Chapter 240 - Second Haunting Memory Of A Supreme Paragon (7-Final)

With eyes laced with exhaustion, Michael made his way towards a special place. His hand firmly gripped the remains of the slain Titan, leaving a bloody trail in its wake.

"I am back."

A soft sigh escaped his lips. When he lifted his gaze, it landed on a beautiful tree stretching several hundred meters. Its branches curved gracefully to one side, casting a gentle shade beneath which two white stones with engraved patterns rested.

This was the humble spot Michael had chosen to bury Nicole and their unborn daughter.

As warriors of humanity, they had discussed what they wanted to be done with their bodies when they fell in battle. It was an unpleasant consideration, though a necessary one, as the lives of soldiers were often extinguished at a moment's notice without any kind of warning.

Nicole's wish was roughly the same as Michael's.
