."
Elsewhere, the battles were turning more intense by the second.
"Die, Twin Shits!"
A group of Villains fired beams and flames at Mira and Kira, who they backed into a corner. The earth came alive and formed a giant wall to block the attacks.
"Wha?!"
The ground trembled as giant warriors emerged from the earth wielding weapons to match. The warriors swung down their weapons on the Villains. The city trembled under their force.
"What the hell are those things?!"
Before the Villains could react, there were nearly a dozen of these giant warriors attacking in every direction. Dust clouds covered the area and the thundering noise of the monstrous strikes could be heard across the city.
"Wait, is this that earth girl's technique? The one she used against Alala!"
"You're right!"
"Find and kill her and these things will—"
Lasers pierced through a Villain's body riddling him with holes.
"Kill who?"
Mikel walked out of the dust clouds with orbs of light floating around him. His face darkened in contrast to orbs around him.
"Only you bastards will die today."
The orbs scattered across the area raining down lasers on enemies without mercy. Mikel walked towards the Villain, beating down any thugs in his path with his bare hands. The Villain looked up at him with blurry vision. Mikel silently slammed his fist in his chest and a beam burst out the Villain's back. Mikel moved his mouth to the Villain's ear.
"Some jokes you just don't make."
He threw the Villain aside and continued to fight enemies who were approaching him.
At the same time, silhouettes were moving through the dust clouds engulfing the area.
"Ahh!"
Screams reached the Villains ears. Sometimes far, sometimes close. They all sent chills down the spines of those who heard them.
"Fuck this!"
A few Villains with flying abilities chose to flee to the skies.
"Wrong decision."
A whisper entered an ear that was soon removed from its owner's body along with their head. Mira held onto the body that was beginning to fall before leaping to her next target. She fired flames from nozzles that appeared at her soles. She flew at the fleeing Villains cutting them apart with blinding speed. Bodies fell from the sky and hit the ground with a thud.
"What the hell?!"
Meanwhile, those on the ground were still being hunted in the cloak of the dust clouds. Several Villains came together and blew the dust away using their abilities. With the clouds gone, Kira appeared with his arm in shape of a cannon like weapon.
"Is that a fucking Railgu—"
A bright flashed and the dozens of enemies were devoured with a roar. Buildings were pierced with metals, glass, and concrete melting in the aftermath.
"Before we came here, we were told that we're in a war for supremacy."
Kira walked with guns and cannons growing from his body.
"So how would it look if we who were gathered to defeat the Calamities struggle against some no name Villains?"
Chest tightened as the sound of his weapons warming up entered their ears.
"It would be comically, wouldn't it?"
Blasts fired at the Villains causing a ring of explosions. Kira's face remained stoic as the explosion reflected in his eyes.
"Mira…No, Kismet must become the Kings of this era."
Copenhagen burning landscape had become a land of savagery as Kismet fought ruthlessly against their enemies. The one causing the most damage with her group of giant warriors was Bojana.
"Not bad. You guys are handling this chaos better than I hoped."
She found herself sitting on a floating sofa across from Mishma. The two were overlooking the battlefield far from everyone's reach.
"W-Why did you bring me here?"
She spoke with a trembling voice.
"Well, just got a bit curious while watching you and your team fight."
"About what?"
Mishma smiled.
"Why are you restricting your own growth?"
Bojana remained silent.
"As I thought, you're aware of your true strength."
Mishma chuckled and glanced down on Kira.
"You're the opposite of that guy who willingly hides in his sister's shadow."
He looked back at Bojana.
"So, let me guess...You hate violence?"
Bojana nodded.
"I figured as much."
Mishma stood up and walked in the air.
"You who hate violence but possess great strength chose to walk the brutal path of an Hero. And why?"
He stopped in front of Bojana who was looking down. He lifted her chin with his hand.
"The answer is love, right?"
Bojana remained silent and he let go of her chin.
"It's always love or hate. The greatest of all cliches."
He showed a bright smile.
"But I can't get tired of it."
He turned his back to Bojana.
"I've moved all the citizens in this city to Aarhus when I switched you guys."
"Huh?"
Mishma walked back to his seat and sat down.
"That's why you haven't gone wild like the rest of your team, right? You're worried about how much innocent lives you'll take."
He waved his hand dismissively.
"Don't worry about that and run wild. I'm sure it will be fun cutting loose for once."
"........"
"Still can't do it, huh? You really dislike violence."
Mishma burst out laughing.
"But!"
His laugh was cut short by Bojana sudden outburst.
"But, if I have to then I will."
Mishma looked at her for a bit before frowning.
"Hey, hey. What kind of monster do you take me for? I'm not going to bring the civilians back here to force you to do anything."
"You won't?"
Mishma sighed.
"I moved them as an apology for interrupting your mission. I didn't mention them to use as bargaining chip."
"...I see. My apologies."
"It's fine, it's fine."
Mishma was once again dismissive. He snapped his fingers and Bojana appeared on the shoulder of one of her warriors.
"Do as you like, Bojana. Whether you continue to limit yourself because of your morals or throw them away to truly fight against your friends, it's up to you."
Mishma's voice played in her head.
"Either way, you will suffer. All of Kismet will."
She swore she could her Mishma form a grin.
"And I'll be there watching every bloodstained step you take."
