Over the next few days, Peter felt that his life had more or less returned to its original state.
He spent an entire day creating a large-scale spider network that connected to public surveillance cameras throughout the streets and alleys of the Earth-1610B universe, and even integrated it with many public facilities.
As long as Spot appeared, raising an alert would be no problem at all.
However, during this period, Spot never showed up.
Still, the spider surveillance network wasn't useless.
With its help, Peter could obtain information about crimes occurring across the city much more quickly. He could then choose to notify the police, or send himself, Spider-Gwen, or Miles—one or two of them—to handle the situation.
This highly efficient crackdown on crime noticeably improved public safety across the whole of New York.
Moreover, because Peter had changed the design of his suit, many people began to wonder:
Had the former Spider-Man returned?
But no one dared to confirm it.
After all, the death of Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, had happened more than a year ago—and it had been witnessed by many people.
So for now, the news remained nothing more than a rumor.
Just wishful thinking from some of Spider-Man's most devoted fans.
They hoped Spider-Man could come back to life—no matter the reason.
However, this rumor triggered a chain reaction.
The most direct result was that Peter and Spider-Gwen's hiding place was discovered by Aunt May.
In truth, it had never been something that could stay hidden for long.
After the blond Peter died, Aunt May rarely came down into the underground Spider-Cave because she was afraid that seeing those things would remind her too much of him.
But she couldn't ignore the place completely.
So every once in a while, she would come down to do some cleaning, preventing the equipment and collections her nephew had left behind from gathering dust.
In addition, Peter had previously told her—while posing as the blond Spider-Man—that he had "come back to life." That lie had left a small spark of hope in her heart.
So when she saw the rumor online, she immediately rushed home, went down into the underground Spider-Cave, and came face-to-face with Peter.
Facing an excited yet cautious Aunt May, Peter hesitated for a long time before finally deciding to tell the truth.
He admitted that he was actually Peter from another world—and that the one who had met her a year ago had also been him.
At that time, he simply couldn't bear to see her so heartbroken, so he told that lie.
Looking back, he realized he had been immature, and that his actions might have hurt her.
But Aunt May told him that if he hadn't told that lie back then—if he hadn't given her even a small hope that her nephew might come back to life—she didn't know what would have become of her.
She might have sunk into endless grief over a white-haired elder burying her golden-haired child.
She might have lost hope in life entirely.
In short, the outcome certainly wouldn't have been good.
So not only did Aunt May not blame Peter, she even expressed gratitude toward him.
And when Peter told her that he had discovered the blond Spider-Man—her real nephew—was currently undergoing a resurrection procedure and would be revived in at most a month, Aunt May was so excited she nearly jumped up.
After confirming it again and again, she was so overwhelmed that she almost fainted.
At that point, any trace of doubt she had toward Peter completely vanished.
If there had been a custom here like becoming sworn brothers, Aunt May would probably have dragged the blond Spider-Man and Peter together to swear brotherhood once he was revived.
From the way she treated Peter afterward, it was clear she had truly begun to see him as her own nephew.
And not simply because Peter currently occupied her nephew's body.
Peter even felt that this Aunt May treated him better than his own Aunt May back in his world!
Spider-Gwen also got to enjoy, for once, the warmth and care of an elder.
Perhaps that was what happened after something lost was found again—you learned to cherish it more.
It was only human nature.

Aside from that, the rest of Peter's life really wasn't much different from before.
Whenever there was nothing going on, he would let Spider-Gwen watch over things here while he left only a small strand of consciousness inside the blond Spider-Man's body.
His main consciousness would return to his own world to continue his research.
But after several days without progress, Peter suddenly came up with an idea.
He decided to visit Stephen Strange.
As someone who had once studied magic, Peter had spent time reading in the library of the Sanctum Sanctorum and had seen quite a bit of knowledge normally reserved for sorcerers.
Among those texts were vague references suggesting that the Sorcerer Supreme possessed the ability to travel between parallel universes.
However, most Sorcerers Supreme strictly followed their principles—they quietly protected their own world and did not interfere with affairs in other universes.
There was also supporting evidence for this.
During previous discussions about the multiverse, Strange had shared certain concepts of the multiverse with him.
If that were the case, perhaps Strange possessed some kind of spell capable of locating—or even sealing away—Spot through parallel-universe travel?
With this thought in mind, Peter went to the Sanctum Sanctorum.
But when he saw Strange, he immediately noticed that Strange's expression was extremely dark.
"Hey, what's wrong, Stephen?" Peter asked curiously. "Who managed to anger the great Sorcerer Supreme like this?"
Strange frowned deeply.
"Even if you hadn't come looking for me, I was planning to find you," he said. "I've discovered that something is wrong with the multiverse."
"The multiverse is having problems?" Peter was slightly startled.
He had just come to ask Strange about the matter—and Strange had thrown an even bigger issue at him?
Could there really be such a coincidence?
"Yes," Strange said. "I discovered that the barrier of our universe was shaken not long ago. Someone from another universe must have entered our world, and they're probably hiding somewhere here right now."
"You can't even find them?" Peter asked.
Strange shook his head.
"No. Their methods are very sophisticated. This is a dangerous individual."
"Would this count as an interdimensional being?" Peter asked curiously. "If they start causing trouble in our universe, could they damage something like 'weaving events' or 'weaving nodes'?"
"Weaving events? Weaving nodes? What are those?" Strange asked, puzzled.
"They're like certain events that determine the story or direction of a universe," Peter explained. "Doesn't our universe have something like that?"
Strange shook his head and looked at Peter oddly.
"Did you run into something strange in another universe? Our universe does have something similar, but it's called the Sacred Timeline, and it has nothing to do with weaving."
Then he paused and added thoughtfully:
"Though when you say 'weaving,' considering you're a little spider… does it have something to do with you? Are you planning to turn us into food?"
As he spoke, Strange stroked his chin in thought.
"As for 'interdimensional being,' you could say that. But I prefer calling them visitors from parallel universes."
"Uh… what are you talking about? Other universes and stuff?" Peter's eyes darted around as he tried to play dumb.
But deep inside, he was extremely shocked.
This guy…
How does he seem to know everything?
