Damien has been the typical popular guy since elementary school. Dark hair, big blue eyes, charming smile- but it wasn't just apperance. He is always collected and calm, funny, athletic, friends with everyone. Then, he saw her. A quiet girl who was always studying science.
His friends warned him about Juno. How she was either possessed by a demon or was a monster or whatever.
But when he looked in her eyes from a distance, he didn't see a monster. He saw shinning rubies. Elegant, reserved, and pure.
He soon became infatuated with those ruby eyes. Developing only one could assume is a crush. That was sixth grade.
Currently he was sitting in math class. A average day, except he heard the announcement.
"Would Juno Kanlian please go to the front office."
His eyes widened. Why did Juno, the quietest girl in class, the girl who didn't do anything wrong, need to go to the front office? What did his Juno do to deserve this?!
The question weighed on his mind the whole rest of the school day. He was worried. He logically, shouldn't be. He never even had a good conversation with Juno. But love could make you loose sight of reason. So, he decided he had every right to be worried. Not just for his classmate, but for the one he loved.
But then, he got hit with news the next day.
There was a brief announcement on Juno, and how she will no longer be in school.

Damien dropped his pencil. There was no way… right? After he was so close… He planed to talk to her. To tell her everything. How much he cared and loved her. And then she just… left? So suddenly? No goodbye, no notice, no nothing?!
There had to be a mistake. Surely she wouldn't just leave the school randomly and transfer elsewhere. Right?…
Sure she wasn't athletic, or talked much, or never looked anyone in the eye, or seemed to really have many friends if at all or-…
Oh. Yeah, he can see why she'd want to transfer. But why now? Mid semester. That, caught his attention.
He did some digging and some asking around and he learned the truth. She was scouted out by the hero agency. The H.A.U. The best in the world.
At first, he was happy for her. Someone else besides him could see her for her hard work and dedication. And then, he was jealous. He should've been the one to acknowledge her work and findings! He should have done it first!
But then he remembered, he never told her how he felt. How he secretly loved those ruby eyes. How he missed her presence. How the science room left empty after school now that she's gone. And now? It was too late…
Over time, Damien grew to become colder. More isolated. Drowning in self-grief and anger. If only he hadn't wait to admit how he felt. Then maybe. Maybe. He could have talked to her more. To learn more about her. For her to learn about him too. But now that seemed like a far off fantasy.
One evening he was at home, doing homework with the tv on in the background. His family may be wealthy, but emotionally? Never around. So, Damien was often home alone, like tonight.
The tv had the usual sounds. News, advertisements, Ect. But then there was breaking news. It turned on. A fight in the city. The hero agency sent one of their heroes to handle a robbery.
Damien turned to the tv. He typically didn't like that type of news. Meant more property damage and people getting hurt while even being just by-standers. However he started thinking.
"… If she's a hero… that would mean…"
He smirked. It was so unlike him. Yet it felt so right if a plan. If she was going to be a hero, then Juno would need a good villain to make her shine. So, that's what he decided to do.
Damien would become the worlds most powerful villain. All for her. And no one can change his mind.
